This is awesome and one of the best videos I have seen about this. Does this work for images and videos? If I am using my iPhone as camera and screen mirroring to my MacBook. Can I still use other apps on my MacBook?

It’s because they were extremely dishonest about Apple Intelligence

Also, I know that if I’m using an Apple app that it is reliable and will be around for a long time without any worries that it’s going to be discontinued. I love Apple and it’s reliability, and the flawless syncing between my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. In 10 years I’ve never had a crash or a glitch.

I don’t want to badmouth Microsoft because I used OneNote for many years because I liked its book, chapter, pages format, however, I want to get away from Microsoft for the simple reason that I know when they decide to stop a product, they just do, and then I’m left with 20 orphaned books that I’ve spent 10 years creating with chapters and pages. So I migrated to Apple 10 years ago and wanted an apple app for my Notes and I have watched dozens of TH-cam videos now to learn how to achieve the same goals that I had with OneNote. So thanks to Chris Cardoso in the video above for presenting about everything you can do with Notes on iPad, especially folders and subfolders. They are essentially the books and chapters from OneNote. Thanks.

I’m on iOS 18.2 and very disappointed with what’s on offer. I was super excited for this after seeing how good go on for Gemini looked but I’ve found Apple intelligence to be pretty bad. Even with my account integrated with my gpt 4 account. Apple intelligence seems to know nothing at all and at most will just send my message to chat gpt which works out slower than just opening the chat gpt app. On top of this normal tasks I did with Siri like setting alarms are now noticeably slower. Really disappointing that everything you have said in this video still rings true for me. Very underwhelmed

Appreciate the tips! The fact that they took away the total photo/video file count right there under your “all” folder is really annoying... to find it now, tap your iCloud pfp in the top right corner, there it will show your total file count.

Thank you! When you backup the photos library to a HD or NAS does it just backup the local smaller optimised photos in the library or the full originals from iCloud?

If I add a todo item on calendar and I don´t finish it is anyhow to keep repeating erveryday on calendar this until I finish the task ?

I am amazed you do not recommend getting rid of Apple out of our lives completely and go to some user experience that does not constantly mess( polite choice of verb) wiht our phone and our stuff. my photos are my work and THIS IS ENOUGH TO MAKE ME CHUCk this thing in the bin. Hi Chris. I have a really special problem. Some photos are moved to pinned collection - Map. And I´m only able to see them there, not in main gallery, just in map collection, and try to find them by location. It was always photos with some kind of numbers, or qr code or something like that. I can´t find answer anywhere... and a googled a lot ...

You assume I know what a pinned collection is. I don’t, don’t have any. Another Apple lover who has little talent for teaching. Especially, a difficult app.

Is it possible to allow reminders to sync from Apple Calendar? It would be extremely helpful to have my Apple Calendar automatically update with my schoolwork from Schoology (which it does already) to then create reminders with the same name and due dates from the calendar. Any help would be appreciated!

I think you kind of jumped the gun here - iOS 18.2 has ChatGPT integration, as does macOS 15.2. But I forgive you. ;)

Thank you for the video Sorry I wasn’t clear w my question that I had asked earlier ; when you had showed us how to make the iOS 18 photos app “closer” to the iOS 17 version, you checked the boxes of the sections you wanted to remove to “simplify “ the new version ,,so by revert back I meant can you put back those sections that you removed (on the iOS 18. ) in other words can you add those sections back even after you removed them ,,Can you do that? Thanks! (I haven’t updated yet and it sounds terrible! )

I can't get excited about Apple Intelligence. It's just not useful to me. Period. WRITING TOOLS Rewrite robs me of my "voice," my unique style of expression. People who know me know how I sound. I don't sound like an AI. NOTIFICATION SUMMARIES As you said, it can often get things wrong. The only thing worse than not having an AI assistant is having one you can't trust. PHOTO CLEANUP Pure gimmickry. Total dishonesty. Doctoring photos is not my idea of showing what actually transpired during a photo shoot. If you're going to add or remove elements in a photo, why not go all away and create false photos in Photoshop? Add in a background of Tibet where you've never been and you can tell everyone about your adventures in Tibet. IMAGE PLAYGROUND Generated images often get things wrong, too. This is too gimmicky. GENMOJI I won't even bother repeating myself here. CHATGPT I can already run this on my iPhone 15. So what?

You know why it's bad, coz they don't enough data to train their AI. Apple doesn't keep user data that much.

Samsung came out in the beginning of 2024 with AI features on the S24-series (all available at launch), and Apple couldn't even catch-up towards the end of the year. Galaxy S25 series next month will absolutely annihilate Apple's software lol.

I agree with your analysis of Apple Intelligence as it is today, however, we are only 2-5 days away from iOS 18.2 and there are a lot of improvements with AI. Plus, we will have a peak at 18.3 beta likely around the same time.

The repeating tasks on iOS is a little more clunky compared to others. I always get drawn back to THings though as its just so darn beautiful. This is coming from a Windows a Linux user using an iPhone!

no, this is the best. In the Calendar app, you can create a reminder by tapping the plus (+) button or touching and holding the date or time of day. Then, tap the Reminder tab.

Would be nice to allow to create a calendar event with reminder actions instead of having to create them individually. For example party on Saturday is event reminder to pick up supplies for party is a reminder-would be nice to create both at once and also linked together.
