    Its a shame the modern nba doesn’t cultivate teams well, always blowing them up for big trades. Imagine if they didnt trade for kd, kept the core and still had all their picks for the next 5 years? 😂like im sorry MC it makes no sense. The ability to speak does not make them intelligent

    The “get rid of your bench” also feeds into injuries as you rely more and more on starters. As good as Durant is he’s been injury prone the last few years and that was very predictable.

      Just be honest and say the league doesn't like phoenix suns, they were robbed of a championship in 2007 when the refs rigged the victory for San Antonio Spurs Nash was abused and foul hard and yet it's was the suns key players that were suspended and again In 2021 against the Milwaukee bucks and again rigged. It doesn't matter who the suns get they will always be robbed of a championship against a big market team. All this cheating of fixing games for certain teams is what's causing the rating for the NBA to drop at this point i don't care anymore unless the NBA takes responsibility and fire the dirty refs nothing will change..

    I can kinda get the Durant trade. He’s a unicorn and he’s played on a high level in Finals and Olympics levels.

    I never have understood the trade for Beal. We know he's an excellent scorer.
    But he was good on a bad team. Put Book back at the SG position and bring Beal
    off the bench. Or, preferably you dump Beal for a good defensive SG or a
    pass first point, or even more preferably dump Beal for both of those.
    In my opinion letting Bridges and CP3 go were big oopsies. Water under the
    bridge, though. CP3, Book, Bridges, KD and a bag of dirt at the 5 is a pretty good team.
    But, I reckon it wasn't possible to get KD without giving up everything.
    Probably won't hit bottom until KD retires and Book splits the scene. Sometimes,
    that's what it takes, but it's really painful for longtime fans. And even when you
    hit rock bottom, you STILL have to hit the jackpot in the draft to start the comeback.

    • @TheRealMindCrime
      @TheRealMindCrime  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I don`t know if you remember that when Ayton was drafted by the Suns the media said that Ayton an Marvin Bagley were the #1 an 2 picks. Then the next players were considered a tier down. We see now that Luka should of been the #1 pick now with hindsight. You were right that it was Sam Bowie drafted ahead of Jordan. But when you go back in time, Bowie and Hakeem was considered to be the top picks of that draft. In fact the reason why Bowie went second instead of first was the injury concern. Hakeem was considered talented but raw in comparison to Bowie. Bowie was considered to be the most complete player in terms of talent and skill.

    • @TheRealMindCrime
      @TheRealMindCrime  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      yeah it's nuts looking back but at the time I guess the Ayton thing made sense. We didn't know what a bad attitude and poor work ethic he had yet

    Those trade lines remind me of Jerry Jones trading a 1st, 3rd, and 6th Round pick to the Detroit Lions in 2008 for Roy Williams, a receiver that had only been a Pro Bowl Alternate in 2007.
    Edit to add: The problem with the modern version of basketball where there aren't clear positions and roles like there used to be and you can't just throw guys together and hope they compliment each other because everyone plays the same way. The LeBron and Wade/Bosh/Love problem.

    No trade clauses should be abolished it just doesn't make sense from a business POV. Hypothetically let's say Phoenix got a 3 way trade Beal and a handful of picks (If you guys have any left lol) for Jocic, Giannis and pick your third guy and Beal can be like NOPE and that's it that's just wild to me. I know that is like some 2K trade stuff but you get my point!

    Even in basketball, shopping for a brand name may not necessarily get you the utility that DIY or thrifting does. 😏New cap rules caught both the Wolves and Suns, and even though they're not admitting it, the Celtics (which is why the franchise is up for sale).

    Unless Beal has an emotional attachment to Phoenix idk why he would want to stay there. Kinda seems like he's taking the easy way out by coming off the bench with the type of contract he has. I know he didn't bench himself but what kind of "star" player allows that to happen and NOT demand a trade immediately.

    If Michael Jordan couldn't win championships on his singular talent alone, why do owners think ANYBODY else that comes along could? I don't care how good KD can be, he's not won anything by himself. You should build a team around selfish players who want to work in a system. Having 1, or if you're lucky, 2 star players that are willing to play & lead in a system is much more valuable than a generational talent or "super team." Owners should look for a coach with a system for offense & a defensive scheme, then build your roster into that mold. Instead, we focus on "talented" players & force the coach/roster around them. It makes no sense.

    • @TheRealMindCrime
      @TheRealMindCrime  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      yeah, our owner is a noob so I know he thought it was easy as just buying a championship, but it has to make basketball sense to work and I think that's where he fails.
