@@TheSimpleHaus I’ve been reusing Amazon wrapping paper but I don’t usually have enough. My wife on the other hand buys a ton of wrapping paper on clearance every December 26th haha. So we have a closet full of it. Not for long!!!

You are right, in most cases, this isn't something I would add to all drawers in my kitchen. For this section, I needed a lot of smaller drawers, and I wanted the uniform look of one large front, but you are correct, I can only store smaller items in each one. Thanks so much for watching!!

I also noticed with the two carry bags that I got from this last video, that they both got holes in that area too. I can't tell if it is that bag quality or that my kids are just older, more rough, or careless with the bags as they hurriedly back up their lunches at school. According to their website the two Compatible ones are the Lunch Tote Bag and Lunch Sack. I feel like with the explorer you have more options as far as bags go. I would personally try a few out from amazon to see. For instance, I personally would try out the amzn.to/3WDFKYB packit freezeable lunch box as you can easily fit it plus a drink in it. This one is way more basic, but has decent reviews for the price. amzn.to/3Ac6iXW Or maybe this carhartt if it is a for a teen boy amzn.to/3Ac6l64 . Please let us know what you end up choosing so others can see which lunch boxes work for you!

We did seriously consider building our own cabinets from scratch and using the blum hardware, but I will definitely have to look into add some of their other features. Right now, I don't need that as my two hidden drawers are less used than the main one that is opened at the bottom. However, as the rest of my kitchen gets upgraded that will most likely change. Unfortunately the grease is inside of that housing portion. If, I could have just oiled it, that would have been amazing!

If your background has color on it even gray, saving as a .png won’t remove that background. So it will still show it on the icon. You will have to delete or erase the background before saving. If you have other questions, please let me know!

@@ztiddle Are you sure there isn't a layer that you have as hidden that has a color to it? Which program are you using to do your edits?

If you are wanting the colored coating then the Dark Brown Edge Kote - amzn.to/34VLlRX is what would work for you. If you are needing just a clear coat to protect it from weather then use the Acrylic Resolene Finish - amzn.to/3N1WvWD . You can definitely stain the leather before hand!I had no experience with that so that is the only reason that I went the route I did. I hope it works well for you.

@@TheSimpleHaus Can any alternative materials be used? Like, are there cork sheets which could possibly be wrapped and stained too?

@@Mossy179 I think so, it would just need to be a similar thickness, and that should work. I have seen wedges with cork or even the rattan cord on the heels. Those are great ideas!

@@TheSimpleHaus I have a nice pair of Pinkolinos boots that have the usual stacked leather wrapping which is already peeling away. I get tired of this material and thought perhaps staining a nice cork sheet of similar width with a dark brown stain may provide a much classier and substantial look. I can't find any YT videos or articles of people doing it, however. I find this leather stacked stuff cheap as it always peels off in strips. Perhaps cork would be higher quality?

@@Mossy179 I think the cork would look great, but I think it will be just as durable as the leather that I link to. Now, if you do a few extra coats of the resolene acrylic that would definitely help strengthen it.

These are only our breakfast chairs/ sit at the bar to do homework chairs so for us it isn't a big deal at all. We have a regular dining table where we eat and sit longer if hosting a meal. If these were my only sitting/eating chairs to use, then yes I would want a back on them.

Sorry for the late response, I watched this video around the th-cam.com/video/Jj5-xA549wo/w-d-xo.html 2:50 mark it shows how to install the drawer lighting. I think the top light with the hidden drawer might work barley fit. The lower two hidden and medium drawer, I don't think there is enough space. I will try and add a few lights to my next ikea order to try it out. Thanks for watching!

I didn't realize that the taller container would fit my base. I have to admit, even though the taller more narrow container would work better in some instances, I'm not sure I would ever buy one. I have a few relatives that have the tall container, and I just can't get used to how it works. Since I started with the low profile container, I just learned how to get the results I want in different ways. However, thanks so much for sharing this information!!!

So you have a high drawer on the bottom instead of a medium drawer either can have the high drawer front attached to it.

@@TheSimpleHaus I have high drawers upper and lower. The end panel at the back of the drawer has the bars attached

@@alski259 Yes, I changed out the top high drawer for a medium and attached the same drawer front if you want the option I show to work.

They definitely have weight to them. I feel like they are very hard to tip over! I think each weighs almost 25 lbs. our previous Amazon ones were very light(but totally different style), and that is why one broke. I put it on the island to clean and it just slipped off and the plastic broke. Let me know if you have other questions!

I have heard that the self detect has issues. I almost bought a newer vitamix so I could get the food processor attachment, but decided against it after reading so many frustrated reviews. I hope you get find a way to fix it!

Very true!! I have seen a lot of families using yoto minis for their grandparents in nursing homes since they are easier to use than cell phones especially if someone struggles with dimensia or those types of issues. I wouldn't have thought of that but find it brilliant. Thanks for the comment!

I know in the USA it sound strange to say it that way, but that is the correct way. Not sure why they changed the way it is pronounced for the USA commercials, etc. 🤷‍♀️ I have had a few employees say, ohh you say it right! when shopping there 🤪😂

So in the planner, you select the cabinet that you want. Then click the "modify" pencil button on the top left. In that menu, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the blue "customize" button. Then a pop up will show, and you click the blue "Modify" button. Then click the blue "add something" button. Then select a hidden drawer, and it should jump into the right spot. It gives less options that more drawers are already in the cabinet. You can click on each item and delete it, and then proceed to add what you are needing/wanting in the cabinet to make some cool Customization. If you need more help, please let me know. I can make a quick video or short about that.

Ok I’ll try it this way. I was doing it a bit differently but I know exactly what you’re talking about. This is driving me nuts I need to complete this already so I can order these install It and put unit out for rent. I went to ikea yesterday logging in to planner these guys are knuckle heads. I corrected there error several times when they were trying to maneuver base cabinets and modify they don’t know what they are doing and they keep answering my questions no no you can’t do that etc.. Thanks

@@pipefitterwithguns8688 I do agree it is very hit or miss on the kitchen specialists. Some I get are AMAZING some aren't. I just over plan everything. A few times I just told them, I know the planner doesn't let me, but I want you add 2 extra hidden drawers to my order etc. They thought I was crazy, but did it. I always order a few extra things I might need, and then not open them if they are extra and return them later. I just hate trying to finish something, and I'm missing one item. Good Luck!

So we don't have any issues with that they adjust really well. I was nervous that since three of ours are used that they wouldn't hold up as well, but I can't actually tell which was the new one. I did read that if during assembly there is an issue, this tip might help, "Tip: Remember to press the black button on top of the shaft (3min 10sec in video) before connecting the base and upper part. My husband has a 3D printer,but the time it would take for us to get it perfect wasn’t worth it to me. I also was shocked and expected more stretching and tearing on the adventure jackets.
