@@CertifiedTalks Most probably warwick, but the only available degrees i can take there is either accounting with finance or just economics. So I don’t know what to pick. Any help would be helpful, thank you.

Economics for sure. A+F at Warwick (and LSE) are very well respected on par with economics but if you have option of eco and are good at maths then go for it

I started watching your videos recently and have fallen in love. They are rich in insight into the funance industry and specific roles. I have an accounting background, am currently pursuing qualifications in finance, and wanted to ask if the CFA designation would benefit me professionally (and personally) as someone aspiring to work as a credit analyst.
Thanks again for your content 🙏

Many thanks for your kind words, i really appreciate it!
You already have a great base and this is the common starting place for people moving into credit risk roles. Many jobs advertise theyre looking for newly qualified accountants in their job specs. So i would say right now start applying because you have the right skill set. However, make sure you understand how youre expected to use your accounting skills in credit risk.....its more about doing sensititvty analysis, deep diving on what data means and creating models.
You CFA will help if you choose to move into a banking industry role, outside of banking no one cares about derivatives and financial products! This can all be learnt though on the job as well (make sure you say you can learn this yourself in interviews) Good luck if you choose to study CFA, its a lot of material!
