couple of days ago I calculated that Br4 grade armor of SiC panels is 300 grams per square decimeter. It means that 75kg 175cm man can be armored besides legs and arms and this armor will weight 22kg. also counted Br2 UHMPE pressed panel (like Level 3) and full body with limbs can be covered by 9kg of it. Progress in armor is quite rapid.

I browsed internet sites where fiberglass panels for security rooms showed. There was grades of protection and thicknesses written. So I calculated that fiberglass panels are almost equal to armor steel by weight. but we don't know exact properties and what this panels consists of. It can be E-glass and polyester resin (which is cheap) or some other resin (epoxy is stronger than polyester resin) with additives which increase impact toughness twice (Fortegra resin).

@@alexbeau348 the biggest problem I’ve had with armor steel is finding or fitting it to shape without having waste. I can make virtually any shape and or size of fiberglass in the garage. Curves, corners and odd shapes (I.e. fitting pieces in door panels) is much easier with fiberglass.

I suppose volvo double glass windows with 1cm lexan can hold 380. And its only for side windows which are tempered glass. Windscreen is usual glass whereas temeperd glass is about 5 times stronger and armor glass can be 7 times stronger but doesn't make mesh when hit. Am I right?

A couple of observations...I prefer to chronological ANY factory ammo I shoot for hunting or otherwise. It's just better to have more data than less. Couple that with the advent of high BC projectiles and range finding options and we can literally remove elevation from the accuracy equation. Also and I think someone mentioned it...that shooting platform probably effected your accuracy a bit as did a little bit of inconsistency with your trigger hand grip. Hell, our heartbeat can effect our accuracy as much as an 1/8th of an MOA or more. Great stuff. Keep it up!
