I got my first minky couture blanket a few weeks ago. I love it so much that I had to take advantage of the 15th birthday discount to get one for my mom. She loves her blanket as much as I love mine! I have the June Travel sized Hugs blanket, and my mom has the cotton candy caramel Hugs blanket in the same size. It’s the best blanket I have EVER had!!! I would love to meet sandi one day!

I'm amazed at how accomplished she seems and how affluent her life seems. Running, playing the harp, having 3 kids, living in a beautiful home. I haven't had anything near her traumas and I can barely take care of myself.

What a wonderful video. The interview and editing with Elizabeth in Part 1 was so well done! To hear Elizabeth speak about all that she went thru, how she has moved on in her life, and is a rockstar advocate for victims of sexual violence is inspiring. Her resilience to live life beyond her tragedy is truly amazing. The wonderful advice she gives about forgiveness and finding ones own inner strength is life changing. Thank you to Sandi (Minky) for opening this dialogue and for the generous gifting of these special blankets you selflessly donate to so many worthwhile charities and organizations. I love this idea- I know I would love one! I remember when I was scared, I would hide in my blanket for security. I would make a small peephole whilst hiding in under my blanket- so that I can breathe! I would hover so tightly under the blankets afraid to move! At times, I couldn't breathe! You are amazing Elizabeth. How you were able to go on in your life and do so good is incredible to me. How you didn't fall apart after being rescued I'll never understand. That just tells me your faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ and your family has always been so very strong. It's a joy seeing what you continue to do in your life and how you continue to build people up. You really are pretty amazing!

People who ask "Why didn't you run?" or "Why didn't you say something to that detective in the library?" need to understand, that Mitchell broke into her house and kidnapped her, what could stop him from doing it again? He repeatedly told her if she ran, or tried to run, if she said anything he didn't want her to, that he would kill her and her family. He also raped her EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. It's easy to say "I would've ran" "I would've shouted for help" and "I would've spoken up sooner" but until you're in that situation, you can't for certain say you would've done it differently.

And she went back to the religion and community that props up purity culture and idolizes virginity as a woman's moth worthy trait. Sad.
