    Self sabotage is happening in all sectors in the Nigeria economy, crippling growth in that country. Self-inflicted sabotage in PHCN and power sector, they can't even metre the houses to charge fairly, Self inflicted sabotage in other sectors like education, health, transport, e.t.c.

    Great news from regional competitions. The neighbouring countries aren't playing. They capitalise on Nigeria's self sabotage, inflicted by Nigeria people themselves. Destroying all sectors that would have catapulted Nigeria to high league paired countries like China, UK, Dubai, Brazil, Singapore, South Africa, Morocco, and the countries I call Saudi Sea, and Desert Countries. Bad leaders sabotaging their own country. Greed and unacceptable manner management idealogy! By the time Ghana had made all the profit back from this refinery, which is still in the pipeline. Dangote and all the refineries in Nigeria or NNPCL will still be shifting production dates. This is what we call sabotage and self-inflicted economy backwardness. This is not good for progress and growth at all for Nigeria.

    Ghana thinks it can challenge Nigeria in every sphere, competing in all area, this is Wrong attitude, Ghana should remember that even Lagos State alone is bigger than the whole of Ghana. Ghana should collaborate with Nigeria than see itself as a competitor with Nigeria.

    A country needs to have abundant cheap electricity to be able to export the excess economically. Cheap sources are hydro, coal and nuclear. Ghana has only one cheap source - hydro, which is augmented with expensive gas and solar. It makes no sense for Ghana to export electricity. Nigeria and other West African countries are better off generating their own electricity from gas, coal and solar.

      The data is actually wrong,Nigeria has the largest gas reserves in the world,202 trillion cubic feet.Russia is 168 trillion in second place but somehow they love to put Russia first...

    • @ariseshinebright8845
      @ariseshinebright8845 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@suntangloryThey put Russia first because Russia is the highest producer of natural gas in the world. Nigerian government prefers to loot the money from crude oil and are not interested in expanding LNG sector. The former Minister of petroleum Timipriye Sylva said that Nigeria have not really searched for gas, we only discover gas in the process of searching for oil. So the figure is base on assumption, it could be more than that. Imagine finding gas in Enugu by just drilling borehole at Carritas University compound. It shows that there is abundant gas in Enugu requires little drilling. The State government are aware of the presence of abundant oil and gas in the state but the federal government prefers to search for oil in the North rather than developing the already known sites in the South East. That's why other countries like Russia, dominated the market. Also the federal government is only depending on the Niger Delta but in the real sense the South East hinterland has the highest deposit of gas in Nigeria, that's according to the latest findings, it was only recently discovered that it's not Imo State that has the highest gas reserve but Anambra State. Another private observer said that there is abundant gas in Enugu State beneath the coal. Now that the West are searching for alternative to Russian gas, Nigeria is not ready yet to replace Russia.

  • @potentiacognitionis

    The comments here prompt us to ask fundamental questions: Should we develop independent arms procurement systems? Are they a priority? What are the benefits, and is it feasible? Lastly, what steps must we take to achieve this? To address the first question-yes, every country should strive for independence in arms procurement. Relying on other nations for military supplies often results in political and economic dominance by those supplying the arms. A clear example is how Western powers dictate what weapons sub-Saharan African countries can purchase and their refusal to sell essential weapons. The Obama administration's denial of much-needed arms to the Jonathan administration led to the fall of Bama town, as the Nigerian Army fled from superior firepower. When Nigeria sought alternative means to acquire these weapons, the U.S. government interfered, spreading false narratives about underhand dealings. Therefore, achieving independence in arms procurement is crucial for political and economic autonomy. Moreover, advancements in military technology often lead to broader technological progress, with benefits extending beyond the defense sector. Nigeria has a talented pool of scientists and engineers, many of whom are dispersed globally, who could make this endeavor feasible. However, the biggest challenge is internal rather than external-corruption, which could divert funds, espionage, and sabotage pose significant risks. If Nigeria is to pursue independent arms procurement, it must also address other priorities such as strengthening the economy, improving infrastructure, enhancing healthcare, and promoting social development. These foundational elements are essential for a prosperous and secure future.
