Always a pleasure to see another Deesse saved. Very watchable, subtitles mean a split second lost from absorbing the picture and in this film English jumps above then below Italian then back again making it slightly more difficult to follow. Very enjoyable though.
Yes you are right! this movie has been done using different clips and images originally thought for a different project. Then I lost the camera (stolen with al the movies of the restoration) and I used all I had to assemble the history of this restoration... :-(

It is bolted. The fiberglass roof has a metal frame with appendices with holes and the bolts pass through the chassis frame and through the slots then the nuts from the inside of the roof tightens everything. In the latest versions the roof was just glued.
One of the few truly great things to come out of France... ...and they put a 127 HP engine in it. It could have been the greatest, and 127 HP? Why am I not surprised?
This car could have had a more powerful engine, of course. But if you could have driven it, you would understand that power has never been a limit for this car. Not by chance it won so many competitions, rallies and raids, beating all the opponents. Its legendary road holding, still today is unbeatable.

The body is Gris Palladium AC108/B; The roof is Gris Argeant AC100, that was one of the two original possible combination, the other one for 1968 version, was AC200 Black! AC 100 passing the time and exposure to the sun light became more similar to beige.

Comme écrit dans la vidéo, la restauration avait été mieux documentée, mais la caméra a été volée. Heureusement, il reste des photos et des vidéos prises avec le téléphone qui documentent toutes les opérations les plus importantes sauf le moteur. Sur cette chaîne, vous pouvez trouver les autres restaurations faites comme des séries d’épisodes. Salut!

The stainless steel exhaust in not the very best, and not original. It also has a higher sound level than the original, and also an other sound picture or character.
The original exhaust is made of a very poor metal. Because the pipes are very long, they keep humidity and rusts very soon. Stainless steel is everlasting! The sound is the same because the silencers work good.
It's only just a matter of personal preferences... I think DS is nice in cold colors and hot colors do not bring out the reflections of its beautiful lines

I’m in the proceed of doing this to my 1972 DSpecial. All 11 pieces of the body are at the paint shop. All mechanicals are done.
Good! For the body It's important to check where the outer panels are folded onto the box parts. And also to check the chassis spars and boxes inside.

@@citro-garage Mufflers rarely rusted out, the flex pipe often fractured/broke and the tail pipes ALWAYS rusted out.
Not a very nice colour for a Pallas. Looks much better in a darker colour, like dark blue or black.
