How can anyone keep all of the details in their mind....one mistake with starting tin work and the whole project is screwed
It's important to observe very well when you disassemble everything and then the mechanics always has its own logic that guides during reconstruction.
I’m in the proceed of doing this to my 1972 DSpecial. All 11 pieces of the body are at the paint shop. All mechanicals are done.
Good! For the body It's important to check where the outer panels are folded onto the box parts. And also to che the chassis spars and boxes inside.

Z zainteresowaniem oglądnąłem Pana filmiki. Były mi bardzo pomocne. Rozebrałem 2CV ponad 20 lat temu (rama...) i dopiero teraz składam. Mam w tym samym kolorze 86r. Wiele szczegółów zapomniałem, stąd przydało się obejrzeć Pana filmiki. Nie wiem jak jest mocowany błotnik tylny na dole z tyłu... Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
Tylny błotnik jest przykręcony w pobliżu drzwi i wewnątrz koła przechodzi do tyłu, gdzie jest tylko kawałek blachy złożony jak hak Pozdrowienia.
patrz 3.38 > w czasie regulacji wysokości zawieszenia nie widzę aby samochód był podnoszony. Uważam to za duży błąd. Regulując np. przednie zawieszenie, tył samochodu musi być uniesiony, koła nie mogą dotykać ziemi. Jeszcze ważne, aby podnośnik podpierał samochód dokładnie w środku (między lewym i prawym kole). I podobnie z regulacją tyłu. gdzie przód musi być uniesiony. To jest bardzo ważne dla stabilnej jazdy po nierównościach. Bez spełnienia tego warunku, samochód będzie niestabilny w czasie jazdy z tendencja kiwania się na boki. Pozdrawiam.
wysokość gruntu została dostosowana dokładnie tak, jak przewiduje oryginalna instrukcja Citroen. Z poważaniem.

Old one replated Paul.! I think is difficult to find similar ones now. Easier to find old and replate.

They are masterpieces of the history of the car, I would never distort them to make them electric. Technology that we know is not the future. The 2 CV then pollutes much less than what it pollutes by producing the electricity that would be needed to recharge!
Je ne vois pas beaucoup de graisse anti corrosive au remontage.Les mêmes problèmes vont ressurgir très vite.Dommage 😮Quant à l’aluminium brossé,il ne se rénove pas à sec mais avec des polish spécial aluminium ou de la farine frottée à sec avec un chiffon de laine.Ce qui évite les micro rayures!
Je ne peux pas montrer tout dans les vidéos, on voit seulement certaines phases du travail. Contre la corrosion je prends toutes les précautions possibles. Graisse au cuivre et toutes sortes de graisses là où elles sont nécessaires. En outre, tous les caissons du châssis et de la carrosserie sont enduits de cire.Quant à l’aluminium,il est nettoyé avec le grain très fin de la laine d’acier puis avec du polish et de la laine. Pas de micro-rayures! : -)

Always a pleasure to see another Deesse saved. Very watchable, subtitles mean a split second lost from absorbing the picture and in this film English jumps above then below Italian then back again making it slightly more difficult to follow. Very enjoyable though.
Yes you are right! this movie has been done using different clips and images originally thought for a different project. Then I lost the camera (stolen with al the movies of the restoration) and I used all I had to assemble the history of this restoration... :-(

Pregunto 1) las crucetas son cardanicas u homocineticas? 2) Cambió los Ferodos de amortiguación por actuales? 3) El chassis es de AcInox, o galvanizado? 4) Porque no colocó los batidores de inercia? 5) Usó correa dentada y no la original para el alternador/dinamo? Gracias y felicitaciones
1) Homocinéticos 2) He cambiado todos los cilindros centrales incluyendo de resortes, tigi y ferodi y los cilindros son de acero inoxidable. 3) Galvanizado, no creo que el marco entero en acero inoxidable existe. 4) Porque no estaban montados ni siquiera de serie su este modelo.5) Si al principio solo tenía eso, pero luego lo cambié por el original liso. Ciao!

Dal 1987 al 1990 e venduta ( pentito ancora adesso 😟) perché avevo acquistato la Peugeot 205 XS 1370 cc...Ero giovane e non pensavo a tenerla per un domani... Adesso la sto cercando su internet, sperando di trovarla... anche da farci qualche lavoro sopra... (Non come il tuo capolavoro perché non ho le capacità 🤷)... Ciao Francesco

Man now I am afraid of buying and fixing a 2cv when you see how thoroughly it is done here. They say it's one of the, if not the easiest car to fix and work on your own if you don't have any previous experience. What talent to be able to do such a thing.
Thank you. Don't be afraid.The easy thing is that you don't need special tool to work on it. With a spanner of 11 you disassemble the 80% of it... :-)
Thanks. Your restoration looks better than when it came out of the factory! I am thinking more of a rolling restoration. Beside the Haynes manual do you recommend other literature material for restoring or understanding the build of the 2cv? Cheers!@@citro-garage
I suggest to refer to the original citroën manuals, even if for the 2cv they are not made as well as for the DS, they, contain all the correct parameters for the setting of everything. Haynes is sometimes not accurate.

Hello 👍 je ne connais pas cette pièce sous le volant ? En plastique ou vous avez remis une sorte de sortie d air que l on vous a vu délicatement nettoyer... C'est une option que vous vous êtes inventé ? Puis savoir quel est son rôle ? Magnifique tableau de bord❤ la couleur ❤ MERCI 👍
Si vous faites référence à la pièce en aluminium, c’est le cadre des leviers de l’air du chauffage. Le cadre est installé dans la partie du tableau de bord en métal noir où est également insérée la grille du haut-parleur de la radio. Ce sont toutes des pièces originales.

Complimenti. Grande soddisfazione vedere il lavoro che va avanti ed il risultato finale. Mi ricordo mio padre, carrozziere catanese del '31, cresciuto in officina ed abituato,nel lontano passato,a portare avanti il lavoro anche con mezzi di fortuna. Era vero artigianato,non c'era carta abrasiva,si usava polvere di pietra pomice ed un tampone,stampo,martello e lima e mi raccontava che non essendoci disponibili ricambi molto spesso capitava di trovare un parafango del lato opposto e piano piano rigirarlo.....le decorazioni le faceva a mano libera,con un ciuffetto di setole....mi ha insegnato tanto, soprattutto a non mollare.....ha insegnato il mestiere a tanti,ha iniziato in piccolo ed è arrivato ad avere 12 operai.....buon lavoro e buona vita

Oui, merci. En 68, les flèches supplémentaires sur les ailes n’étaient pas encore obligatoires, heureusement, le porte-plaques italien ne m’a jamais plu.
Pour remplacer une sphère de suspension, le serrage de la nouvelle sphère se fait uniquement à la main, sinon ensuite c'est indémontable...
Oui, vous avez raison, mais comme vous le voyez, la clé est en cuir et je ne serre pas fort, seulement légèrement en appliquant la même force que j’aurais utilisé avec les mains, qui étaient glissantes et graisseuses d’huile verte :-)
