    Lemme just summarise: 1) Lows - Tori 2) Mid Belts - Tori 3) Upper Belts / Mix - Ari 4) Head Voice - Ari 5) Falesetto/Whistle - Tie (Ari has the edge her use is more extensive) 6) Enunciation - Tori 7) Tone - Subjective (For Me the Angelic Quality of Tori takes the cake!) 8) Musicality & Complexity in Runs - Tori 9) Precision & Accuracy in Runs - Tori 10) Transitions - Tie (Tori has the edge) 11) Ease - Tie (On their respective areas of agility & upper belts) 12) Improvement over years - Seriously the 2 most improved singers I've noticed over the years!! Again a TIE!! Overall - I think Tori wins coz Ari mostly has her in the ipper Belts and that Too Tori ain't Very Far Off...So, Yeah.

  • @vanshmishra7119
    @vanshmishra7119 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

    It's clear that Ari wins the Upper Belts while Tori takes the Lows. Apart from Tone (subjective) from agility to musicality to spontaneity & effortlessness (throughout the range) Tori clearly takes her out!! They both have been working on themselves...Ari is becoming a well developed singer while Tori is becoming better at the Upper Belts recently hitting F#5 s like nothing with much support than before!! So, Overall I'd say Tori but they are 2 of the best in Pop right now!!

      Whitney is not squeezing anything in this video. She is using a lighter, edge coordination for her upper belts, unlike Mariah who stays on neutral mode all her range. That is the difference between a developed chest voice and and okay+good tone chest (Mariah). Mariah’s voice is beautiful don’t get me wrong but she had valvalsa issues throughout her upper range.

    Even though Taeyeon and Wendy have a similar supported range, I find that Taeyeon’s resonance and support is so much deeper and stronger, especially from A4-D5. Actually I’d say that Taeyeon actually produces larger resonance in that mid-belt range than Luna as well.

    But Celine can't go as low or high like Mariah does. Depression of the Larynx and elongation of the vocal tract like she does is proper technique. Mariah not a good better? She doesn't like belting, she finds it boring, she is a dynamic singer when she leans hard on her upper belt in songs like Without you, We belong together, I stay in love you can see her stamina and control because she is not just belting, she is interpreting with her sheer tone which is really hard to achieve. You have some concepts mixed up or plain wrong. Do some research before applying those terms on professional singers.Mimis voice is unbelievable shr has Whitne6s dark velvety tone and as se ascends through her 5 octaves range it becomes bright. One thing that always put Mariah ahead of her peers is that she writes and produces all of her music, she has been inducted in the Songwriters Hall of fame making her a more complete artist.

    My opinions: They are not equal, though they all excel in different things. Let's give range and versatility to Mariah, congratulations. Whistling. Congrats. Outside of singing and voice, let's give her song writing and producing as well. Congratulations. Let's give stamina and ability to hold power notes the longest, and having longevity for really valuing and taking care of her voice to Celine. Congratulations. Power to Whitney, sure. But that’s the least of it. Additionally, the ability to infuse a lyric with emotion, clarity of phrasing, her tone is pure, rich, velvety, supple, and tender (best a cappella), the best head voice, the best vibrato. Her voice had gravity, and the discipline to know when to hold back, that's ALL WHITNEY. In terms of style, Whitney was the most authentic, straight-forward, soulful, vibrant, robust and regal. Mariah had to flit, flirt, and fidget and whistle to hold your attention because she knew her voice didn't have enough weight to sing it direct. Compare Mariah’s best live performance: “Vision of Love” to Adele’s star making brit performance of “Someone Like You” and you’ll see what I’m talking about (there are things in Adele’s tonal quality and shading, again, gravity and emotive ability that Mariah can’t do, but Whitney can). Celine didn't have Whitney's phrasing either. Her choices are mawkish (look it up), schmaltzy, and inauthentic by comparison (Barbra's kinda like that too). Lot's people don't feel Celine like they feel Whitney. I sometimes wonder if Celine is really feeling what she's singing or is she just pretending to? (eg. It's all coming back to me now). And here's where Whitney show's her gospel roots: she knows to connect to the songs she sings. This is why she delivers the best live performances (MTV: Why does it hurt so bad, Didn’t we almost have it all 1987, etc). In terms of tone, Mariah can sound flirty, warm, feathery, heavenly and airy, like a goddess. Celine can sound crystalline, steely, and majestic like an ice-berg or some awe-inspiring landscape. But Whitney just sounds like the most beautiful woman with a heart and soul and will forever be the most magnificent leading lady with ravishing emotions (I Have Nothing). The flesh and blood queen. Both powerful and tender. The greatest diva who ever lived. And Outside of singing, imagine if Whitney had no voice. She still had enough beauty, talent, appeal, and charisma to be an A-list movie star, which she was. She was the biggest movie star in Hollywood when the Bodyguard came out. For her movie career, she was the highest paid Black actress in Hollywood. She made the biggest cultural impact during her heyday. The bodyguard movie and soundtrack captured the zeitgeist when it came out, hence it being the greatest selling album by a female, in the world, in all of music history. The nearest thing to the bodyguard in terms of impact is Adele's 21. Hence: once in a generation. I will always love you got the most views still....and on and on and on. They are not equal.

    All different reasons and all different opinions. To me, for the best lows it will prob be Mariah because it's that tone and I think she stylistically pushes. For mid belts, I'll say Whitney and for high belts(mixed voice!) I would choose Mariah. Whitney's rich ease sounds so good and natural and beautiful at the same time!! And it's just Mariah's tone and ease up there like she just floats up there!! Although I think Mariah is the weakest belter out of the whole trinity😭. Whitney, to me has the best upper register/head voice it's so developed and the way she uses it will always surprise and stun me! For Mariah it's her whistles, and for Whitney it's her head voice. Like her clarity is unmatched! And that ease??? She had the best hv in pop music! I think Mariah had the best falsetto tho. We all know Mariah has the best agility, literally 90% of her musicality is runs and riffs! You could make a whole vid of just her agility and that would be like an hour or longer!! But Mariah's agility is so magical it's unreal and that innormal speed can't be matched!! Whitney had the biggest voice of the whole trinity so it would def be harder for her than Celine and Mariah, but Whitney was more of a riffer soul singer. So that wasn't like in her music style. But to be honest they are all amazing and untouched. I feel like Mariah is the best studio singer and Whitney the best live singer!

Plus Celine sound fuller even compared to Mariah's best moment Technically speaking Mid belt Whitney=>Celine>>Mariah Upperbelt Whitney>Celine=Mariah Mix voice (M2) Celine >Whitney=Mariah Celine is the one who has accessible mixed voice As for agility actually Celine takes the cake and Whitney too. Musicality isn't really everything when it comes to agility. Whitney and Celine has done much more complex runs in chest voice/upper belt which is harder than Mariah's, she tend to do riffs and runs in falsetto and whistle or in lighter mechanism

      @@allykelly This is my opinion, so idk why your doing all this. Anyways, not all breathiness means bad or wtv. And yes I’m very aware of Celine having the best lows but I’m not too familiar with her or music or anything so… Mid belts go to Whitney always have, always will! Upper belts, like I said they go to Whitney but mixed voice Mariah! Celine it would be better if she opened her mouth more to make the notes come out more naturally and not like tensed a little. Celine’s agility is nice, but for me Mariah has the best. I mean you rlly can’t compare that. I don’t even need to provide evidence it’s all through her catalog, and live performances! Musicality does have a major part because you have an ear to place the runs and riffs where u want to! Whitney mainly does runs in chest and head voice. Celine I don’t know. Mariah, she uses them in every register and the fluidity and precise and accurate, same with Whitney tho but like it’s just something about Mariah’s speed, ear for her music, she can do like 8 notes in one sec like??

      @@whitneyhouston1122 I'm sure you're not familiar with laryngeal vibratory mechanism. Mariah never had accessible mixed voice (M2) like Celine. "If Celine open her mouth she'd be better " elaborate upper belt isn't Celine main focus but you seems to neglect Celine's best moments F5 up to G5 like in divas live she did good upperbelts there+agility. You're talking about Celine inconsistency in high belts Mariah also have lots of tense belts. Mariah has less live material in agility compared to Celine and Whitney and managed to do quick riffs in high chest voice more difficult that Mariah's runs in falsetto/whistle

    I'd recommend using some visual cues to indicate your opinion about the quality of vocal runs in the agility segment, something similar to what Ain't No Other Fan (YT channel) did in his "Bad vs Good vocal runs" series. That'd be helpful

    Lisa is a Mezzo-Soprano based on her tessitura , just because she can hit high notes doesn’t automatically make her a soprano! Most female singers are not sopranos! A true soprano is very rare!

      @@girlbrittneygirl ??? Prime Lisa was even a high soprano u can barely see prime Lisa doing notes well below G3. Most female singers are not sopranos? Don't be ridiculous
