I think part of the problem is that the driver is not running their siren constantly... At the start they kept turning it off, I'd keep it going.
this job would have too much responsibility for me, im glad there are people who can manage.
I attended (as ambulance service) a fatal RTC on Nine Mile Ride about 3 months ago. I can't see the road now without vividly remembering it.
Rather than blame the motorists why don’t people blame the state of the roads and road works in the uk, that doesn’t help
Hopefully they weren’t having a heart attack or something
Siren model? Sounds a bit like premier hazard but not sure what one.
In the Netherlands, clearing the lane works perfectly. The Germans, the English and the Americans are too stupid for that?
Just goes to show how bad the driving standards are in this country I hope the van was reported, why we don’t intraduse the lane clears or keep to the side like Germany I think it’s crazy these 🔔🔚have no clue
My grandad drives faster than this and he's dead.
probably why...
@@succulent951 lol
Not quite sure the acid spill, was it Hydrochloric, Hydroflouric or Hyaluronic acid? Guy in the big blue transit, need to go at once for an eyesight test and a hearing test. No excuse for him not seeing or hearing an emergency vehicle behind him like that and you did give him more than sufficient ways including getting into his nearside and offside mirror views.
Another fine drive Lord G, through Crowthorne
Good drive, though I wouldn't have undertaken the blue van, I was taught never to do that on my response course even if it means sitting behind someone for a few mins getting in their mirrors, changing tones and headlight flashing
Fair comment, although after a certain amount of time and reading the driver situation, and passing with caution it was, in my opinion at the time, ok to do.
Good to see people doing Deviations when they didn't even need to. I know I get acknowledgments for these.
Nice drive, that big multilane junction and navigating that oblivious blue van in particular, I hope they got a big shock when you passed them on the left! "I didn't know they were there" Exactly! Clueless drivers.
5:56? If so, this is where and when I am really in love with Wig-Wags; You just can't say you didn't see them!
Have you still got your trusty mondeo or did the Fire and rescue service insist you upgrade
@mortgagewizard40 no she died in 2022, but I did replace her with a mk5 mondeo st line.... very nice she is too, named her lizzie after HM Elizabeth II
I have also retired now....
Um, back in 2018 .
Nice to see you back
Thanks for that. It might be just for this one as I found it in my archives, I will keep hunting through though.
@EmergencydriveUK thats okay if it is but good driving and that with condition
Was it really worth it ? By the time the camera car got there the situation looked well under control. BTW, was the camera car unmarked ?
Yes I was in an unmarked car, and I was responsible for safety on scene so had to attend regardless.
@@EmergencydriveUK - still looked to me that the situation was in hand by the other professionals already there. However, it's my opinion that if the occupants of a vehicle are that important to be able to use "Blues & Twos" then they should only be in clearly marked and very conspicuous vehicles. It easy to obtain & fit covert "Blues & Twos" so unmarked vehicles could be anyone.
They overtook illegally.
50 % of the drivers were asleep. They didn’t respond with the police car alongside them with sirens wailing.
1:52 - Really good use of an Exemption to make progress after the earlier traffic treacle (like jam, but stickier). 2:07 - Nice Deviation by red one (VW Golf?) 2:34 - Another really good use of an Exemption. 2:34 to 3:41 - Good Deviations by oncoming. 3:42 to - Good Deviations all round. Nice use of Exemption at underpass. And again at 6:25. 6:36. General - Brilliant works by cammer to make progress. I'm not sure if using cycle lanes is an approved Deviation or not, but it *should be*.
@user-ig1xo3om2x thank you for your comments, it's very easy for some to critise when they don't really know what training has been given. Thanks
The fire engine's blue lights look like they just blink every few seconds. Are they really like that or is it the camera not picking it up?
@@DominicCarter-z4v that will be the camera frame rate
those sirens are awful.....
The liver run was the most breathtaking run ever
1:46 never pressure vehicles to mount the pavement. 2:50 Do not clearly force other vehicles to mount the pavement. That is something you can be prosecuted for, blue lights or not as it was dangerous driving at 02:50. 6:25 unacceptable to do this against oncoming vehicles. This driver needs retraining. The reason for attending incidents is being reviewed. For example, there is no reason for a chief fire officer to attend a fire in a car when he can travel with firefighters. Why get there quicker and stand about doing nothing until colleagues show. There were a few fake ambulance vehicles being used in the North West for pleasure, the blue lights got the driver excited. He went to prison. NHS, Fire Service and Police do not permit this type of video to be made and posted to profit from it. It's serious misconduct, so all you and others do is help identify people and get them sacked quicker.
A word to people fitting emergency lighting... don't put lots of tiny lights below bonnet level and expect a vehicle to become visible. If too close, those lights can not be seen and if too many are on, it reduces their effectiveness. Stick to a proper marked vehicle with lights on the roof. Maybe put some lights at the top of the windscreen, but don't use small cheap lights with narrow angle of light projection as most rivers will never see them. 100Watt sirens are fairly useless compared to two tone horns due to the frequency used. Modern cars have sound insulation and people have music on. You can here a 300Hz horn, but not a 1KHz siren. Road planning departments are a huge problem as they narrow lanes, making it impossible for people to move over to the sides.
I reckon I would knock a few minutes of that time in a old Mondeo estate. So many yyyyyy . I really think that our emergency drivers need a fresh trainer. Chess masters of the rds do exist . Maybe the 999 boys need to hire 1 fast.
What is the vehicle being driven in this video?
Ford Mondeo
I used to drive that road quite frequently. The Idiot Quotient is still as high as it was 25 years ago.
2:21 no, you were supposed to kill your sirens, by keeping them on and sniffing the drivers bumper, you put pressure on the driver
And now sick curio has gone out of business. ???
Assume you have an xjr1300sp, I loved mine in blue
I wonder if these stupid drivers would behave the same way on Dutch and especially German highways? Maybe the UK police have no penalties for such behavior and that's why drivers are so retarded
This also proves why we should NOT have smart motorways with NO hard shoulder.
Always one divvy driver isn’t there 😮 🤦
Darling, your tea is out!
Who the **** was the numpty driving the van?
This is why smart motorways should be removed/banned through out UK and have a brakedown lane only.you will notice the hard shoulder was the fastest way to get the detination of the accident.Just think if it were a smart motorway? it would be jam packed with traffic in lane one too.
The person with the merc in the hard shoulder couldn't be standing in a worse position
I'm shouting at the screen FUCKING MOVE OVER 😢
0:50 That van made me so angry. Sat there completely oblivious. Looks as if they were going quite fast too.
even in parisian highways it's easier for emergency vehicles to get through traffic, and if you've ever been to paris you know how bad it is there. this is shocking.
Some folks are real slow to move
Are some of these drivers asleep.😠

Moving Car Police Get By Car Crash From Neil
Very bad drivers.
motorcycles.... wonderful things they'd be in this situation innit?
Very good for getting to the incident quickly. Not so good for carrying all the necessary equipment you'll need to when you get there.
People are not constantly looking in their mirrors but should be more aware I don’t think it helps when there’s heavy traffic and nowhere to go, sometimes it’s best to keep moving and pull over when safe, as an ex coach driver I can say we had to do that also usually spotted in advance and would be looking for appropriate place to stop emergency vehicle would carry on without hindrance got a lot of toots and thumbs up from fire drivers & crew
Did half the doughnuts ever pass a test!
So the UK will give blind, deaf, and even mentally retarded people drivers licenses? Very inclusive, much respect!👍
