    Peter Green + Nigel Watson, they both passed away without a rumble, silently. but they are not forgotten. no one will remember me, neither will listen to me. but the world will not stop to listen their voice and sound. Rest in peace.

    That whole journey of Peter Green to me is mystical ... and the Blues they played with Mac back then was an own form of authenticity .. I dearly love the Blues . and I certainly love this man and his music 🌻💐

      I agree. Some of the people commenting are missing the point I feel, considering what he had been through. He was never going to sound the same as he did in 1970, but it was great that he found the confidence to play live again. He had a great blues-rock voice in the old days and I was pleasantly surprised to hear his voice here 20 years later. So sad to hear of his passing. It really has been a shitty year.

    Saw Peter in the Nineties at Brighton it was like seeing your favourite uncle just glad to have him around 20 odd year's before saw him at the 100 Club Oxford St London. Words hard to come by to express his performance that night Mercurial. Any one else remember that gig.

    The Green God.
    Peter had some rough times but I remember being elated when he reappeared with the Splinter Group circa 1997.
    It's not the shredfests of 1970 but the groove is still there.

    Thanks for sharing the clip PMB. RSS is a great song and, as great songs do, holds up well over time and with different players and always sounds great when PG is involved. He doesn't look too good here, but he's been through lots of trials and came back playing as good as ever. That's a pretty strat, in looks and sound, he's playing there. Like 394, C63, V127082. ?:-)

      he's a damned sight better than he was...I used to meet him on a park bench on Richmond Green occasionally when I had lunch breaks...took him a sandwich and cuppa and in the year I was there probably got a handful of words out of him. He was living rough, on the streets, hair all over the place, raggedy and nails an inch long...he's come long way that man and the fact that he can play at all and still does is something to be grateful for and amazed. Good on you Peter! Takes a lot of courage to return to the world...

    • @crozb52
      @crozb52 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Took too much Acid on a tour in Germany and went out on that boat in to the middle of nowhere without a paddle...and took him an age to come back. As I commented below, I used to see him on my lunch breaks when I worked in Richmond and I am amazed that he has 'returned' and found it within himself to play again...let alone play live and on stage. Mick Fleetwood would come over to London and try to get him to take his royalty payments, but he was a recluse then.

      Great players & Peter trusted them enough to play so it's seems more like they were just in awe they were playing with such a legend & they were not pushing him to play more than he was able , Sad ending to one great musician & he struggled long after the troubles he went through the rest of his life but he never gave up even with the lapses he had. Those guys are not embarrassed at all & they sure can play just fine. I feel for the guitarist having to do what Peter did so well but what an honor to have had the chance to play music with a real legend .
