Tell me about it haha! To be fair I’ve used the set up a couple of times now and I put all the heavy stuff in the saddle bags which are directly under me and light stuff in the 40l bag up high. It’s quite sturdy

I’d love to come back this year but I can’t I hate to say. Personally I’ve always been a lover of watching it on TV but after falling in love with the island I’m making plans to come for the 2025 TT!

No, I have an after market exhaust and it’s low down. I’ve used a carbon cover to fill the gap where the old exhaust went. This set up won’t work with the stock exhaust I hate to say unless you put some measures in place to make sure the bags are well sticking out and away from the exhaust

Look for a local monkey page… if there isn’t one then start one and make friends that way

@@conniewaite1371 go out there and have an amazing time! Honestly you don’t have to wait for anybody. I go on loads of solo adventures but only recently started TH-cam so there’s no record on here. Once you go on one adventure by yourself you’ll realise it’s not so scary, learn to enjoy your own company. Book a camp site so you know your safe then slowly start branching out! You got this 👌🏻🏕️

Aye up lad, really appreciate you taking the time to comment. However I think you need to do a bit of research as well. Check out the below video by the lads at @smallboreandmore. They’re doing some cracking work on these bikes and actually they put the stock monkey on a dyno and modelled its performance and it had discrepancies and wasn’t working as well as it could. Honda have made these bikes affordable and that has meant putting basic (basic doesn’t mean bad, they’re still quality parts) on these bikes. @@Topboy_Jonny As I said you’ve been taken in. Never mind experience will help. If you really want to ride at 80mph don’t buy high octane fuel buy a bike that’s up to it. A Monkey is a charming little bike but at the end of the day it is what it is.

@@davidmatthews3093 the proof is right there in that link… I’ve been taken in by nothing but I appreciate your opinions. It’s never been about getting to 80mph, however pushing small bikes to their limits and being amazed at how they keep surprising you is part of the fun 🍌🏍️💨🙏🏼

This is the perfect first motorcycle my friend! Have you checked out my other videos. I highly recommend my most recent “planet of the monkeys 3: chapter 2” we’ve got a fantastic community and we have some right adventures on these bikes. I’ve a ducati too and this monkey gets more miles and gives more smiles. If you’re in the UK book yourself a CBT, it’s approx £90 and it’s basically a day out learning to ride bikes. If you don’t like it then fair enough but motorcycle are the ultimate experience. Especially these monkeys! I love it

@@Badboyrich1982 the face camera set up is use is as follows: Ridetech chin mount Insta one RS with mic adaptor Purple panda microphone that I’ve wired up by running the wire under the padding in my helmet. The mic is about cheek height and has a dead cat on it.

Check Facebook market place, there’s always something that comes up.

It depends on your exhaust setup. You’re going to struggle with this kind of saddle bag set up unless you’ve got a low exhaust like mine. But to be fair it’s worth trying as the exhaust has a shield on it, just make sure the hot fumes don’t hit the bags. Just remember to secure the straps so there’s no way they’ll dangle as if they caught in a wheel who knows what’ll happen.

The 40L bag is a generic water proof motorcycle bag off Amazon, there’s loads of them but the brand name just changes as they’re all made in china. Just seen your other comment and I’ve had a look at the trex rack and it still doesn’t look to have the correct braces that I would expect. Adding this threaded rod really did nail the job

Yeah, finding a good rack is quite hard in the UK we’ve slim pickings. The rack itself is not strong at all, check out my other video where I add some serious strength to the rack for less than £6. Basically using metal pipe clips and threaded rod. You definitely have to get used to the additional weight on the bike.

Yeah sure, I got these guards from pyramidmoto.co.uk/products/pyramid-handguards-matte-black-honda-monkey-125-2018 They have a shipping calculator on their website too. The stock mirrors are a real problem with this bike, I bought some aftermarket mirrors that stretch outwards more. I can’t find a link to the ones I’ve got but just Google them, loads of options.

I got these off Facebook marketplace but Google ‘xingqixia top box’. I’m certain you can get it on Temu. The rack was alright don’t get me wrong but I wanted something stronger, check out my newer video about adding strength to the rack

think it’ll make me do a wheely haha? In all honesty it’s not going to be 30+Kg I’ve packed my bags up and it’s coming in at 15kg. A lot of the weight limits are to do with the strength of the rack, as you can see it held all 80kg of me.
