Glad you liked the vid! Uni matters of course as per the video but eco and finance would be best. Pure eco has a lot of econometrics which is great but there's less emphasis on actual finance concepts. You can of course choose finance modules as options from second year so if you like the uni, straight eco is great

It's a good uni and will be very popular on the next few years. If you like the little ok of it then definitely attend because you'll get good jobs from it but I feel in the true rankings it's ranked too high.....but it's definitely a top 20 UK uni with good job opportunities!

I like the level of research you've done to make the best choice! You're right for IB especially the actual results are much different to typical offered grades. For your degree I would say that only LSE and Warwick A+F would be seen in the same regards as a lot of Eco degrees from most unis. Thats not to say its equivalent as getting an Eco degree from LSE or Warwick but employers know the level of study is intense at the universities. Maybe Bristol uni as well. So i would go for A+F at Warwick if you feel its a better shot at getting in. Mind you Eco at uni as i mentioned in the video is actually Maths at the top unis so you dont learn economic theory per se but rather econometrics. If you can get a top grade in maths that would help. I will be making an A+F tier list video soon as theres quite a few nuances between the degrees.

Definitely the MSc . No decent MBA would take you with zero work experience. But you've only just started, focus on getting the spring weeks then work your way up to an offer, it's possible. Doing another degree at a higher ranked uni isnt necessary

I'm going to be making a Scotland ranking video if there's demand. But at a high level, Scotland has some amazing unis, majority of them are top within the UK. Id say the traditional ones to get into top jobs is st Andrews/ Edinburgh. These two are better than a lot of the UK ones and if you have offers from there and want to save money then attend those. Then there's a gap and you've got Glasgow/strathyclyde then another gap and you've got Herriot Watts....that's off the top of my head.

That's a good enough course if you enjoy the uni and course material. The education in Scotland is more rounded and both Edinburgh and St Andrews course are all top notch

Walkum salaam. They both offer different products and each product has its place in everyone's portfolio. Finance offers very high risk products whereas Wahed offers a range of risks but not as much as binance. This isnt financial advice , but my personal split is both crypto and stocks , but stocks (Wahed) much much higher than crypto.

I think if youre focussing on FO it'll be difficult. From RH i would suggest moving to a MO role and pivoting to FO that way if thats what youre interested in

I think you said that we get reminder for Zakah right before Ramadan so you can pay it off in Ramadan but that's not how Zakat works as I explained above if my savings or assets pass the threshold of silver or gold in the month of Safar and remains so until next hijri year then I'm obligated to give Zakah by the month of Safar isn't it

@techninja1 ah got you. I agree with you, you can pay over any 12 months, most people decide to have their 12 months Ramadan to Ramadan for increased reward so that's why I made the point. That is also the reason Wahed does the calculation Ramadan to Ramadan. But if you do it say Jan -dec then you will have to do your own calculation. An additional clarification point is the amount you pay. When you buy a stock you're buying assets+liabilities meaning you don't pay zakat on the full amount but rather just the assets portion which scholars have estimated to be around 30-33%....you then pay 2.5% on this amount.

@CertifiedTalks hm I wonder if it is from the Sunnah to pay only in Ramadan. I am aware that we can pay the Zakah in advance. So I guess it's permissible. Anyway if that's what you meant then it's fine. About what you said that stocks are assets and liabilities. I don't get it. Are stocks 70 percent liability to us? Can u elaborate pls?

Walakum salaam. Bristol is amazing for Eco, definitely requires a good level of maths though as the course is very quantitative. I think the rankings have pushed bristol very low and i understand why but its still one of the classic top unis people think of in the uk. Has a great reputation of ending up in top places

I would say apply to imperial/Cambridge/ Warwick/ucl/Southampton….those are the ones immediately I can think of which have good results. Feel free to hop on a call with me if it’ll be useful!

Very high but very tough to break into it. Salaries are one of the highest but you also have a high cost of living.

In general you can receive crypto airdrops as long as the coin itself adheres to Shariah principles. The airdropped coins must have an actual utility purpose, not be involved with riba or gambling, and the terms of the airdrop must comply with Islamic financial guidelines.

Whilst I'm not saying it's top 10 in UK , I would say it's a good uni for that subject. They have also launched a medicine degree two year ago so increased spend in the medical/sciences departments will be happening meaning you'll see it become even better over the next few years. It will also be joining the university of London shortly meaning it will benefit from being part of the UCL, kings etc network.

It's a bit different for medicine/dentistry. All medicine and dentistry courses are of the same standard as per regulation and are administered by the general medical council for consistency and quality. For students it is very important they get high grades as that is what determines where they are placed for their rotations. Doing a lot of additional medicine related work is equally important. The course at Brunel will become better overtime especially with shared knowledge across Barts/UCL/KCL etc as they're all part of UoL now.

A bit of both. Its a very new course so did slip my mind but also the eco course at imperial is very heavy towards and uses it's strengths of teaching machine learning, coding and data whilst also learning the fundamentals of economics......in other words it's totally different to any other eco course in the uk. I don't think many of the grads will go to IB jobs but rather trading and quant roles. But if you go either imperial, Durham or Warwick you'll have great chance from all getting into IB , no question about it. If you have a good chance at getting into Imperial then go fo it! Be careful though, there's a lot of studying there! Check out my top London unis by value video!

Id go for Southampton

Yep it's probably more enjoyable and will show a good mix of skill set since you'll probably have to do essays as well

No, you would have to justify more why you studied IR and not a finance degree for undergrad and with competition so fierce at IBs they would rather not care and consider you. St Andrews is a great uni and for your chosen career path it wont hinder you at all. Employers appreciate the more rounded experience you get at St Andrews

Generally itll be your personal details e.g. address, and likely your tax id number - depending on the regions legal requirements they might ask you for more info. Youll also be asked about how risk averse you are and make sure you understand your investments can go up and down (from a legal perspective they have to). Youll then be assigned a risk portfolio based on how you answered your risk profile questions.

RH is a very good uni and often goes under the radar a lot of the time. I wouldnt say its amazing at computer science as im sure you know there would be other unis ranked higher eg Imperial, UCL for your course - but overall its a good uni to study there. And from my knowledge foundation years can be used to enter other universities as well if you choose to do so.

The foundation year will help you in your applications for another uni if you want. The universities see it as an added qualification for normal entry level requirements. I wouldn't say doing extra activities would massively boost your application. Only really useful for some degrees.

@@CertifiedTalks Sorry and one more thing just to make it clear they would accept foundation year in unis like UCL or Imperial, because some of those UNIS dont accept BTEC just want to make sure, and the application has to be through UCAS as well.

Recruiting in uk happens quite differently. There is no Campus recruiting like in india or america...you have to apply online to the companies. But that degree at QM is very good one and will get you to interview stages at least

It does both. It contains dividend paying stocks such as Unilever and invests to grow the fund value. I will be making a video exploring each Islamic index soon.

Id definitely choose Loughborough. The MBA isn't top tier and I feel it'll be a while before it gets near that level but it's a respected uni overall and everyone knows it's improving every year. Make sure to check out my MBA video if it's worth it as well!

That’s not really how it works tbh otherwise we can do several interest transactions and then just pay the penalty. You have the mortgage now, make an intention to not engage in any new riba transactions, pay excess off as soon as possible even if there’s a penalty.

No offense caused. I just wanted to know if you were mature student as it's help in the reply. I think if you're a mature student birkbedk will be a good option for you. A lot of the courses and uni overall is tailored for that. The reputation is great and the industry knows most people who go there are either mature students or working part time as well
