Authentic NYPD Federal signal halogen premium vision lightbar. Dates on inside boards point to 2004 manufacture, which would make it rare one to have since the city stopped selling surplus post 9/11. Model number V7P44SS-LED-NYR which decodes to,

This is a very great light bar. I have the Las Vegas metropolitan police version. It has their property tag on it. It’s a great bar

These lights were in service with alot of police departments in the early 2000s. I know the Pa state police used them as did the CHP and Pittsburgh police.

Actually, PSP started using these in the very early 90’s when they switched to Crown Vics. Now, they use those seizure inducing LED’s on those ugly green SUV’s.

Are the slide switch modes 2 and 3 reversed in this bar? Every NYPD Vision I've used is the opposite, but this bar predates me.

This is pretty much the standard rmp set up since maybe 1994. Even the new slrs are set up with the same flash patterns in modes 1,2 and 3

@@dnice123 I know that. What I’m saying is that the center-out pattern has been on slide switch position 2, and the s/m/f/osc pattern has been on side switch position 3 on every Vision bar I’ve used in NYPD vehicles.

@@dnice123 maybe it’s reversed in the SLR bars, then. The ones I use currently are the same slide one (flashers), center-out standard speed rotate on slide 2, and s/m/f/osc on slide 3 for every SLR bar I’ve used.

Does this have the option of changing flash patterns in position 3 via the manual button when the siren is on?

Although the bar is capable of switching patterns in mode 3 while the siren is activated by manual button/horn ring, it is disabled in this programming. I'm using an authentic nypd brain and controller, and the programming is locked out due to a jumper circuit being cut on the brain circuit board.
