A clip from a Swiss school TV series produced in the early 1980s intended to introduce young people to jazz and the blues.

Thirty Dirty Women - Louisiana Red

A clip from a performance given by Louisiana Red at the Nyon Festival, Switzerland, in 1986. Born in Alabama, USA, Louisiana Red had a long stage and recording career beginning in the late1950s. In 1981 he moved to Germany and subsequently made frequent appearances at many festivals and clubs throughout Europe. Sorry about the poor picture quality of this clip that was salvaged off an old VHS c...
Low Down Dog - Leonard "Baby Doo" Caston
Recorded at Wilebski's Blues Saloon, Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA, in March 1984. Perhaps not one of the best-known names on the blues scene, Baby Doo Caston was nevertheless a successful Chicago musician in his day. His recording career began about 1940 when he formed the group The Five Breezes together with Willie Dixon. Backing him on this number are the Minnesota Barking Ducks. Sorry about th...

Long Black Car - Rick Vito and The Lucky Devils
A clip from a concert first shown on German TV in 2000. The song was written by Rick Vito and Tony Marsico. Rick Vito played with Fleetwood Mac for several years in the late eighties and early nineties before becoming a long-standing member of Bonnie Raitt's band. In more recent years he has been touring and recording once again with Mick Fleetwood, playing some quite convincing covers of Peter...
Albatross - Peter Green with The Splinter Group
A clip from a concert first shown on a German TV channel in 1998. Nigel Watson does most of the guitar work on this piece, and makes an excellent job of it, while Peter adds the harmony. It would be interesting to know who played what on the original recording by Fleetwood Mac. Is Nigel Watson simply playing Danny Kirwan's part?

This is a clip from a concert first shown on German TV in 1998. The song was written by Peter Green and originally recorded in 1968 during his days with Fleetwood Mac. Nigel Watson does most of the guitar work on this live version while Peter concentrates on the soulful but rather strained vocal. For a better indication of Peter's capabilities as a vocalist I suggest you listen to some of his e...
Homework - Rick Vito and The Lucky Devils
I think this was first shown on German TV in 2000. A great cover of this old Otis Rush song. Rick Vito played with Fleetwood Mac in the late eighties and early nineties before becoming a member of Bonne Raitt's band. More recently he has toured as the frontman in The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, covering many of the songs recorded in the sixties and early seventies by the original Peter Green's F...

Nice man i try to get his thing going every other day it happens love your open note hendrex fruanste experience playing
A master class in demonstrating you don't need huge volume in sound or notes to make truly great music, just a timeless tune, what a huge talent he was. Also big up to this back up band, they just lie back and supply a lovely groove for Peter to work his magic.
One of the few players with a real poetic quality to his tone and phrasing, genius playing,
Sensacional. Lendário demais.
Still outstanding as all his work is...much loved and remenbered...R.I.P.
👌❤️😌
haunting and beautiful all in one...they a million per cent don't make music like this anymore...no words..just raw talent...absolutely incredible musician's...❤
Great🎉
so sorry I missed him before he passed, Clearly one of the best white blues guitarists ever.

Heaven!
( Extremnly ) amazing
I wish it was louder I'm 72 and can't here to well.
Peter transformed into a really lovable person, not that he wasn't before, but he finally looked happy here in these post days.
Peter Green, Angel on the guitar 💖
Legend Im so glad I got to see him play live and met him afterwards treasured memory
Magical
such sweet sounds from the master Peter Green
I regret never seeing him. And I've seen just about everyone
Beautiful
❤❤❤Weltklasse ❤❤❤
Ricky & band : boss
Living proof you don’t have to play fast class RIP Peter Green
A bit like Black Magic Woman..
Nobody's cooler than Peter Green. Talk about Blues with a feeling!
This is the Fleetwood Mac that I liked. Not the commercial band they became. I know they were very successful but Greenie & Co were amazing.
1:10
The greatest British blues guitarist bar none and a Bethnal Green boy.
With Neil Murray on bass! What a brilliant line-up all round.
He was great then went to Germany and was giving so much LSD that it ruined him and his band mate. So sad
7. September 2024 , immer wieder .❤
Greeny is the best of all time! Nobody plays this wonderful music better than He does....R.I.P
You wonder you really do wonder how Peter would do developed without the years of absence.Best blues guitarist in the world?Interesting that Joe Bonamasa tries to develop that Peter Green sound.Pity it all happened to him.
Gently Weeping Guitar's......😢
Nigel Watson was a great support for peter green, saw them 4 times as splinter group and they played locally in our village hall and was privileged to have seen them do the sound check and have a brief chat with him,it was a moment i will never forget.
Yep i saw them in Brighton and managed to shake Peter’s hand during the interval Brilliant
fender stratocaster is no good for this song, gibson les paul need for sustain
This was one of the first records that I bought. It brings back many memories.
he gave santana a career....an elite guitarist
It was great to see Peter Green back playing again, I saw him with the splinter group at the Assembly rooms Tunbridge Wells in the 1990s. However, let us not kid ourselves this is not a patch on his playing before his breakdown nor is his singing. Just listen to the original recording of Supernatural with Peter in his prime with John Mayals Bluesbreakers or his singing with Fleetwood Mac, its on another level completely, sad to say. 😢
