Dutch reminds me of Charles Manson. There really isn't any complexity to him. Every single action he takes and word he speaks can be explained by the fact that he is a delusional narcissistic psychopath who is good at manipulating vulnerable people. No more, no less. He was never good, and nothing ever turned him bad. Just pure psychotic evil.

I think one of the best connections is uncle being red Harlow in the game if you sit by one of the camps that spawn in the wild and red dead one you can hear someone tell a story of red Harlow and when you get up John, will say I know an old drunk that would love that story

A barely noticed thing with Micah is when the two of you annihilate Strawberry. Either because he wants you to take the fall or he’s just a fucking idiot, he keeps shouting your full name. Whilst we kill all the lawman, there’s a whole lot of townsfolk who are hearing “Arthur Morgan!” Every five seconds. Compare this to other gang members who call him by his last name or his first name when no one can hear or you know they call him Tacitus Kilgore, Fenton, Arthur Callahan, My boy or English.

the biggest problem with the epilogue is the way they made john look to fit all the player animations. i dont wanna play as arthur marston. like he even has arthur’s hair be so fr

Honestly, I think Dutch is probably one of the best antagonist you can write. He sparks many debate about his nature as the leader of the gang. We never get to peer into his inner workings/mind which is why Dutch is so mysterious. They wrote such a deceptive character. One thing I'm sure of is that he did care about his community at multiple point in the story. What happened is that he prioritized his ego and the outlaw lifestyle over the care he had for his gang.

Anyone who didn't like the epilogue never played the first 2 game. And all they know about the red dead series is rdr2. The epilogue is a love letter to all the original fans who were gutted after what happened to John.

I feel like low honor, helping John is the most canonical ending. Why the hell would Micah just walk away at the end? Especially if Arthur is such a well loved and honorable dude, it would only make Micah jealous and want to kill him even more

I think RS gave us a hint with RDR3 being the time off dutch killing colms brother and then colm killing Annabelle. 2 people we know nothing about but 2 people who had a major impact on both

Im so angry that one dude spoiled me the ending of the game in the comments just after PC release (before which i avoided spoilers at all costs). So I kinda missed a big chunk of the plot.

Fact that I wasn’t ready for this. I played those last two missions and cried through both of them. I wasn’t ready, fact that I had to go back to Arthur, and finish everything with him..

The epilogue story is solid I just wish there was more to do as John. It feels empty unless you specifically leave stuff for John to do by avoiding them as Arthur
