Cold Steel SRK San Mai VG-10: Most overlooked variant
Everyone seems surprised and disappointed
My edc for the last 24years has been a charter arms undercover 38special that I inherited from my great grandfather and it was his backup duty weapon for almost 30years before that 😊! It just makes the most sense for me for about 85% of the time. I carry it loaded with remmington 125gr htp +p or 158gr lswc +p most of the time. Had to use it a few times on nuisance animals! Workes every time! Luv the vid😊
Well I'll give you $650 for it
I have two Colt Cobras and a pair of 3" King Cobras, one of of each pair is a dedicated carry with a few hundred each, the mates are range only and have thousands of rounds each... Not a single issue. BTW I paid well under a thousand for each. Recently picked up a pair of Vipers, only a few hundred rounds each with no problems.
I EDC my 2'' Taurus 85 Ultra-lite Titanium hammerless in an uncle Mikes #3 small frame pocket holster. I waist carried for years, but I prefer pocket carry it's just more comfortable, anyway I have had my Taurus for 20 years; it has never failed me, and I have never felt under gunned with it. But for the first time ever, I experienced Bullet creep. I was shooting practice drills with some Sellier and Bellot round nose 158gr ammo, this Junk ammo had poor crimping from the factory. I would fire 2 rounds and by the 3rd round I had bullet creep. locking the cylinder and trigger making the gun useless. I have shot a lot of revolvers, I personally own 6 revolvers, I have heard of bullet creep, but until the other day never experienced it, as rare as this seems to be at least for me. This is why you should always test any ammo you plan on carrying in an EDC. If this would have been a life threating situation, and I needed 3 shots or I would be dead, well I'd be dead.
Mine has been a piece of junk, failure to feed even after multiple times sent back to ruger and parts replaced trying literally anything.
Добър стоманен нож. Ако има версия със шайби, ще си купя.
I own a king cobra 3” has been a perfect gun for me. Sorry you got butt hurt. I cannot find any of the issues that you claim with yours. The only issues I have is availability of sights and grips for my gun.
You're like me when comes to knives 😂 i like not just knives but real knives
You do a great job with your TH-cam videos you got a good sense of humor 😄👍
Thanks bro 👊
Save ypur money and pay a dentist.
That sucks big time. I bought my Ruger SP101 3" back in 2011 & no problems with it, it was even my daily carry for many years.
I carry the ec9s for my edc. Outstanding firearm, accurate, reliable, highly concealable comfortably. Paired with underwood extreme defender ammunition its an amazing self defense firearm. After market trigger removes mag disconnect.....just sayin.....
Had the g2c I hated it. Love my taurus gx4 and my raging hunter. My g2c was reliable but hated the trigger.
Valid 👍
@BROKEBOYTACTICAL-j5e . I'd like to try the g3c out. The trigger feels better on them I saw a few in the gun store today.
I have bought 5 Colts starting in the 80's. Two had similar problems as yours. It seemed there was never a final look over or a test fire before leaving the factory. Given the hit or miss quality, if Colt had some body test fire every gun before it left the factory...that might be a very dangerous job. Maybe the management at colt should have that job. I have had better luck with Taurus
My LCP would be the last gun i would get rid of just because of the fact it is on me till the time i wake up and go to bed. I can hit a paper plate at 15 yards all day long. Anything you practice consistently with you will get good at, and everyone who carries a firearm should be practicing with it. Great video by the way! On a side note another important aspect is the type of defensive bullets you carry to make sure you have consistent expansion, penatration and reliability. I use underwood 68 grain extreme defender in my LCP.
I ALSO prefer the lcp compared to lcp max so much I bought 2 lcp
Used to carry one of these and it was awesome! Still have it to this day. However, I’ve since been carrying a Civivi Incisor II and it’s even faster to deploy and the blade is insanely sharp. Pretty cheap price too. Try it out, it’s a fantastic and practical self defense knife!
Broke boy tactical here. Messaging you from a different TH-cam account because I got locked out of mine 😂😂😂 I've actually been looking at that model of Civivi 👍 do you think that the plunge lock is strong enough? that was my only concern
Hornady 125 grain critical defense 357's are easy in my M&P 340. PPU 158 grain full house hollow points are brutal! Very hot ammo!
This is best quality, and for generations to come...
THANKS....bad and disappointing news but thanks just the same for making an honest review. I was about to get one until I saw this. I got really lucky and later found a classic 1977 Colt Lawman MKIII 2" for $899. It is magnificent. 1970s Colts are magic. Current Colts are a mixed bag at best.
Given the fact the "3" uses Glock sights, try a different size front sight before the file👍
Me personally, I would try to file it down before I would spend more money. If I file it down too much I can always just go buy better sights after the fact. But either way you're right something needs to be done about it 👍
Have several colts, King Cobra, Pythons, and Anaconda. No problems. No issues. They are built by CZ.
One of my favorite beater knives. Great quality knife with a pricetag that allows you to beat it up without guilt, and this thing definitely lets you beat it up.
Alot of good points for sure. I had a first gen lcp and let it go when what you missed came out. The LCP Custom. Its by far better then them all. With extended mag you get 8 plus its still the same as the gen 1
If you live in a dem commie run state that limits capacity, this is a very nice and reliable option.
Hey man, I have the wallet holster for the LCP. I was wondering if you carry one in the chamber while you have that on specifically. I usually carry one in the chamber with the holster that is provided in the box. But I want to have the wallet carry because of the convenience of the trigger being ready for me, but that concerns me because the trigger is open you get me.
I understand your points but when you go small with a 9mm wow the snappiest is a nightmare nightmare
Nice video. I just picked up a G3c and it's performed well so far. Per the origin stamps on the pistol, was the slide made in GA and the polymer frame made in Brazil?
Yes it does. I noticed that about a week after making this video 😂😂😂. Apparently the entire lower including the magazines are still made in Brazil. To my understanding the slides and upper internals are being manufactured in the United States but I didn't get that answer from Taurus so don't quote me on that. I do however know that all of the assembling for most of their firearms are now being done in Bainbridge Georgia which is nice. Maybe we'll get our first 100% American made firearm soon 🤞
Sue❤
Had a GX4 that was awesome. Taurus has came a long way
Not long back I decided to switch to pocket carry since loading up a full size isn’t always the best option for my work more than I’m home lifestyle, the main firearm I aimed to look at was the original LCP and honestly I think I prefer it over the Max. The guy behind the counter let me play around with both the original LCP and the Max, the Max felt good don’t get me wrong but I was trying to buy something that could literally disappear into my pocket and the Max was just a little too much for that. The sights were also something I really didn’t like all that much on the Max, I was more in the boat that if I wanted something for true pocket carry it had to have basically little to no sights and since this is a tiny 380 my range expectations for ever having to use it defensively was basically in bad breath distances. When I carry it I forget 90% of the time I even have it on me and I consider that a success when it comes to pocket carry.
i love this knife,if its 3,5 mm thick would it still be slicy if it properly tapered
Well I guess I'm going to have to delete the carry model from my cart and narrow it down to s&w and Kimber.
There some serious issues with the manufacturing process with these I’ve sold all the colts I bought which were post 2020 python/cobras out of 5 I’ve owned they all had problems except one both pythons I had had to be sent back to factory the first one the frame looked bent which I don’t even know how that’s possible considering the steel these are made out of. the other one that was a new one they sent me for warranty replacement, fucking trigger would lock up on it. The hand that rotates the cylinder wasn’t made right and would press up against the flange of the round impeding the action and putting ding marks on the rim of the 38 casings. And the obscenely long repair wait is totally bs to, yeah and the barrel gap should not be “normal” it’s just laziness because they don’t have to fit the barrel properly, instead of the right way where you’d have to trim the back of the barrel that faces the frame and get it to line up and be tight at the same time, wouldn’t surprise me if they used washers from ace hardware to fit those barrels to get the correct clock/ tightness not to mention the samurai sword sharp forcing cone, these assholes will go out of business soon enough.
My Colt is fine. All companies have issues...
I’ve personally never had good luck with ruger pistols there 10/22s are awesome guns but the handguns have always left me disappointed
Really? That's crazy I've had nothing but excellent luck with Ruger. My SR9, SR40C, my LCP max while not really the best pocket pistol ever designed was still a reliable well built firearm. I've owned several Gen 2 LCPs, the LCP 22LR, 3 1022s including a 1022 charger, a red hawk chambered in 45 Colt and a mint condition never fired security six. The only one of those guns I never fired was the security six and they were all reliable. I don't doubt you though I have heard these stories and somebody has to get the lemons. What was your experience I'd love to hear it?
@@BROKEBOYTACTICAL-j5e my personal issue is the fit and finish my rugers always rusted. Also when I went to the range they weren’t the most reliable I’d get jams. I’ve been carrying a shield long since and never had any of these issues. That’s just me personally tho I had the ruger ec9 and lcp 2 for reference. Maybe some of there stainless guns would be better
@@metalrobot3000 You're absolutely right about their finish it's terrible. That really sucks man I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with them. See I had a bad experience with Taurus and that put a bad taste in my mouth for a while too
@@BROKEBOYTACTICAL-j5e I’ve been tempted to try some of the Taurus revolvers but it’s rough spending 300-500 on a gun that may or may not work I know there budget minded but that’s still a good amount of money for most people yk I can’t imagine some of these people that spend 1000plus to be let down it’s crazy
@@metalrobot3000 I have a whole video about spending $1,000 and being disappointed... My Colt king cobra wasn't abysmal disappointment. I also have a video of my Taurus 856 which is a fantastic little budget revolver go figure 😂😂😂
Like the channel 👍🏻
Thanks bro 👊 I would give it a heart but I just got locked out of my Google account 👍 I'm in contact with TH-cam trying to get access to my channel again but it might be a minute. Thanks for the support bro
Thanks bro 👊
Taurus got new management and moved some operations to America. They've improved qiite a bit.
I've carried a 649 for prob 10 years and I found it good for 90% of my carrying needs.
I have a 649 also, it's a great looking shiny steel gun and it was my first purchase, I also own its lightweight Matte black brother, the
Checked out a new version Colt KC a couple of years ago. The trigger sucked, the reset was terrible, it would give you a false reset. I settled for a Smith 686, no issues what so ever.
Excellent decision 👏 the single action trigger on the colt was absolutely trash. I've never had a single action figure on any revolver have take up let alone the amount of take up that mine had. It was mushy and gritty as well. Considering how light the double action trigger was I was expecting the single action trigger to be lighter than your average single action trigger but on the contrary it was pretty standard. Four to five pounds... Lackluster for the money
The stoeger STR-9MC is just like this one with the way the mags just fall out of the pistol, no spring to it at all and feels weird to me too
Exactly, it just feels weird. It's not like you're going to be dropping a fully loaded magazine on purpose anyways unless there's something wrong with it. And even if there is at least it drops free. The magazines do see properly I can't stress that enough it just had me second-guessing it when I felt that at first
Casio watches are awesome. I always switch out and put mine on before going to the gym. It's 5 years old and beat to hell but still runs great. Still on the same battery, too.
If you got money for a gun you're not really on a budget. A gun has not been an EDC item for the majority of people in the country since 1888 or so.
I really don't know what you want me to say to that. That's just your personal stance on the issue. Your definition of budget is not going to be everyone else's so...Cry about it I guess, I don't know what you want from me 😂😂😂 I guess just ignore it then🤷. There are over 20 million licensed firearm carriers in this country and I'm not going to exclude them because you don't personally feel that a firearm is EDC.
I've got about 250 rounds thru my G2S. It's the single stack version of the G2C. No failures at all, but I can tell it isn't made for hard & continuous use. Not a problem for me. Can't beat it for the price. Thanks for the video
Taurus advertises a 20,000 round lifespan. So far I haven't seen any evidence to contradict that. However I don't think that anybody who can only afford a g3c would be able to afford 20,000 rounds to test that... I certainly can't 😂
@@brokeboytactical4397 lol! Yeah I don't think I'll ever come close to that!
I love it
I once had a Ruger redhawk cut down to 4" and despurred the hammer so that I could carry it easily.
Aren't they excellent?!
Ok I generally skip any vid where the guy uses the word 'tactical' makes me cringe. First my carry is a 340PD and yes it really really kicks especially with the wood secret service grips I put on it but... who cares? The smaller grips and 'hammerless design' makes it hip pocket holster friendly. No one has ever seen it or mentioned they did. Ok.. this point is extremely important to me... ALL J fames shoot the same. meaning they all have fixed sights and they all are very well regulated. meaning? if you have shot one you have shot em all. I have owned a dozen over the years they all shoot to the same point of aim as my .340PD no reason to shoot the 340 except once a year to make sure nothing has changed Muy load is 125 grain Federal HP bought 500 of em years ago. lifetime supply since all my other .357 guns shoot my handloads of 158 grain cast and coated bullets. Sooo your gun. for carry I would bob the hammer and put wood grips on it and get one of the sticky holsters for your hip pocket... might have to ditch the tacticool pants for just regular old levis but...
Casios are crazy good. I once accidentally threw my A158W (silver version of the F91W) in the washer and it survived. Still running with almost perfect accuracy, only losing a second after months at a time. Been over ten years and the battery's still running strong. Some scuba divers will fill their F91Ws with mineral oil to bump up that water resist to just under G-Shock levels. As for a budget pocket knife, I highly recommend the Ontario Rat 2. Very light and flicks open smoothly. Good blade shape too. I EDC'd it when it was still made in AUS8; they're made in D2 now, so I guess that might be a bonus for some. Between $30-40 not on sale. And as for holsters, I have to confess that I cheapen-out. I'm currently using an Azula (about $50-60) but before that I was even more budget and used Houston holsters which are like $10-20 lol. As long as you don't plan on doing flips and hanging upside-down, it should do its job fine, methinks.
Just picked one up!
