    Brilliant start to finish -- thank you so much. This is a rare addition to TH-cam which is pure value, quality, wisdom, entertainment ...a rare addition to TH-cam which is priceless. ❤❤❤

      @TheRealMindCrime you're most welcome! I really mean it!
      I feel like you just did the modern equivalent of rescuing a crumbling scroll from the depths of antiquity which was hidden beyond the ken of lesser men, then transferred the ancient wisdom faithfully into a huge hand-written leatherbound book (the cool kind with big hinges and a chunky old lock) and then shelved the book in a library for scholars to reverently pore over for centuries to come.
      Not every day one can find new, genuinely rare knowlege on TH-cam which is also highly coveted knowledge. You did something really special...and I'm very grateful!

    This interview was so fun!! I love that he ended on, “I’m going private.” Radio silence. What an icon! Thanks for stepping out of your comfort zone and reading it to us! And yes I would love to hear the Arnie interview 🫡

    Damn, MJ is definitely a league of his own when it comes to interviews and media (unlike Ahem balco). The respect and class is just what makes him a great. Props for Marvin Shanken for the good well-thought out interview.

    That was such a great interview! Great questions. I had no clue that Mike picked up the little white ball so early. Or that he smoked a cigar on his way to every home game lol. Thank you again! Btw, you did great for the reading! I'm the same way. I have a thing about reading to audiences. Speaking is fine, but there's something about reading aloud, and I've been like this since grade school as well. Also, I definitely would watch the Arnold Schwarzenegger interview if you find it :)

      @TheRealMindCrime  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Nice! I think I'll do the Arnold one just for fun here lol. And yeah, I'm a flow type of talker so whenever i have to read something out loud or memorize a speech or something it never comes out naturally lol. I'm all improv 😆

    12:40 so I’m in Deerfield (like the berto center). Yeah, an hour in tight traffic on 90/94. I could see why he wanted something to relax.

    21:25 Jay Williams had that contract stipulation with the bulls. He rode anyway, got in an accident. Never played professionally again.

    Please can you do a video on Michael Jordan's interview with Michael Wilbon before his Hall of Fame induction in 2009? That interview was very insightful and would love to see you cover it.
    Thanks!

    This was fun! I enjoyed hearing his thoughts on the NBA stuff I lost interest when they got to cigars and wine though like meh lol. I totally get what he's saying about his drinking and smoking it's not something that interrupts his life or drives his life he does it as a form of relaxation not my thing but hey more power to him. It's always funny to me when people try to use his gambling as some form of negative like it's legal crap the NBA and sports in general are in bed with these gambling sites. it's not like he's going to Miami every few years to enhance his talents....

    • @TheRealMindCrime
      @TheRealMindCrime  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I know lol. Nowadays gambling is everywhere and its promoted by the nba itself so its so funny how people say jordan was bad because he gambled....make it make sense! 😆

    Fun what if for you: if you could snatch two rookies from their eras (portal style) and plop them in their teams in 2024 (1 from the east and 1 from the west) Who would you plop in the west because we all know the obvious answer for the east is Jordan.
    For me this is difficult because rookie Magic and rookie Kobe would have to play with LeHeretic so I almost dont want to portal a rookie Laker legend to today's Lakers.
    Also do you have a discord or something for these kinds of discussions and topics because I love your takes and your community's takes on Basketball and it would be fun to debate thinga like the rules changes and what ifs and even share little rare NBA Legend trivia facts.

    • @TheRealMindCrime
      @TheRealMindCrime  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Good question! You nailed it with MJ for the east and forvthe west i got a wild one. I would inject mahmoud abdul-rauf back to his nuggets team but right now in 2024. Swap him for Murray. Rauf was a fast paced gunslinger with great handles and would dominate this era. As far as discord. I don't have one but I'm considering it in the future.

      @TheRealMindCrime it is though 😂 when Michael addresses the difference between a passion and an addiction, it feels like an intended pun on Marvin's page since aficionado is often used as a synonym for a person who is passionate about something.
