This is great - even if it took me 2 weeks to get through. On careers - the last bit. Surely AI is pretty much going to make writing SQL and Python really easy. Especially SQL as the only challenge is to check the result is what you intended. Whether that makes it pointless to learn them, or just much easier to reach competence I am not sure (maybe both). Another pov is that yes I get it - Data Engineers earn more than PBI developers within IT. On the other hand I suspect Business managers who can develop their own PBI dashboards (or at least run their own analysis on it) pretty soon earn a lot more as Business managers. So I guess the PBI analyst can take his skills upstream to be an engineer or downstream into operational management.

Hi, a question I have - is Data fabric actually a product sold by Microsoft on Azure, or is it an architecture pattern using Azure data technical capabilties ? I cannot fathom this from the various documents and videos I have watched

I am using Fabric with Pro license version and I dont see an option for Library management in the workspace settings. Should this be enabled somewhere by the admin? is there any alternate way to install great expectations once and reuse that in all the notebooks we will have?

Almost 60-65% of the questions came from your videos and the rest from free exam dumps I found on google as well as Microsoft's training path for this certification. Its not super tough but questions can be tricky sometimes, 70% of the questions I had encountered before , so kindly prepare and give it a go. Thanks again for the great content ✅😊

Thank you Will! I only had enough time to go thru the ms learn course and your video due to time constraints, but i was able to barely pass at 755! You covered around 80 to 90% of the non DAX questions. I got a lot those and came up blank lol. No visualization type question. Time is really tight. I had 25 minutes to answer the last 30 questions. And the questions was like really long. I think this series +dax and sql dive will give a taker a very high chance to pass.

Great videos! Subscribed! Can you please explain following? So let's say we have ADO repo with Dev, Test and main branches. And we've corresponding fabric workspaces (Dev, Test and Prod for main). Now when we promote Dev fabric WS to Test WS via Deployment pipeline, are we not promoting the Dev ADO branch's code to Test WS instead of Test ADO branch's code? And by that logic, eventually the Prod fabric WS will have the Dev branch code instead of main? What am I missing? Appreciate your work!

Thank you for the excellent video. I have a question: Which is preferable in terms of Audit Framework and Watermarking? We encountered update conflicts in the warehouse table when attempting to update audit tables while ingest multiple tables simultaneously, which updates watermark and audit values. To circumvent this issue, we've adopted an insert-only approach for both Audit and Watermark frameworks, which has proven effective. There's also discussion about using a KQL database, but we're uncertain about its complexity.

I must say that this series of training is so much better to understand.

Hi Will, thank you for your tutorials! I have a question regarding Fabric. Can we set limits in Fabric to automatically shut down any operation that reaches the cost limit? I recently heard about a situation in my company where a process was left running over the weekend, resulting in costs of approximately 70,000 Euros on Monday. While there might have been an error, I wonder if implementing a kill-cost limit could have prevented this situation. Any insights on this? Thank you! P.S.: At the end no more Fabric in the company 😞

On question 3 the USERNAME() is also a right answer. When you publish the model to PBI Service this informational function also returns the user principal email, though when used locally on PBI Desktop it returns the DOMAIN/USERNAME.

Incremental refresh is available for Power BI Semantic Models using PRO licenses. The only feature that you do need premium is the hybrid table functionality that combines import and direct query in the same table using custom partitioning. Only Incremental Refreshes for Dataflows Gen1 are exclusive to PPU licenses.
