Tysm love you for the websites I’ll keep u in my prayers
what are your anki settings please
what are you anki settings plz
Is it too late to revise for an Astar
Nope!! You have 4-5 months to go which is more than enough if you organise yourself well and set yourself daily / weekly goals
Lulu 😳
Is this for aqa
@Zahra-gl1cy yup!
thank you i will use all these websites its so stressful that A levels are in 5 months
heyyy Ala *not sure i spelt that right, im sorryyy* but just a quick question. did you take physcis for your y12?
heya nope I did biology, chemistry and maths :))
@@luluhalim Ooh, okay. I study here in Dubai, and we have AS level in Year 12, where we finish half the A Level syllabus, and then A Levels in Year 13, where we complete the other half. We have the options in Year 12 and then drop one in Year 13. I had to fight the system to take only three subjects. Friends and school management tried to convince me that it was 'too risky' because if I didn't score well in one subject, I wouldn't be able to take three subjects in Year 13. I also plan to do med, and some countries require physics for Year 12. So, do you think it's necessary, especially if I want to pursue medicine in the UK? But if I don't get into medicine in the UK, do other countries require physics? to study medicine **Sorry for the long message** 😭
I'm sorry commenting you again but also I will be moving abroad for medschool and you live alone right? So how do you manage living on your own plus studies plus cooking and stuff...also you miss your family..I'm too sentimental ahaha.. It's easy and fun right?? Someone just tell me I can do it hh!!
Haha Yess you can do it, it definitely has its ups and downs, I live with amazing flatmates thankfully so that helps in the loneliness aspect but you’ll definitely feel lonely here and there. In terms of cooking and other stuff it’s all about getting used to it, and it’s life skills that are really helpful for the long run!!! I’d say don’t stress about it too much, you’ll have loads of fun and your optimistim and attitude about it will shape your experience☺️🫶🏻
@luluhalim awwh tysm ..I'm definitely looking forward to it!! Thankyouuuuuu :3
Finally!! I love your vlogs so much, they are so motivating 💖💖 The past days i wasn’t really motivated to study but as I’m going to the hospital and I see the residents, how much they know and how hardworking they are, it really inspires me and i like to imagine my future (desired selfs) looks like them so then i tell myself it’s really worth it even if it seems hard So thats my way on how i stay motivated, i hope it works for you🫶🏻🤍🤍🤍
Thank youuu!!!! Yess that’s so true, starting hospital placement really made a huge difference in how I envision myself as a doctor and what type of doctor I want to be which is also motivating!!!🫶🏻🎀 Now that Christmas holidays are starting soon there’ll also be more time to catch up on work as well, good luck in your studies!! 💞
Aoa Alaa! Can you please gimme some tips on how to study to get distinctions or good grades from. the very start of medschool...I'm starting my medschool in March so yea...I definitely love your videos and I wanna do vlogging too as I get my studies started just like you..!! How do you manage yt plus medicine?❤
Heyy!!! Yess definitely I’ll be making a video on how to get high grades, its defo just making sure you put in the work and stay on top of your lectures + studying smartly with tools like anki. Good luck on starting med school!!! And YESS you should defo start vlogging it’s so much fun, I’m not going to lie it is hard to balance and I’m not too good at it with my posting schedule but if you organise yourself and set yourself a set time every week to film and edit then you’ll be able to stay on top of it more!
@@luluhalim AllahumaBarik! Thankyouu so muchh seniorDr. Wish you all the best for your studies and may you become a good Dr I am looking upto ,, love you and thanks
Hi I’ve been watching your videos for a while good luck on ur placement!! Also I’m currently in yr 13 and I wanted to ask where there ever times that you had no motivation to revise, I feel so behind with content on the sciences and this makes me not want to revise - do you have any tips on how to not become lazy during exam session Thank you in advance 💌
Thank youu!! Definitely most of the time it’s hard to find motivation to be honest but here are some things that make it easier: - break your tasks into small chunks, when you feel like you have ALOT to do its easier to get demotivated, I LOVE setting myself a date deadline then seeing how many topics i need to do a day to stay on track, this gives you smaller milestones everyday to get through - Have a nice study atmosphere going, that can be music / songs or a certain cafe / library you go too or studying with friends etc so that you can stay accountable. - Don’t blame yourself too much, being lazy is not a problem in you its mainly things like stress or dreading a big task etc that make you procrastinate, so if you take things one by one and be realistic and systematic with yourself, it helps SOO much. - find your goal and motif, if you want certain grades really think about why and envision your future, this way you’ll have a set goal in mind that pushes you to work when you don’t want to - it’s way easier to have fun now but think about future you and whether you’ll be satisfied with the results or regret them (I personally didn’t feel too good after my first year exams in med school and that drove me to work way harder in second year cuz i wanted to feel satisfied with the work i put in) I hope this helps!!
@ thank you I’ll definitely try scheduling my goals by dates !!
When will you upload a new video ?!! I really miss you!!!
@@ruqyanajem aww thank you!!! It’s coming very soon!!!
I have a doubt that I'm from India. I can UCAT by myself without any coaching centers . I'm willing to take test in 2025. Can you give some advice or guidance. Please help me
@@sabeetha3078 I’d definitely recommend investing in a question bank like Medify to start practising, and there are loads of resources on youtube that are super helpful like section walkthroughs. Overall, starting early and giving yourself time to take practice is key and good luck!
Just discovered your channel and am in loveee!! :)
thank u so much sister, may god bless u
Hi I got a question , so my teacher gave me a sheet of what we will be learning throughout the year . Should I make notes and revise the topic before learning it in class
Hiya! That would be amazing if you can but I would say don’t stress yourself as long as you know you’ll be able to cover all the topics my the end of the year and have time to go through them
Hi , got a question should I make the notes on the topic after having the lesson on the topic or should I make the notes before learning the topic in class
Hiya! Making topics before the class is quite useful personally as you get to consolidate your learning once already during the class, but it can be a difficult thing to keep doing throughout the year so I’d recommend a mix of both depending on how you’re doing with your other topics etc., (I’d say the main focus should be to try and not fall behind on other topics)
What iPad are u using for this or currently using now?
I’m currently using the ipad Air 5 :))

Hi Lulu 👋 Been watching ur vids for a while now - Good luck with ur placement year ❤
Thank youu!☺️
Hey Happy to be here on your channel 😊
Is placement year just a year to help students decide what field of medicine they wanna go into? I heard there’s a year where you spend a few months in each department to see what each field is like to help with your decision!
Usually its 3 years which are the clinical years of medicine, we get placed in different departments yup and the curriculum is based around hospital specialties
@@luluhalim ooo okay! thanks for explaining
hi sis i am a self study student (not going to any college), its my first year for a lvl ( year 12), if i were to watch your guide of this video, will i get A? in maths
you definitely can yes! as long as you’re very organised with your time and you’re structuring your revision and planning it beforehand, and then keeping up on reviewing content often then you should be able to do well! I’d recommend using youtube channels to learn the concepts first and then practicing and reviewing them :))
@@luluhalim Thanks a lot sis, i will do so. my only concern is the topic layout, by that i mean i dont know which topics comes first and what are the subtopics,
hii can anyone help me out plzzzzzz????!!!!! . actuallly i'm new in as level cie, & quite dont know how many papers is there for cie as level exam. did find out that it has 3 paper [unless like edexcel biology which has 3 pprs on 3 units], ppr 1 MCQ, ppr 2 theory, ppr 3 practical. NOW THIS PRACTICAL IS KILLING ME!!!!! .. is the practical paper only writen or do i have to go to lab bcz i went thru the past paper & some of the questions seems like we need results from lab so what DO I DO?????????? cz im new in biology
Hiyaa I’d recommend asking your teachers at school and getting information from there, I did AQA sadly so I’m not sure how the cie exam works ;’(
@@luluhalim oh god cie is really hard & im an external student
hello, i'm about 3 months into year 12 and have pure sciences with psychology as my subjects. i started off strong with biology and psychology in the beginning but then i was struggling with chemistry and physics (still am) which demotivated me to study as a whole. my midterms are in less than a month and i have zero motivation whatsoever because everything is so all over the place and i cant seem to organise it, sigh idk why im saying all this but the video was very helpful regardless! thank you x
hi can u help me??? plz????????
This can definitely happen and its super frustrating!! Especially when it feels like everything is all over the place :(, the best way to move on and continue is to start tackling small things step by step and not try to tackle everything all at once. Start by giving yourself mini tasks everyday and making a big list of all the topics you need to cover by midterms then rank which ones are the highest yield and slowly go through them. In this situation its best to not focus on doing everything at once and instead focus on the high yield topics. Good luck hopefully it’ll work out!
@@luluhalim thank you!!
Assalamualikum I have just started med school do u suggest me an ipad or laptop or should I focus on handwritten notes?
@@amagamer5558 I’d definitely recommend at least having a laptop for flashcards / anki and accessing lectures or for any written projects you have, so if you need to invest in something now and you don’t currently have one then I’d say a laptop. If you do have a laptop already then I’d recommend starting out with handwritten notes and seeing how it works for you :))
@luluhalim thank u soo much
I'm in year 12 and I just found your channel and I'm binging all your videos lol, I was wondering what field of medicine do you wanna go into? (btw I watched your rating books videos before this and I had to recommend the shatter me series by tahereh mafi, or a good girls guide to murder trilogy by holly jackson! these are both my top 2 favourite book series!
@@lxna6573 aww thank you!!! I’m still not sure, I’ve been very interested in surgery but I’m open to all specialties as of now :)), ooo thank you for the recommendations I’ve heard a lot about both, I’ll try them out hehe
@ okayyy inshallah you’ll do great in whatever you choose! hope you love the book series! 💖
@@luluhalim also in your “how to study for bio & chem” video, you said you would note down your mistakes and then turn them into flashcards, but how did you do that? Did you turn the mistakes into questions or did u just write them down so when u go through the flashcards u get reminded of the mistake?
it would depend, most of my flashcards were just one word like “insulin” or a transition metal and then its properties - sometimes I would write down for example “nephron questions” on one side and then the other would be “always remember to mention which area in the nephron”. If there’s a specific thing that I’d always forget then I’d do a normal question flashcard with an answer at the back, I hope this makes it more clear!
@ thank you! This is so helpful. Good luck for the future inshallah you’ll do amazing!!❤️💖
Dr. Amina Yonis in the making ☺
Hi do you have any tips on how to prepare for the interview? Thank you
@@Yellowpfp019 hiya! I’d recommend you search up all the different type of questions that you can be asked and what the medical school you’re applying for usually asks - you can find this with a simple search online usually - and then answer all of these questions in a document and practice saying them naturally so you have an idea of how you’d answer them. Also, there’re many playlists on youtube that talk about current ethical issues in the nhs, different aspects of the gmc, and general topics that usually come up in interviews so I’d say watch as many as you can and practice loads with your friends and teachers (e.g., aspiring medic videos are really good!)
@ thank you so much 😊
I'm a medical student. The 2nd year has a laptop ineed to buy an ipad or Samsung plz help Samsung or ipad 🙏
You’d have to look at the specs and what you want from the device! My ipad was really helpful esp since i edit on it but I think samsung tablets are equally as good and have loads of cool features! I’d recommend you watch comparison videos which might help :)
From AFRICA 🎉🎉❤❤LOVE YOUR VLOGS
Thank youu❤️💞
question, why did u choose medicine over various other higher paying jobs, with much lower levels of work etc? What's your reason for doing Med when you could have done something else?
Hey! Hmm I’d say personally I’ve always really loved learning about medicine as a subject which was my main drive. I also didn’t imagine myself in any other jobs like office jobs / finance etc and really liked the idea of being on wards and being able to help patients and aid in humanitarian projects! Plus with the pay it depends on countries as well I’m open to considering practicing in other countries with better pay and work/life balance :))
Hi I wanted to ask this too I am applying to medicine and wondered what made you choose medicine specifically , not because of money, but what do you enjoy about the job? It seems like so many people are quitting medicine and so wanted insight from someone doing the degree now thanks
My fav vlogger...❤🎉 Finally I was waiting for u to post already ala....just love yr videos and as I'm a medical student too ...get inspiration from yuhh❤
