    Such a good video, as another person who has been playing for years off and on i 100% agree about information being available when looking at how things are done, it should all be there without 3rd party sites/guides!

    thanks as a new player this helps, i tried an abyssal once and it didn't go well, think i picked one of the harder ones without understanding it and probably the wrong elements etc.
    EVE online is like walking through a minefield, so many times i have lost money or my ship to random unexplained things happening - i once lost like 20m of my isk because i accidently typed my numbers wrong when selling something and got taxed into oblivion is just one example.
    Some missions designed for cruisers are easy peasy then you do another one and its total obliteration, you die instantly without understanding why - its rather inconsistent.

      I'm glad seeing my struggle helped lol. At the very least gave some validation knowing someone else struggles as well.

      @@bucklinfondueYes thanks you- i have some information which might help you - i been doing abys all morning due to this video, i managed to take a destroyer and form a fleet [ by myself ] and with 2 combined tranquil filaments and those are easy to complete with good rewards, Dark filaments are good choices too btw.
      I did however try to do a "calm one" and got blown up right away lol, im about to try a calm filament with a cruiser n see how that goes...

    Nice video mate :) You might want to fit a webifier to slow down the npc ships so your guns can track them better so they do more damage :)

    this will come as a shock to null corp members but the majority of individual players in EVE Online are solo players (and have been for many years, much to hilmar's chagrin) - many having never played in a corp of any sort nor see any need to do so. imagine playing without the bother of corporation concerns, or as many solo players do, viewing null corp players as little more than just a more interesting form of npc's. in the old days, such a revelation would attract dozens of null shills trying to shout it down. now, not so much...

    a quick tip. If you don't have a 'Tracking Speed Script' to put into your tracking computer and you need more tracking, just remove the 'Optimal Range Script' from your tracking computer and trurn it on. without a script it enhances both tracking and range.

      So it doesn't have to have a script?

    I havent played since right after the triglavians were introduced. I miss it. But I wonder what would happen when you type "suspect" into the search bar near your profile pic. If that would be something that it works on.

    I thought when they added instances to eve it would kill it, quit for a year afterwards but came back when i realized its not that bad for the game really, abyssal is not my thing though, dont like not seeing local, or having the time limit, mostly though since i love drones in abyssals ive found the rats wreck drones so fast 😂 i stick to nullsec pve and faction warfare pvp for isk making

      I'm all for it. I died in it, but still think it's good. Every MMO always needs something you can do if you only have a half hour to play.

    • @archersren2226
      @archersren2226 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yeah most of people thought instances will kill the game, you are safe because you are in an instance etc. But abyssal filaments are hard, especially in higher tiers, NPCs can kill you and you'll lose everything. Addition to this there will be an "abyssal trace" on the space which is visible on dscan and people can combat scan it and wait for you to get out. It's not that safe and the income from high tier abyssals is high compared to the most of nullsec content but if you compare this to high class WH farming, well not that great. I still don't understand why people says abyss is killed eve...

    Thank you for the video, but it would be nice if you reconsider the way you're recording your voice for such stuff. Maybe record in mono, or stereo (if you record in more channels), or just reposition your mic. Or just make the recorded audio mono. It's really weird to listen to a voice somewhere from back left for 20 minutes.

      Thanks for the heads up. I had just switched out my mic and since I only listen on a single speaker or headphones, I never noticed.

    Fortunately you do NOT get flagged as a suspect until you do a tier 4 abyssal dead space, tranquil is tier 0.

    • @thermalerosion4556
      @thermalerosion4556 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also, if you do the abyssal sites in a solo frigate or a destroyer, you will get more loot because it scales based on the number of people intended to run the site

    great video! on your last point though: eve is way too complex to explain itself through ingame tutorials. it's a sand box, and it's up to you to figure out how what to do with the sand. as an example, just talking about abyss: i've run about 5000 filaments so far, could probably write a 500 page book just about running abyss in cruisers, and i still learn something new about it almost every time i sit down to run it.
    The reason why you had trouble hitting the small ships in the rooms you ran into is that your ship does not have enough tracking. look up the eve university article on turret mechanics and you will probably agree that it should not be part of the in-game messaging.

    • @bucklinfondue
      @bucklinfondue  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't want a walkthrough. Just a half page thing that says enemies here go roughly this fast, do this type of damage, are this size of ship, you will need to travel roughly this far. Nothing in-depth just the basics. A new player losing a ship and pod in here due to lack of information could be a quit moment for them and anything to fix that is good. Or at least just provide that information for the lower tier.

    • @VaImorian
      @VaImorian 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bucklinfondue The thing with EVE is though that you do need a walkthrough. Ingame can only do so much for you. Going solo in Abysal deadspace is also not really meant for new players. Can you do it? ofcourse but you need to know what youre doing before you go in alone, and the ingame tutorial wont be enough for that, youll need to do research on what enemies you come across and what ship you want to use, maybe the ship you want to use cant handle the Abyss.
      EVE is too big and too complex to not follow guides or tutorials outside the game.

    "The way they want, When they want"
    It's difficult to think of a phrase that does a worse job of describing EVE online... I played for about 10 years and there's ALWAYS something looking to prevent you from doing what you want, if it isn't the glacial skill training system then its some kind of faction/corp standings or other players.
