    Do you prefer a full bleed look for your YOTO Cards? Have you used a different method than I went over?

    Thanks a lot for the video! I used the template and printed but it wasn't full bleed? I followed instructions to the letter I believe. Any ideas?

      Hey super sorry that that happened. My first idea is to check that it wasn't scaling the template on your printer settings to "fit to page". That happened to me once. The next idea would be to stretch your image a bit bigger than each box to make sure that it will for sure cover the whole card. If I'm not understanding 100% please comment, so I can help troubleshoot this. Thanks for watching!

    I'm having trouble opening the template from Google Drive in Photopea. How do you save the template so it opens up in Photopea and fits? I've tried pdf, jpeg, and png to no avail. The latter two just show up as a small rectangle in my Photopea file which I think kinda defeats the purpose of using the template

      I'm sorry your having some issues! In google docs, I hit the file, download button, and then selected PDF. From there I open Photopea. Then at the top hit file, open, and find the PDF file you saved. Then it will not resize it. Let me know if that fixes your problem.

    I am having a difficult time getting mine to print. I have a mac and Preview does not want to open and print your google doc template. Did you make your google doc template editable? Any suggestions?

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't make the google template, but found it to use free online. I would suggest once you have all of the fronts in the correct size and place, deleting that layer from the program (photoshop or photopea) you are working with. Then save as a PDF and see if preview will let you open it. You can try and print from photopea or photoshop straight, but sometimes it does try and scale the files. I only use mac so it definitely worked for me. If that doesn't work, please let me know. I also have this video th-cam.com/video/IlYtLwdM9_k/w-d-xo.html that is an updated version that does a whole tutorial without using the template at all. Not sure if that is more helpful.

    Can you put audiobooks on the make your own cards? Or is it just music? All the TH-cam videos I see only show how to make music cards

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can definitely put audiobooks on your own cards you just have to make sure any one track is not longer than 60 minutes. But you can add up to 100 tracks per card. They have a system where you can record someone through the app and it will make it into a track that you can add onto a make your own card. A lot of people use this for grandparents or relatives reading or telling a story etc. let me know if you have any other questions.

      @@TheSimpleHaus thank you! We don’t have anyone to read book so I would have to buy the audiobooks. I’m disabled so I’m out of breath to finish a whole story and my kids don’t have family. My husband speaks English as a second language so he doesn’t do the voices right lol this is the main reason I’m getting the Yoto because my kids I think are behind with no one to read to them. Your reviews have helped!

      @@slowslug3247 Oh that totally makes sense! I hope you enjoy the yoto. We have had ours a year now, and we are very happy with it. They have lots of new cards, and are always coming out with new ones. I also prefer my kids listening to audiobooks over watching things if possible.

    Have you ever made them with the Cricut?

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't because I don't have one, but on the facebook group or even in yoto space I have seen where people either print the labels on the plain paper and have the cricut cut them out for them facebook.com/groups/Yotoplayergroup/posts/3069827519955959/
      or they make little labels cut out my cricut that they design themselves. Similar to Jane's Card with words, etc. Hope that helps, thanks for watching.

    Hi in sticker you, are those the actual measurements? 2.24 by 4.33? Ty.

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! The actual Yoto Card is 3.375 inches wide by 2.125 inches. So you would. want your label that size. The template I linked above is the exact yoto card size. Let me know if this doesn't answer your question.

      Your reply is a bit confusing as Yoto cards are the same size as any credit card which is precisely 3.375 inches wide by 2.125 ? @@TheSimpleHaus

    Ugh I don’t have a computer you need to open an Etsy shop for us mom that aren’t tech savvy

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would love to do that, I just don't know if I sell the labels if it would become copyright infringement. ☹ However, you could get them printed at a Staples or another place like that. Does your library have computers you can use? Ours you can check them out for free and free wifi as well as printers.
