Over the last few days, I’ve researched Carnival ships, and have come back with a very negative feeling regarding them in general. I’m hoping this ship is different and hopefully not as rowdy as all of the videos I have been seeing. If anybody has any opinions, they are welcomed.

I did a solo travel on the Norwegian Joy in a balcony one time. I paid 50%more for the 'second' half of the fare while Norwegian took 50% less for that 'second' half. I thought that was very fair deal for me and Norwegian.

Hello, I'm curious is Princess considered a family cruise line or a couples adult line primarily? We have never cruised Princess but have cruised NCL , Carnival and most recently Celebrity as we have a cruise to Panama and the southern Caribbean for 11 nights in a Aqua class sky suite booked for March 2026. I took a solo cruise on the Ruby Princess and I loved it. The Ruby Princess is a wonderful ship and I have cruised on this ship 3 times. My daughter had a great time. The only thing I don’t like is the cruise line trying to up charge everything. Otherwise, great food and fun.

as a claustrophobe, I would lose my my mind in this cabin. I wish I could do it though.

How did you get to the port in Manhattan?? I have the option to drive but I heard it’s not the best option

Just went on this cruise a couple of weeks ago. It was my first cruise ever. I would say it was better than expected. And if you have kids, Camp Ocean is a life saver!!! Excellent cheap cruise. I would say that the Ensenada stop was quite uneventful. Not a great spot for exploring.

My wife and I have sailed the Ruby Princess several times and it's our favorite ship. We normally sail on Princess and of the Princess fleet the Ruby is the best. Your video is spot on in all aspects. Thank you for creating the video.

NONE of my family members or friends like the idea of doiing the Pananma Canal cruise......SO yeap...I go single ....so I can do what I want ..... :D I love it ..!!! all the Excursisonss are great to do with people but also with Single...just talk to the people there and you never have a stranger in your group..haha...

WE are going on Ruby in Nov & its our 1st Princess cruise. We are getting a guaranteed balcony cabin hopefully we get Caribe deck. We are excited, I've only cruised with Royal just got off ICON. Do you find Princess has less kids more adults??

Princess? Huh? Just days ago I spoke with a cruise consultant from Princess, who admitted that they do not cater to solo cruisers. So much easier to find solo cruising opportunities at reasonable prices with Norwegian. Cunard has single state rooms if you like that kind of cruising, (which I do actually).

I love the Ruby. I took it to Hawaii several years ago and I also was on it Dec 29, 2022 to Jan 29, 2023 and love every minute of it. I agree with your thoughts of Honduras Mahogany Bay. I was able to enjoy it 4 times.

Sailed Grand Princess years ago. Main dining service was bad, the rest of the cruise was ok..recently sailed the New Carnival Jubilee, beautiful, but a huge ship. Prefer the Breeze or Valor we're Platinum, don't need all the extras. Just enjoy the fun atmosphere. Have sailed HAL and NCL, still prefer Carnival. And remind your listeners Princess is owned by Carnival Corp

Totally agree. Just home from Enchanted and it was my favourite ship ever. Beautiful decor, eleganant , fun, great atmosphere, friendly, comfortable, plentiful lounge chairs, excellent beds, attentive cabin steward, mediallion worked flawlessly, wonderful room service, and the best layed out , divided, spacious, and immaculate, delicious varied buffet. The entertainment was tops, and shows spectacular. And the staff and service exemplary. only complaint is you have to remember what elevator goes where.

I am doing my first solo cruise on the Sky in August. There's no solo lounge or studio cabins, but they do have solo cabins in all regular categories, and I picked a solo oceanview. It's 149 square feet, so at least I get a little extra room! The solo supplement was 70%. I'd still love to try the lounge and OG studio cabins, but my priority for this trip was a smaller ship.

I will be doing the solo cabin on the Epic next Summer for 9 days. This will be perfect for me! Thankfully I have cruised before, not sure if I would have tried this if it was my first time cruising.

I will be solo on Caribbean Princess May 2025, sister ship to Ruby. I start in Port Canaveral through Panama Canal and then up west coast. I get to enjoy the Golden Gate bridge also as we visit the port of San Francisco. Nice footage you provided.

I'm cruising solo in a studio for the first time in the fall on the Bliss. I love the ship, but have cruised with family and friends usually in a balcony cabin. I'll see how it goes, and maybe book another solo cruise for an extended cruise, like transatlantic or Panama Canal.

Wow. Wow. That was great! When did you sail? I was on Discovery Princess - solo - in late Jan / early Feb (2024), similar itinerary but reverse of yours. I loved Discovery Princess! For me service is where Princess gets it right. I have differing opinions about specialty dining and the "packages" but this is your video - not mine - so I'll keep my opinions to myself. I look forward to your video concerning your mini-suite - I had a mini-suite, also, and loved it - and I am very grateful for all the details you provided on excursions. I'm booked on Majestic Princess for 10 days to Mexico in November; your video - and others - are helping me determine what I'll do different next time. For now, let me say that your video was 30 minutes well-spent and I'm grateful - particularly as a solo cruiser - for the effort you put into it. 👍

I agree, traveling solo is an enriching experience. I just wish that more people realized that solo travelers are NOT necessarily single travelers

I totally agree. Solo cruising is huge now. The cruise lines are getting it, finally. Celebrity recently made changes to solo travel. Unfortunately, they are making it more expensive than it ever was. They are doing the opposite of what the others lines are doing. I crossed them off of my list

Oh my God Ty so much! 12:36am and I am looking at your video. Wife, Grandma (my mom), kid(4) and myself are going to have our 1st cruise and I wanna make sure I know what to do/expect. Your video is well done. I watched other videos and so far this is the best one. I'm also Vegan and thankful there is a vegan menu. My wife is happy! We won't eat just salad and fruits (woohoo)

I've found Princess beds too soft. We like really firm mattresses. I love the loungers on the pool deck. (no, I don't) Try Oceania for soft "day bed" like comfort. Basically, ALL loungers on Oceania are like what you see in the Sanctuary. Princess has great caring staff & among the best excursion itineraries.

Feather pillows? That would be a non-starter for me (allergies). Is there an alternative available? Or do I have to bring my own from home?

Cruised on Ruby Princess out of Galveston with my daughter and had a lovely time. We noted some of the dated elements but none were deal breakers. Especially loved the huge closet area. MDR food was good. Buffet - meh. Food delivery (room service & medallion) was so slow as to be useless. I ate breakfast at the International Cafe every day. 5stars there. The cover band concerts were outstanding. Phone docking ports: as soon as they update them we’ll get new phones with a different plug. Just give me plenty of regular outlets, I’ll bring my own chargers. Would definitely do again.
