0:29 it's specifically from Newfoundland & Labrador, which wasn't canadian til 1949 ;) also Pineapple Crush is my preferred beverage opposed to Pepsi - Pineapple Crush is the local variety, as Crush flavors in Canada vary by region, kind of like a japanese Kit Kat. But im told Mary Brown's across Canada stock it when available.

Having lived in Europe, I think Canada is better than Australia for a few reasons. First, it's closer to Europe, so traveling back and forth is easier. Second, Canada feels more European in terms of the people and the culture. Lastly, the climate in Canada is more similar to Europe. Australia is a beautiful country too(I’ve been there) but I prefer Canada.

Go to the Philippines haha.. Marijuana is prohibited, smoking prohibited in some places. You may get more work leaves here if you give birth you can get 3 months leave. You can do whatever you like. Like camping hiking whatever but just be ready of the very hot weather and rainy season. If you want to save you can just plant vegetables . Tipping is not mandatory, you can refuse. A lot of processes can also be done online. Prob is foreigners cannot own real estate except condominiums. 😅Just beware of the Maritesses 😂

Worth noting is how different every city is from the other. I’ve lived in Vancouver, London (Ontario), Toronto, and Montreal. Lifestyles vary, diaspora varies, weather, landscape, culture. I’ve been in Canada for 13 years. My recommendation for new migrants is to research each city to see which one fits their expectations and lifestyle better. British Columbia is VERY different from, say, Quebec. Not only is the language different, but the culture and pace of life greatly differ from one another. The local government in each province works differently, healthcare benefits are different, even immigration programs are different from one province to another. Videos like this are SUPER helpful! But hear people’s experiences from different parts of Canada. My husband is Australian and, to him, Vancouver is closer to Sydney (culturally) than any other. Montreal is more akin to Melbourne, for example. Do your research and you’ll save yourself a lot of trouble when it comes to adjusting to life here in Canada! Extra note: be prepared to yes, tip. It makes no sense. I agree! Especially in fast food. Like, why should I give you extra money when all you did was input my order in a screen 😅 Anyway, cheers!

I feel sorry for people who are forced to live in a poorly-developed and overpopulated country. They can face multiple everyday problems which can make life miserable. I’m not trying to make nasty comments about these countries because people born in them have no control over it and thus may be offended. But I still wish they could have a better life and they deserve it. So I wish better-developed countries would accept them if they speak their language. The best options would be Canada and Australia and I’d be delighted if their governments accepted such migrants with open arms. This is because they’re highly developed, speak English and most of their land areas are uninhabited, thus having a lot of room for more people and may be able to introduce new cities in the future.

I completely disagree about the outdoors and work life balance in Australia vs Canada. I understand in Canada there are a lot of outside activities going on, however my job in Canada aloud 10 days holiday per year which wasn't enough time to go and do these things. Australians are very outdoors type of people and in my opinion more so than the Canadians. I get 30 days vacation in Australia and my income seems to go much further. 4x4's are everywhere because people just head off up the coast or into the bush and people are always out cycling, running or walking all times of the year. Nothing like driving along miles and miles of beach with not a soul in sight. Australians work life balance in my experience is better than Canada (I have lived for years in both places - I've never been so relaxed and enjoying my life as much as I do in Australia).

Welcome to Malaysia everyone! Thought of giving some tips to all foreign travellers here: 1. Malaysia is a very welcoming nation - don’t hesitate to come! English is widely spoken in the country esp in big cities and Malaysian are very friendly people. You will notice people will adore you as a tourist and don’t be shocked if they even try to take pictures with you as if you’re a celebrity! Be prepared - dress to kill (joking! Pls only wear light clothes here, its humid) 2. There is only one season in Malaysia which is summer so you are more than welcome to come anytime of the year. Just be mindful that certain parts of the country experience monsoon especially along East Coast and during this period of time - travel to island, sea related activities cant be done during monsoon due to safety. But there is always islands in other parts of Malaysia, so you can still come! 3. Be mindful if you are visiting Malaysia during school holiday or festive season (Eid, Chinese New Year, Deepavali) as it will be jam packed in hotels, roads and shopping malls. Booked early all your flights, transit, hotel etc. Price can be triple double during festive season. Not to forget the amount of cars on the road! Malaysian takes their holiday season very seriously so be prepared. 4. Kuala Lumpur is only a part of Malaysia. Dont spend all your time here - the hidden gem truly lies in the countryside. Island, sea side, small cities will give you a new cultural experience. You’ll be surprised to see we Malaysian living harmoniously regardless of our race, faith and religion. Food is a big part of us so be prepared for an exhilarating gastronomical experience. Try local food and be mindful too on the level of spiciness here - it can get really spicy or we say “pedas!” 5. If budget is not an issue, hotels in Malaysia are relatively affordable. For a price of a bed in a typical 8 dorm hostel in central London - you will get a good king size room in a 4 star hotel in Malaysia. Plus buffet breakfast (you’ll be surprised how Malaysian do their buffet here). If you wanna splurge, 150 to 200 euros per night will give you a luxurious one night stay in a 5 star hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Big hotel chains are here and try to find good deals esp those with packages (often found in hotel’s app). If you’re lucky you will get breakfast, dinner and spa in a package for a deal. Boutique hotel is also a good options if you like to try something different and luxurious. Theres plenty of options in big city. 6. Like other major city in the world - beware and be mindful of your belongings. Malaysia is a safe country generally but use your common sense and be street smart. Always be vigilant and keep your valuables safe. 7. Lastly, (most) Malaysians are very friendly. Just ask for help if you need anything. Most Malaysian will be more than happy to help. A lot of us are very skilful in taking good pictures for social media - use them! Just ask if you’re unsure. English is not widely written on signage/ boards etc in certain parts of the country so it can be confusing at times. Your Grab driver can answer all your questions too - just ask! Hope all of you enjoy your stay here! Everyone are more than welcome to enjoy Malaysian Hospitality 🇲🇾 Selamat Datang.

It’s simple: Local products at local supermarkets are affordable at local level prices. Western products at the premium supermarkets like BIG, Village Grocer and Jaya Grocer are at high prices, as most are imported from Auatralia / New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and Europe. Back in Europe I paid about € 2 for an Italian good quality ricotta, here that same tub will cost me Rm 65, which is a whopping € 13. And be careful in comparing eating outdoor in food courts and streetfood stalls, it’s notmade with good quality ingredients, the meat is often offal and the oil being used is old. Every now and then ok, but not on a daily basis. Welcome to KL btw.
