Welcome to Carsideration where I will take you on a tour of all kinds of vehicles.
I'm Cameron and vehicles are my passion. My goal for this channel is to bring you closer to cars that you would otherwise not see in your day-to-day life, help you make a purchasing decision if you are in the market for a vehicle, and of course entertain you with content if you are a petrolhead like myself.
If you have a car you'd like me to review send an email to carsiderationchannel@gmail.com
I am located in the Midwest so the three main cities I look for are Chicago, Indianapolis, or Detroit. All of which are within a reasonable radius for me to drive in a day.
Thanks for sticking around with me on this automotive TH-cam journey!

soonn as i hear porschA i dislike and block profile
That is my daily driver.... I have the white with pin stripes..... you hit the nail on the head with the road feelQ
Love the video. Thats my man rolling the car out! Go Joseph!
@@LaurenCampbellCo that is awesome!!!!!
That steering wheel is bad ass
@@Bozo_Lord man. I just love this entire car. Every piece of it. Thanks for watching! 😎
Honestly i cant even see a lambo in irl so ur lucky
@@Thespecofsand haha WEC and IMSA races are the best. You can get so close to all the cars. I live in the country so I feel you there.
I believe your 4 runner is a third or even fourth generation. Toyota imported the SR5 pickups from 1982-1984 with a diesel engine. It was a non-turbocharged engine. It was really really slow but would return 41 mpg all day long. The only problem was Toyota used the standard 5 speed trans which was not up to the torque the engine developed. Any hill on the highway you had to be in 3rd gear. But, it was a great vehicle as long as your weren’t in a hurry.
schumacher owns one iirc
not directly#1 but he ones a fxx iirc
You nailed it!!! 😎
I believe Schumacher owns car #30. That’s why I said 1 of 29. Just to be safe haha
I am not a Ford lover and I never did like mustangs, but there is no better sound than that V8 growl. I may just buy a GT350 instead of a corvette bc of that sound. My current import with a turbo has an exhaust that can't be beat, but I don't get the V8 growl and I think I need that in my life. Shelby GT 350 flat plane crank, or GT350 Coyote cross plane crank with a turbo? That is the question.
@@jessicaphoenix1312 my vote, biased of course, a GT350 because that flat plane crack sound of the Voodoo motor is unique and worth every penny haha
The Japanese Sedans up to the 90s and mid 2000s are just beautiful
@@SpudEater I agree! Man. I LOVED this car so much. It is a perfect cruiser.
Just bought a 1995 2nd gen with the 1KZ-TE as my new daily driver. Absolutely love it. Parts are very affordable and easy to get from places like Amayama (all OEM). They’re tanks and like you said everything is so mechanical. Even taking apart the dash to put in a new head unit. Literally a few screws and bolts. This is the way cars and trucks SHOULD be made.
@@345detailing4 the older I get the more I appreciate the ease of working on older vehicles. I’m highly considering one as a daily driver when i get a new DD. That is awesome.
2nd gen hilux surf 2.4 or 3.0 Diesel
Oh man, I’m not a complete Surf aficionado but there is something about a diesel that just makes my heart happy 😁
🏆
Hi, i just watched your vid. Great watch. Do you still have the car? Have you thought of supercharging to gain especially torque? I am contemplating either a M4 or shelby but not to sure of the lower low end torque of the shelby. And the M4 can easily be tuned with more torque and become a monster , but maybe less engaging/fun than shelby.
Great question. I don’t own this car but I have spent plenty of time driving this (it’s my dads) and I also have about 4hrs worth of track experience in an M4 (F82). For me the GT350 comes out on top but not by much. The M4 was a BLAST, the inline 6 and RWD had much more torque but for me the sound and overall experience, handling of the GT350 does it for me. If you are looking to mod one though, the M4 is probably the better choice. Either way, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed as they are both fun 😎
@@Carsideration i ended up trading in my Boss for a 24 M2 manual. The Boss was a great drivers car. This looks to be as much if not better drivers car, and way better at luxury, finish, prestige.
@@Bebopin-69 congrats!! And oh yeah. The M2 is such a great platform. Plenty of power and it feels like a go kart tbh on a track. 100% a great choice.
What did you think of the automatic transmission? I've been hearing manual is better for these heavy rigs.
The automatic didn’t bother me at all. It shifted great and wasn’t clunky. But with that being said, SAVE THE MANUALS! Go with the manual for sure!
I just saw one of these btw at the Porsche Experience Center in LA... As well as the "GT3R". Believe it or not they both look just about as good as one another. Obviously the RSR has a larger diffuser, while the GT3 R (not to be outdone) has a larger and more savage wing! Both stunning Porsche race cars.
@@original2758 I agree. They are absolutely amazing and the sound they make. Ahhh man. I just love them.
Outside of the Porsche "GT1" in its final stages of development (all time favorite race machine) the RSR is my fav!!
I agree 100%. The sound the last two generations made. Oooohh man.
And, just like you can't get a heated steering wheel, you can get driver's seat memory. That should be standard on the OBW.
The Toyota destruction test was first done by Top Gear UK (Clarkson/May/Hammond) Also that Surf is running the KZN 185 3.0 engine which was bullet proof as opposed to the 2.x engine You failed to mention that this particular variant ran a dual battery and coolant system systems that made for extra resilience. Regret selling mine.😭😭
That is all great info! Thank you for sharing. Man, yips just gotta buy another one now haha
How is this better than the Accord? In fact I'd say the Accord and Camry are 1a and 1b depending on drivetrain choice, Mazda 6 is 2, Hyundai Sonata/Kia K5 are 3a and 3b, then the Passat. It's not a bad car, it's just old and outdated now. If we had the Euro Passat (we do get it in the more expensive form of the Arteon) then it might rank 2 or 3, but not this cheapened American version.
For me…..it comes down to the exterior design and I felt like 2020 Passat v Accord the Passat wins. Now, if we are talking the 2023 Accord redesign. That might be a different story haha
Just got a '19 GT350 with the couch seats. I dont have a track anywhere close to me but I have mountain roads, and for me its perfect. The seats hold me actually very well.
Haha “couch seats” I love it. And hey, if you like it and are comfortable…..that’s all that matters!
U have to see cars in person everone has different taste and i never drove one it takes more to really get my attention i had so many lost so much i dont trust anyone or anything 😊😢
Haha I don’t disagree. It like G80 M3. Saw the photos online and hated it. Finally saw one in person and I loved it.
Ok, if you just get over “JDM RHD cars are cooler and better BS” then just get yourself a 4runner instead for 1/4 of the price. 2nd gen Surf did not get any cool options over US spec 4runners, except for diesel. 4runner with 3.4 swap is way better car the 1KZ Surf. 1KZ is not economical engine it will consume 15L/100 of Diesel just like a 5VZ 3.4. It will be more expensive to fix. 1KZ is slower, it has SPV valve which is nutritious for failing, it is prone to overheating and cracking heads. 2LT 2.4 litter is even slower than 1KZ in fact it is waaaaay slower, then 3.0 that came in US spec 4runner. The only benefit to 2LT is gas milage and you can put mechanical pump on them. So why bother and pay premium for RHD car that is worse in every way the us spec car!? Diesel toyota is not the same is 1.9 VW swaped toyotas. 1.9 has more power the toyota diesel and VW 1.9 is waaay more economical on Diesel. 1.9 VW swaped toyota will get you 29 MPG (8l/100km) 2.4 2TLE will get you 19 MPG on a good day (12l/100km) 1KZte will get you 16 MPG (15l/100km) And I owed all of these trucks. I know what I’m talking about. Just get yourself 3.4 swapped 2nd gen. This is the best of them all
You my friend are a Surf/4Runner savant! Haha I trust your knowledge and therefore agree. In the US, the 4Runner is the best option BUT JDM and RH drive are too cool to pass up at times in my opinion haha
That white one looks pretty awesome.
The RSR is the dream track car 😍
The older the car gets the shorter the shaken aka the road inspection becomes. One year can become 6 months. That’s a lot of money to be spent. They’re basically giving you two clear options 1. You can either keep wasting money frequently for your beloved car 2. Or take this shit off the road and get a newer car lol Also cabs this size don’t make it easier. Since if you’re in the city, owning something like this is a nightmare to you and people around you. Roads are already narrow as it is, no one needs a big shit like this taking the whole fkn road 😂
This is exactly why I live in the country haha 🐂🐄
Great review. Makes want to go drive mine right now lol. Ford gave the engineers carte blanche in the development of this car and they knocked it out of the park. I was never a huge mustang because I've always been a fan of cars that can handle the turns and not focused on cars that go fast in a straight line. Then this mustang came out ( i know i know, it's a cobra not a mustang lol) and i was in awe of it. The first video i ever seen was when it first came out and Prost (i think that's his name) drove it and reviewed it. It became my dream car, i had to have one. For the next 6yrs i watched and read every thing that was out there about the gt350. In July of 2022 i bought a 2020 with only 3100 miles on it. I was love right away. I drove it for a few months before deleting the resonators just so i could appreciate the difference. It really woke the exhaust up. These cars sound so fuckin good. I really think it's the best looking mustang/cobra ever made. People are always looking at it, giving me a thumbs up, people taking pics of it, asking about it etc. I walked out of petsmart one and a guy and his gf were taking selfies with it and posing with it lol. It looks special and people that know nothing about cars know it's special just by the way it looks. Low, wide, the spoiler and the angry looking front end. So well designed. Sorry so long lol i could talk about cars for hours
Thanks for watching and telling your story!! This is my dad’s car and I share the appreciation of it as much as he does. When he was ordering it in 2018 he asked me what color and I told him “do Kona Blue”. When he took delivery it was over cast and he called me. “Dude, this is purple. Wtf did you recommend me!? 😂” the next day there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and called me again and was like “ok, now it is blue, and purple, and has metal flake”. We likely will never get another Mustang like this. I hope I’m wrong and I’m glad there are plenty out there. The sound they make is so unique and no matter what, everyone seems to appreciate the GT350 at cars and coffee, no matter what they drive and I think that says a lot about this vehicle and its design.
The wheels alone are worth the bump in price from the base to the R!
Hahaha I would agree! The carbon wheels look amazing!
Does he not know you can do the cabin temp controls from actual buttons?
TBH I think I totally spaced out while filming. This was my first ever video 🤣
Such a good car.
'Promosm' 💔
Hear me out: Be financially irresponsible and buy a 2020 GT350R instead
Hahaha best comment I’ve seen awhile. 😂 I support this 100% now.
I love the 944. So beautiful. I want one.
favourite one
Getting mines this week from Japan.. I got the diesel limited
How was the process of doing that? Where would I start?
Yep their only real downfall is the crash performance which is scary. Dont know what Toyota did in terms of crumple zones if any or collapsing steering wheel but yeah.. unfortunate cause I would love to daily one of these.
"Promosm"
Why are the hairs on my arms standing up ..... 🎶
Has to be one of the best eras of F1. If not, the best.
Extremely interesting fun fact!!??
Did I say that? Lol or do you have one? 😂
The owner knows hes got a trophy car right there
100%. He is so happy with it and seems to enjoy it more than his previous convertible E46 M3.
'We just had our first child therefore we needed a three row ...' - way too dramatic dude - first time parents overdo everything
Haha 😂 you aren’t wrong. We also have two dogs over 80lbs. Not sure if I mentioned that. That was the 2nd main reason.
Shifter knob feel is horrible, I changed myn and i couldn’t be happier getting rid of the stock one.
I’ve never seen these cars until I saw a 1983 on marketplace for 5k. Black leather interior with the yellow gauges. I really want to go and pick it up
Do it!! You can always sell it if you don’t enjoy it
...are the 2020 WRX still good at 60k miles?
I think so. It really just depends on how it was driven if you are buying used but if you are buying new(er) I wouldn't worry about 60K miles, especially if it is unmodified.
Name of the Color?
This color is called Kona Blue. One of my favorite colors Ford offered.
What - premium gas?? Oh crap
haha I know! 91 or above hits the pocket book different in an SUV.
All i want for Christmas is my crsuh to say yes
Curious about the argument of the engine differences between the pre ‘19 GT350’s and 350R’s. Ford said there were no differences between them but then with the Gen 2 motor, it said the regular 350’s got the R’s motor and made a big deal about it. Argues the point that prior to ‘19 they WERE different!
I thought the same thing but digging deeper the 19+ 350s shared more 350R and GT500 parts than I thought!
I've always loved that story about the naming of the GT350/500. I heard it told with Carroll himself in attendance at a SAAC banquet in 2005. The following part of the story I quote constantly because it's relevant to so many things in life. He was asked at some point how he could build such amazing cars with such passion and attention to detail and then put in so little effort naming them when other cars of the day had cool exciting names like Thunderbird and so forth. He said "If it's a good car the name doesn't matter and if it's a bad car the name won't save it".
I love that story! And that is sooo damn true.
@@CarsiderationI always liked they GT 500 after Bobby Yowell spanked myGTX 😊
Late 80s to mid 90 are the best cars
Maybe it is because I was born in 91 that I don’t like most 80s cars 😂 idk why, but most just don’t do it for me. There are a few from those two decades that I really like though. The RS200 for example. One of my dream cars.
How much?
This was for a corporate event so it was free which made it even better 😎😎
Did anybody notice the missing strut bar. The 2001’s didn’t come with one. Became stock in 2002. The bumper is slightly heavier for 2001 and it is also easier to dyno with only 2 rear wheels spinning. 2001 don’t have bi-xenon’s either. No SMG for 2001 models either at least for US market. LED taillights came out in 2003.5 models I believe. I still have my 2001 E46 M3 which I’ve owned since new. I’ve had my F430 for over 16 years now. Both are fun cars to drive. Brings a smile every time.
Correct on the strut bar and the tail lights. Those were retro fitted on to this 2001. You have a great eye! I thought the SMG was available in 2002 for the US market though? That is says a lot about the E46 that is just as fun to drive as your F430. I’ve driven a few super cars but only “modern era”. The F430 has to be a blast!
