I would generally recommend playing them all in order, or at least play three last as it's probably the most direct sequel.

2 the blade system had me addicted

XC1’s quantity over quality side quests were too off putting for me, especially when I weigh a game’s replay value when I rate it. If I were going on base game alone XC2 and XC3 would probably be tied for me but XC2 did a lot more for their DLC, whereas XC3’s DLC felt lacking in comparison. Between that and the fact that XC2 was my first Xenoblade game and there’s a little bias there, XC2 is my favorite. I’m excited to see where XCX ranks when I get it in May.

Best way to play is Xc1 Xc2 Xcx Xc3 Or xcx after xc3 i dont think it matters to much. And all the dlc after you finished playing the main game obv

You will NOT understand a keypoint happening at the end of the second game if you skipped the first game, if you play 2 before 1 then ur not a fan, unless it was impossible to play the first first

I got 3 for mio. And that was my entry point. Might get 2 afterwards, and if I enjoy that just as much I'll get 1

I need help, I only finished the baseline games and haven't touched any of the DLC's. I'm worried that I might start with the wrong one, idk the order to play the DLC 😭

I would suggest skipping 2, because it’s terrible.

yes, the AI in mario party series has been programmed to cheat since the first game. many people have reverse engineered the code of each of these games and the it's actually pretty shocking just how often the AI is programmed to cheat by the developers.

I have to disagree. Combat wise, 1 is the worst in the trilogy, so starting with 2 and going back to 1 would feel like a downgrade. Also, future connected is probably more relevant to the overarching plot than Torna, and has a lot of foreshadowing for Future Redeemed/3 so i wouldn’t recommend skipping it (or Torna, it’s incredible too)

I’ll give you one big reason not to buy it. NO ENGLUSH DUB!!!!!!! The originals were in English and while the audio quality and voice acting wasn’t the best, atleast it was in English. Why didn’t the remakes just improve on the English dub instead of removing it. I don’t speak or understand Japanese!!! Hard pass.

I love Xenoblade in its own right, but the story telling is a bit mental. When i watch a 40 minute explainer video, to still be scratching my head, Monolith have gone too far off rails with the scripts. Not EVERY story element in a game HAS to be some pseudo, transient, cryptic, metaphorical, illusory thing. It's ok to just have some 'down to Earth' aspects that follows basic logic of cause and effect

I was excited about this when it was announced, but then they said they weren't redoing the english VA and were just removing it entirety. I can never get into a movie, anime, game, whatever when I can't understand what they are saying.

I'll never say to someone that he has to play Xenoblade games in order! A Xenoblade game takes time and each game can be enjoyed separately. If someone want to start with Xenoblade 3, I'd say fine, it's an excellent game, and not playing 1 & 2 is fine too. I actually didn't know Xenoblade 3 was a direct sequel to 1 & 2 while playing it, and I played 1 before. Discovering it during playing the game was more enjoyable to me that if I knew and expected it. I started Xenoblade 2 right after and I thought I'd understand Xenoblade 3's story better: actually, not that much. Playing 2 didn't bring anything really important in order to understand Xenoblade 3's story

Xenoblade 2 Torna is literally my favorite out of all of them from the unique combat system (which is way better than base game combat, in my opinion) to the story which although doesn’t directly connect to the main over all story is still some of the best writing out there, just over all one of the greatest experiences out of all the xenoblades

I dont mind people being disappointed for "waiting". I have a problem with people turning Nintendo taking their time with Switch 2 as some moral issue. People put Nintendo on a timeline for 3 years and failed. Then, because people got non public info about Switch 2 and Nintendo is supposed to jump to it and change all their plans... no, you wait til April that's when they will ready to give detailed info.

Not too much on the Wii U gamepad... That second screen for maps and inventory was the DEFINITIVE way to play Zelda.

Ive played 2, havent played torna yet, have xenoblade 1 but havent played it yet, played 3, and played the dlc for 3. Its one of my favorite series, you really dont have to play them in order. Itll help for a couple things, but it isnt necessary Edit: half of the stuff in 3's story is confusing anyways. But i do agree with playing 3's dlc last since it has a couple of really important characters
