2nd comment after watching the video, If Canaan can get the mountain open, I might give it the slightest edge of Timberline. Canaan has some awesome terrain!
I snuck to over to Timberline again this weekend! Was incredible. Decided to hit Canaan when more terrain opens, its my childhood mountain, can't wait to get back! Also, haven't forgotten about 7 springs and wildcat!
That's definitely an "if". Before Christmas, I skied Timberline at 80% open when Canaan at the same time had only 5 green runs, 1 lift and 1 magic carpet going. Same weather, but Perfect North / Timberline seems to benefit from the profit motive in getting snow on the ground and trails open.
Thanks for the new upload, btw Timberline is amazing right now, took my girl snowboarding for her first time and got her down Salamander by end of the day!
This is my home mountain, even though it’s 1:45 drive. Board there 2-3 times a week. The ticket lady is the sweetest. Fully open, this Mountain has come character! Whoopdeedoo’ is a fun but short Double Black.
That's awesome you can get out there that often. Its a race course out there, a lot of fun to ski there for sure. She's the sweetest lady I've ever come across, love NC!
@@spookyg5969 how so?? Maybe for the lesser boarder…. Beech is 5 runs that are exactly the same with slow/broken lifts. Only reason you or anyone says beech is due to the park.
These NC spots certainly are charming with their old school feel, you can tell a lot of these places came up in the 60s-70s and haven't changed much. Terrain here looks a bit better than the Cat, though this is more of a 4-5 hour drive for me so tough day trip. May have to check it out now though after seeing your footage. Looks like you got some good shredding in and the 6-pack lift is a massive plus. That thing at Timberline totally spoiled me last year and it's been hard riding some of these turtle slow lifts this season, lol.
Feel like you go back in time with that Austrian ski flair up there lol, or those ski comedys of old haha. the six pack does allow more runs, but cat's steep section definitely was longer. haha I hear you, its amazing how much a lift can alter the entire experience. so hyped to see all your footage man, keep it coming! Also, timberline footage should be out this week as well!
@@ADHski I'm looking forward to that man! I have off for MLK day and half debating going up to Cataloochee, but we're getting pounded with torrential rain the last couple of days here so not sure how much of their base they'll have left.
@@ADHskiIt’s not really a fair comparison with Cat at the time you were skiing though cause it looked like the only steep run open was Tom. If you came at a later date you would find Gunther’s Way to be open which is honestly like a mini Snowshoe Western Territory.
This is super amazing, I'm watching this from Africa Somalia ❤❤❤❤
wow, worldwide!
@@ADHski yea worldwide, I was looking at skiing videos and yours pop-up, thanks for sharing this video with us 😊
I love the name of this mountain. Great entrance sign, retro! Still plenty of time in the season, can’t wait to see where else you hit.
Old school feel down at the NC resorts! Thanks for watching

Crazy how much snow you guys have, southern PA it's basically all grass at our resorts right now.
Liberty and Whitetail, my closest resorts. Not sure they'll get a video this year at this pace lol

@@ADHski def a race course. With the detach 6 chair, 30 runs days are a thing. It’s a great mountain for the weekday warriors!
Beech>sugar

Had a great time man, hope to ski with you sometime in the future!!
Had a blast shredding ! for sure, we will rendezvous on the slopes once again!
I Skied at Sugar for the first time yesterday. Was good, snowed all day and not too busy. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 on the shred scale
Definitely a fun mountain! Had that fun factor for sure out there. Would love to try that Double Black run
