Great heavy cruisers. That AI though was terrible in that first battle. That Nebula could won.

The Ambassador Refit is a late 2350s upgrade to the 2330s design. It is only somewhat less powerful than a Nebula Class Starship but it is more maneuverable as seen when during the Battle of Wold 359 USS Yamagouchi pulled a far tighter turn than the Nebula class that was with them rushing to USS Saratogas aid

Figured the nebula would win. The newer tech but also the AI really sucks with certain classes of ships vs others. The Ambassador and Defiant definitely come to mind as mods the computer really sucks at controlling.

Two tough, underappreciated ships going at it!

Excelsior truly got the weakest secondary hull of all starfleet vessels. After the shields are down, almost any torpedo shreds it to pieces or breaks its neck with the first hit.

This is correct. Kvorts are blah. Only good in ambush or in groups. The Klingon fleet in 2365 was a collection of antiques and a few Vorchas. The Kvort was amazing in BOTF though.

The Excelsior did a pretty good job of hiding it's Shield Generator from you for a while there. Nice fight! Too bad the K'Vort didn't get any significant upgrades over the years (at least to my knowledge) like the Excelsior did over time.

By the skin of your photon torpedo, was that close. However, you shudda destroyed their torpedo launchers, 1st.

Had you done that from the other way, the Narendra probably wouldn't have survived. You have the Narendra and Ambassador set to the same specs?

Did you manage to get the old Foundation technologies to work or is the armor on the Sovereign a new implementation?

More Narendra class please. That ship is so beautiful. And the firing arcs for the phasers look really good, too. Even though it doesn’t have a ton of different arrays, it’s always able to get multiple beams on target from any angle.

Why did you lower power to shields to like 20-30%? Its ok for Valdore to be stronger as a newer ship, and this nebula isnt equiped with quantums. Love the beam and disruptor particles though, shields also :) Still though the wings are not like in official valdore models, to flat (and 2ndery necceles dong look like connected to main wings) and it supposed to have 12 disprutor banks (4 heavy cannons on front dont know if any more normal cannons there, and in rear also cannons - dont know if heavy - other's dont know if beams or cannons for side), this one has 0 heavy cannons but only normal cannons so it has vastly inferior firepower and its plasma torps are also somehow weaker then D'deridex'es.

wierd how Enterprise shields are holding well vs D'Deridex fire, in show it was clearly stated that a single disruptor volley (without torps) takes down a shield arc to 30% easy. in here we have multiple volleys and shields are over 50%. Love the dispruptor color and torp animation like in the show. But holy shit Enterprise here is overbuffed to oblivion. in Show it would be insta destroyed in frontal attack by 2 D'deridex'es while klingons would probably just make some dmg to them (or destroy one while self having losses) if they didnt withdraw.

I really like the beam disruptor color, and that Vor'Cha looks really nice. That saucer brake of is epic, that's what most fed ships await in fight. Vor'Cha models looks epic, not gonna lie. But: Wierd though to see an excelsior (not even the lakota type) to have more durable hull with its lack of armor (like all fed ships except defiant and partly sovereign) then an almost fully armored klingon vessel with similar size. Also excelsior shouldnt be near a Vor'Cha power lvl, this ship supposed to have 18 disruptor cannons, 1 beam and 3 torp tubes if i remember correct (maybe more tubes i read somewhere?). It was supposed to be close to a nebula weapon pod version power (so more or less Galaxy class) and trading blows/slightly struggle with an excelsior. Shields - i dont know, but it would seem that to power 18 disruptor cannons and such you would need more power and bigger core for it, so shields should be more or less at least on pair and not this much inferior in total power. To bad we dont have such graphics in Klingon Academy, as that game is more complex and personally i do like it better.

Only lasted that long because it was a juiced up Galaxy.

Love the K’Vort. It was key to winning Birth of the Federation when playing as the Klingons.

Im assuming unlike retrobadger this is just standard star trek bridge commander with no mods? I'm asking only because of curiosity due to how different it is.

I'd have to give it to the Miranda. Those aft torpedoes really make up for lack of durability. But yes, she's much more vulnerable once the shields weaken.

Nice fight, but I see a weapon hardpoint problem. Those big port/starboard/dorsal/ventral phaser cannons are doing nothing.

K'Vort and Negh'var are my fav Klingon ships. Awesome battle!

It's been a long time since I last played, but my favorite tactic was to target the impulse engines - limit the enemy's speed and maneuverability while making it easier to concentrate fire on vulernable shields and priority subsystems.

Both are good ships. The AI doesn’t seem to know how to use the galor type iii though.

Good battle. In the right hands the K'Vort is quite a good cruiser.

Glass Cannon vs. Hull Tank. I love your take on the Miranda. It's such a firestorm of a ship - until it's shields go down. Then she folds like a piece of wet paper. And ofc the Hirogen ships with their monotanium hull - yes. That just takes it and asks for more! Of course in AI hands, the Miranda suffers because the AI is dumb, but that's as expected.

I mean - lambs to the slaughter. But they did do some damage. Especially those Vulcan ships seemed to contribute a lot. I imagine if every single ship of every single 22nd century Alpha and Beta quadrant power was brought in to help, they MIGHT be able to stop the menace. At enormous cost of course. And if you didn't specifically target the Vulcans first - it would've been more interesting. :P

Title should be: "How to out-Klingon a Klingon ship" :) . Great job to the Steamrunner in first battle. Sticking to the Vor'Cha's ass like glue. I take it you extended the range and let them get a few good volleys in later on, just to make the fight less one-sided XD ...of course the AI as usual has no idea how to use a ship like that, so the 2nd battle wasn't a surprise...

I see you finally did the Vor'Cha justice. :) That's a more reasonable outcome of an Excelsior vs one of those.

Tremendous phaser capacity is the hallmark of this ship. The torpedo volley is overwhelming as well. I would not want to be in front of a war galaxy when it opens up with its Arsenal. Whoever is on the receiving end is not going to have a good day. Not that the Jem’hadar even care but even they will be blunted severely by this immense firepower.

23rd century Excelsior outmatched by 24th century Vorcha.
