Can we talk about how he has this gorgeous voice and his acting is- well- there are no words. He makes me cry. Jeremy Jordan is so so so insanely talented
He is such an amazing Broadway tenor!!!
*Easily* the STRONGEST Vocal-crush I've had to date!! 💗💗💗
i love sm his mid belts and his vocal tone is so pretty TT
One of the best male vocalist i know and he is so handsome 😍😍🔥🔥
His quality up to A4 is up there with David Phelps, amazing singer
David Phelps has quality and good technique up to C#5/D5. But definitely close to him.
He is one of the best male Broadway pure belters for sure. He really doesn't have any super weak spots. Btw those D5s and E5s sound free to me. I do tend to prefer legit Broadway singers, but I recognize greatness when I hear it.
I would love to see you cover Natalie Weiss. I don't know what to feel about her, so I feel your take would be interesting.
This man vocals are just so good and so attractive. I lobe the way he sings. When I heard him in some Broadway shows I was hooked. Love this man so much as a singer and actor.
His voice is so beautiful . i love how he balances his mixed voice and that Bb4 , i mean Wow
I love him, but I’ve noticed it’s always the best male belters with unexistent head voice 😭
I mean it's not like he actually needs it. He is a pure Broadway belter. He isn't a legit singer.
As a male belter in training... vocalizing in a pure head voice is HARD.
Classical training for male voices puts so much emphasis on TA activation that it becomes exceedingly hard to let go of some of it to ascend in the upper register. We often end up being more comfortable mixing in the 5th octave than we are using head voice.
Hey, could one of your next vocal battles be Michael Jackson vs Prince vs Luther Vandross? I feel like they are the only group of men that could be as interesting to analyse and compare as the vocal trinity
@@allykelly th-cam.com/video/N9U9A4_cgyI/w-d-xo.html young Michael Jackson. I wasn't as impressed with his adult vocals but he's still one of the best vocalists of all time.
could you do vocal analysis of Gabriel Henrique. He's a brazilian singer, very gospel/r&b based male vocalist.
Who will have the next vocal analysis? Who is in the plans ?
@@allykelly Can’t wait she’s incredible. Could you do Amber Riley or Alex Newell sometime?
@@allykelly Omg yesss! Glad I could provide you some material for her. Her current voice is a WEAPON. She is in her prime now. Insane lows, mids, upper belts, M2, agility, dynamics etc. I could go on. 😁.
I identify so much with his timbre and even the not existent headvoice. I can belt and mix into the stratosphere but if feels like there's no headvoice in between. I'm curious if you generally consider this "Tenor" timbre? I feel that this is more of a Spinto or Dramatic Tenor (2nd tenor) with a high belting range and a big voice, but I call myself a Baritone with range for good measure. I'm still coming to terms with having a loud / belty voice but I wonder if this is a natural thing.
@@allykelly Hmm, okay I'll try singing with less compression and see if I get my headvoice to pop more. My coach complained that my chest voice is so developed that it's getting in the way of headvoice coordination lol, she even told me to only sing in headvoice for a few weeks 😅
5:08 that’s his wife, not him I think. If you listen closely you’ll hear him under.
what is the song in the second B flat?
I love those Bb4s 😭
5:54 Love how you just showed 2 clips of his head voice and be like “that’s enough for today”😂😂😂
5:31 that’s literally not even a light belt. Very metallic and full. Bright =/= mix.
@@burci6186 Raised larynx =/= mix. If you were to put this note under a spectrogram you’d literally see far more activity in his overtones than some of the other notes. His notes underneath are almost all overdrive. Of course it’s gonna be different. But very far from mix or even thin. Ask any teacher.
@@KajiVocals well but his larynx is too high the tone change is too far and his neck shows less veins or effort, it's small and thin
@@burci6186 His laryngeal position there is adequate per the pitch. The big difference you’re also hearing is him having a lowered soft palate there, compared to how he usually keeps it mid or lifted. I assure you that note is more of a full belt than most of the C5-Eb5 clips in this video.
you should do. a video on which male vocalists have the best head voice!
@@allykelly thank you :) also you should included dynamics for these videos, it’d be cool to see how truly skilled these vocalists are! keep up the good work
@@notyourdaddy2148 yeah actually some of these singers aren't dynamic users so I'd rather not include them
@@allykelly i suppose that makes sense. i was just suggesting since you’ve done video analysis for people who are not really agile and still included the agility section, but respect your decision :)
@@notyourdaddy2148 yeah but finding dynamic on certain vocalists is more difficult most of them are just doing glissando (sliding) which is just ornament not actual volume control
Vocal runs are way more common in mainstream unlike dynamic which is more of a classical style
Love Jeremy Jordan! Can you do one for Melissa Benoist?
@@allykelly She was in Glee season 4 plus has done some singing for her show Supergirl and The Flash along with being on Beautiful on Broadway and has done The Concert for America so there are lots of videos
He can go higher then that what about the high note in under pressure in smash

Do you know ailee's supported range?
@@allykelly Is she? I hear valsalva as low as Bb4 for her. Acc I hear valsalva throughout her entire range. I personally wouldn't describe her sound as free at all.
I'm open to being wrong though. Can you name a performance with a free Eb5?
@@nomore9686 her 4th octave an C5 is superior especially on her prime Ailee has distorted vowel shaping and glottal tension on her fifth octave but she was fairly consistent up to E5 on her prime

@@allykelly Oh ok I see what you mean now. I guess I saw her post prime performances more. I'm curious what would you say Ariana's free range to be?
@@nomore9686 Ariana solid/grounded range is
G#3/A3-B4/C5
Her free range is
