    Good safe solid drive, holding back when needed and not panicking other drivers.

    the UK, probably the only place on earth where you see emergency vehicles switch off the sirens when at a red traffic light standing behind backed up traffic in order not to force them to move; Everywhere else: move or get a ticket

    • @EmergencydriveUK
      @EmergencydriveUK  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the way it is over here, if the public cross the red light they would get a ticket, even worse they could get a ticket for dangerous driving if they caused an accident. We are trained to give way and assess the risk to others. We can not bully people to break the law.

      @@EmergencydriveUK we wouldn't have time for that s**t, how are we supposed to get there fast if we'd constantly stop and wait at red lights? Unfortunately derivers from the UK rather follow their own traffic laws when driving abroad and don't move over when an EV behind them forces to; If I had a PA system on my unit I'd definetly use it and tell them to, unfortunately we don't have one, while some other emergency vehicles have one and make use of it, telling drivers to move through the red light and into the intersection. Wouldn't be concidered as breaking the law as the actually follow the law to clear the path for emergency vehicles which enforce their right of way. Not being defined more precisely this law expects drivers to do whatever makes most sense and is necessary in a specific situation, it can also include to speed up, or to mount the curb and drive up the sidewalk, move into bus lanes or to move through a red light into an intersection which can usually be done without endangering anyone

    Is the driver the channel owner or are the videos sent to this channel for upload? a video walk around of his car would be good just to see how it’s kitted up.

    I do beleive the Blue BMW might have still been oblivious to you to start with as when the car moved for you at 1.45 he then moved a bit which closed the gap slightly so the car moving set him off.

    That van was soooo slow to respond. Also not sure what the significance of the two horn beep was on occasion.

      Horn controller for sirens installed - tap horn for on/off/change tone

    • @connor6585
      @connor6585 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      2 taps for siren off basically but sometimes they use the horn if a vehicle fails to move but most are fitted with bullhorns now, this drivers setup is very outdated judging by only two siren tones that are very dated and also not fitted with a bullhorn.

      @@EmergencydriveUK as long as it works :) Some of our fire engines still have two tone airhorns fitted for those moments when the wailers alone just don't cut it.

    You drive with sirens on all the time, and turn them off at the red traffic light. You will then no longer have priority in the Netherlands.

    • @EmergencydriveUK
      @EmergencydriveUK  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      We dont have priority here at red lights, we have to give way and we are taught to not 'bully' other road users across the red light. Hence if not safe then we turn the siren off to prevent the public putting themselves in danger. It is the same for all services here in the UK
