I was six or five years old when it happened but I have no memory of it strangely. I remember learning what it was at school, I think I was 11 or 12, simply because my history teacher mentioned it and I remember putting my hand up and asking "what's 9/11?" He then would tell me to ask my parents about it when I got home. I'm from the UK.

CNN , msnbc , and their affiliates are a joke. This is evidence of how out of touch you are with regular people. Two well respected democrat politicians LEFT your party. Left leaning Joe Rogan and Elon Musk after much consideration also left. The writing was on the wall.

In a way, those of you who came after 9/11 were hurt by it In ways that you don't understand. The country, and to some degree the world, has never been the same since. There is so much untreated trauma. 9/11 led to 2 wars, at least one of which was accepted by the American people based on lies from President Bush/VP Cheney, and a major uptick in racism/xenophobia/religious division. The long wars were followed by a Great Recession with major corruption from the banking institutions and mortgage industry. That led to Obama's election, which led to the tea party rebels, threats to secede, the Birther Movement - and a pledge from the GOP to obstruct every single thing during Obama's tenure even if it was their idea. Then we elected the King of the Birthers as our next president, only to enter total crazy town when the pandemic hit. It's just been one major insult after another in your lifetime. Absurdity keeps escalating with all of this trauma-related reactivity and toxic propaganda/division disguised as "news". Talk to Gen Xers like me. The country/world/reality doesn't have to be like this. We could get back to some of the best of us if young people understood what was, is and could be again.

Do your research and you'll find out exactly who was responsible for bringing those towers down. We were fed a bunch of BS!!!! EDIT: Be warned, if you choose to look at the evidence that proves what we were told is hogwash, once you see the truth, you can never unsee it. People will tell me I have lost my mind, but that's only because those people have never looked at the evidence.

I was a junior in highschool (so not too much younger than these ladies) when this happened. I walked into my first class and everyone was huddled around the TV, since we were two hours behind NY it was happening right at that time so I saw a lot of it live. My mom came and got me from school about an hour later because she was evacuated from her job since she worked downtown in a skyscraper, not even a government building just a tall one. I still cry every time i see any footage of 9/11 and I am someone who doesn't cry, like ever. It was just a very visceral experience that still resonates today. My mom ended up grabbing just about every VHS we had and started recording all the news footage from that day. I wonder if she still has them...

America is a very big place so other parts of the country may have known more of this. But for me, I did not know before that Islam insist that the largest building in every town, and there for in every nation must be a mosque or be topped with a mosque. I think nearly all Americans did not know this. It was not a slight. It was an unknown. We sure damn know it now though. We sure damn know a lot now. This planet of humans plays for keeps.

Thank you for your response! I do not call this a cover song. It is an experience and stands on its own merit. Cover or not, Doesnt matter i. It is its own power and emotion. If you don't get chills, or emotional or tears then there is something seriously wrong with you. He goes from a voice that rocks you gently like Angel wings fluttering and then growls that is so intense it grabs your soul. We are 77 and 80. Tears and goosebumps each time we listen. David Draiman possesses an impressive vocal range that spans over three octaves, ranging from a low of E2 to a high of C6. Amazing

I was in the bld the day prior to run an errand for the company I was working for. They were HUGE - ONE entire NYC block square. The next day I was up esp early to wait to give a friend some stuff - she called and said the bridge was closed. No one in certain areas KNEW what was going on. - TV or Radio and "plane hit the towers" - and I could NOT figure out how anyone could miss them. Being so HUGE!!! - The outside to watch the first tower collaspe- people jumping or falling and the 2nd plane it. - Called my mom back on the West Coast and said America is under a TERRORIST attack. - Gotta Go! So many trapped inside - a horrific choice to burn alive or jump. NYPD/NYFD and others never to return (I lived around the corner from both)

I hadn't seen you for awhile. And as soon as I saw you I said "There's my sweetheart!" What I absolutely loved and played about a million times was your reaction to Abbott and Costello's Who's On First. Not everyone gets it but you totally got it! All of it! So... I don't know, maybe most of your reactions were to some songs I wasn't so crazy for. Just for the record, I love pop songs and funky soul songs of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Anyway, Nostalgic sensation just came up and...!!! OK, I'll play this! .....oh...gosh. This video of yours is over a year ago! Darn! Wish I wasn't so late. Anyway... Well, I'll just say I had tears along with you. Wow. I gotta add... I've never given much thought about Africa before. Of course it's a great country in many ways but... I gotta say, wow, there's something special about Nigeria going on. Whatever it is, I sure hope you hold onto it and that it grows. I guess that's one of the best things I can say after watching this video...with you. So many people are making such wonderful videos coming out of Nigeria. Those are my two countries for reaction videos: America, and Nigeria. So keep that Nigerian flag waving. Oh! You know Thomas Sowell! Great guy. OK, catch ya later! By the way, seems a funny thing to mention now, but I'm a white American. I suppose...sometines skin color gives some perspective but it is humankind that is important of course. [Oh, you reacted to Stayin' Alive, The Thrill is Gone, Thriller...OK, I've got some videos to play.....oh...you need to make more videos! Keep them coming!]

World War I, World War II, the Civil War, the Revolutionary War, the Spanish American War, the wars that were held centuries ago in ancient times ALL happened before I was born in 1947, and I was taught about ALL of these in elementary and high school. The school system was GREAT in the '50s and '60s where I lived. It is disgusting that our young people today are not being taught these things in the schools. I am ashamed of how our school system is failing our kids in history, geography and civics.

this is the most sanitized video I have ever seen. The government and the media has erased the truth of the depth of horror of that day. The people leaping to their deaths, the people staggering out bloody and shocked. If you can find a DVD of the French brothers (Naudet) who were with the Fire Dept when it happened, that shows some of the horror.

The 9/11 24hr TV news tickers (news update threads scrolling along the bottom of the TV screens) were the originator of American TV binge-watching. Once we turned on the TV and watched, there was no getting up from it, we sat, and sat, and sat watching in horror and mustering all the hope for human survival possible - as we saw the death and devastation build. New stations played the videos over and over again, while the news tickers scrolled along the bottom of our screens, every so often adding news updates in real time. Absolutely devastating - you should follow suggestions of other commenters and watch the footage of the "jumpers", EMT reactions, hear the firefighter suits "chirping", and the fear and confusion on the streets of NYC. RIP to the dead, and condolences to all affected. :(

The video that you put together was ehhh. it barely scrapes the suface of what happened that day. There are so many Good videos on youtube that will give you a better idea of that experience. there a a lot of videos from peoople who survived, from family members of those that didn't suvive, audio tapes of those that didn't survive. there are facts about how many people died that day. But you probably don't realize that people are still dying to this day because of those attacks. when those towers collapsed the released tremendous amounts of asbestos, concrete dust, etc into the air. rescuers, emts, police, etc just didn't have the proper PPE and breathed it all in. they are slowly and painfully dying of respitory diseases, cancers, etc. The idea that you want to learn about and teach others your age about 9/11 is great. Just make sure you don't hit the highlights make sure you get all of the ugly parts too. like how many thousands of men & women died in the war against Terror looking Bin ladin innocent children as well. it's much deeper than just the towers being attacked, the pentagon being attacked, and a plane eing thwarted from it's mission.

The sound of bodies hitting the ground from throwing themselves out of the building will forever be burned into my memory. The calls from the airplanes from people calling their families for the last time is gut wrenching 💔 and the rescue dogs were getting depressed bc they couldn't save all the people they were finding.

As an American Millennial this was my entrance into adulthood. I had just graduated high school and turned 18, and it felt like the world as everyone knew it turned upside down and never really went back. My hope for the younger generations is that you will see and learn of the heroism and compassion that came out of these events, and the lessons of what dehumanization makes us do to one another, so you will nurture empathy in your hearts and make the world better. ❤️

I’ll never forget that day. One of my fellow office workers announced that a plane had hit the WTC. I thought it had maybe been a small, private plane or an accident. Then, when the second plane hit, we all knew things were going down and we had a hard time working for the rest of the day. Most of us were glued to the tv watching the events unfold. There was a feeling of foreboding. What was going to happen? Were we going to war? Would there be more attacks? Everyday life changed forever that day.

The city wasn't sure if ;other large cities were next. The buses , trains and streets were PACKED. It took me forever to get home that day. Scary times.
