Did anybody notice the missing strut bar. The 2001’s didn’t come with one. Became stock in 2002. The bumper is slightly heavier for 2001 and it is also easier to dyno with only 2 rear wheels spinning. 2001 don’t have bi-xenon’s either. No SMG for 2001 models either at least for US market. LED taillights came out in 2003.5 models I believe. I still have my 2001 E46 M3 which I’ve owned since new. I’ve had my F430 for over 16 years now. Both are fun cars to drive. Brings a smile every time.
Correct on the strut bar and the tail lights. Those were retro fitted on to this 2001. You have a great eye! I thought the SMG was available in 2002 for the US market though? That is says a lot about the E46 that is just as fun to drive as your F430. I’ve driven a few super cars but only “modern era”. The F430 has to be a blast!
The owner knows hes got a trophy car right there
100%. He is so happy with it and seems to enjoy it more than his previous convertible E46 M3.
I own a Tesla and an e46 m3 too. The contrast is just amazing. I appreciate both for what they are.
That is awesome! Both a great cars. You get the best of both worlds.
Such a good car.
