This was a really incredibly helpful practice. Wow, did I feel that sadness deep inside. I started crying. My anger has been trying to protect a small, longing, misunderstood, betrayed and abandoned version of myself. I am doing a lot of work to honor, show up for, sit with, validate, all of those difficult experiences. I will return to this practice again. Thank you

Just wanted to thank you for this practice. My first foray into weekend yoga (I’m a weekday exerciser and weekend relaxer usually) but I’m perimenopausal and have been feeling crunchy by the time Monday comes around… then today Saturday morning when I ought to be full of the joys of the weekend.. I found myself i an internal rage… rationally I know it’s just hormones but I had to deal with it and this was just what I needed to get through the rest of the day without impacting my undeserving family.. thank you thank you thank you 🙏🏻💜

This has been so helpful to me. The second time I had just finished doing this, I discovered the anger was to protect my inner child who is very precious, pure, innocent, curious, intuitive and very senstive, who was being taken for granted and was made to feel worthless and wrong. Thank you so much!

Very helpful, thank you! I never learned that I am safe to express healthy anger so I have been the good girl/woman all my life. It has made me avoid conflicts and suppress all anger only for it to build up and up on the inside. Learning to feel it in a healthy way and communicate when something has upset me.

I just discovered your videos and they are such a blessing. I knew I had to move my grief and sadness somehow but I did it wrong the whole year I've been carrying it. Not only that, but I did it too aggressively and tore a muscle, had injuries on my shoulder and knee because of my ungentle approach. Now I see I need to feel the feeling first and then see what I can do WITH my body, in tune with my body.

I’ve always been very disconnected from my body and was very cruel to my body with overly aggressive exercise (no rest tolerated!) and an eating disorder. I re-tried yoga out of desperation to help myself with complex ptsd, injuries, and body image issues. It really helped but I felt like there might be something more. I then heard about somatic exercise and found your channel. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. They’ve been very helpful ❤
