  • Today was our first day in Osaka and as usual we went to a bunch of different places of interest to try and get the lay of the land. We visited the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, the Kyoto Railway Museum and the Nijo castle. Enjoy.

That Japanese Garden was stunning. It is nice that you were able to capture the Egret or Crane in the water and flying away.

So Japanese with those gowns and slippers. The best time of the morning for me too, reading my bible before getting out of my bed. I need it to face my day. Nice walk out there amongst the bamboo trees. Wow cheap the chicken schnitzel $3 ??? wow. Hot chicken out of a vending machine ???. Seems hot out there, still very cool here in Oz. Love the background music. Wow that’s a lot of steps, just leaving home to do mine. Thanks for sharing ❤

Very cool. Looks like you're staying at the same spot my folks stayed at when they visited me. I don't know what you guys are interested in, but my friends and I sometimes go over to 園山大弓場 or "enzan daikyujyo". It's a little archery place. Pay about $15 or so and the sensei there will teach you how to shoot a traditional bow and arrows. If you do well you'll get your name on the wall. I don't know if you speak any Japanese, his English is a little iffy, but it's really fun, and it's in a nice quiet spot of Gion right next to the gardens, so if you're in Gion you can kind of slip away from the crowd, go to the gardens and shoot some arrows lol.
I hope you guys have a good time here. Funaoka Onsen is also our local onsen that's wonderful and doesn't mind about foreigners or tattoos or anything, and the restaurant right down the street called さらさ西陣 or Sarasa Nishijin is built in the old renovated bathhouse that used to be there. Safe travels!
    Loved the video also.

Konnichiwa David n Sarah. Japan probably is the vending machine capital in the 🌍 I wonder if there’s such thing in the Guinness World with 🇯🇵 the most vending machines 😂?
