I love your transformation of this kit. Well done. Some time ago you mentioned possibly doing a video all about different paints and thinners and how to layer them. I'd really love a video like that from you, simply sharing your experience over the years of trial and error. I feel like in theory this is a simple topic but some how it gets so complicated, maybe it's because you could ruin a kit or perhaps it's simple a case of decision fatigue as you weight all the options and opinions. You have a good clear and engaging teaching style and I'd love to see you tackle this sometime.

Trial and error that is all you can do. You think something might work and you find out it doesn't so you go back to the drawing board. I am glad you left this in to show that all of these people on here are not perfect when they build. They make mistakes.

Could you give me a decent starting with the tangibles (physical piece/s) things I can use for grass (and other flora), terrain, altitude change. Any help would be much appreciated.

As someone who also bought a portable airbrush, it is 100% worth the investment. Plus, you spend way longer on kits so you end up spending less cash 😏

I really like the angle that you're hitting on this video. People make all these excuses to not push themselves further, but it's fun pushing your skills in anything out of your comfort zone, even if you fail, you will learn so much. I started gunpla at the same time I started modeling in general, I did a tamiya car first actually, so the next model being a HG it actually made things a lot easier. Patience for letting layers cure and taking your time masking is the key.

What sponge were you using to wipe away the gundam marker?

Wonderful set up bro. Need to optimize mine for efficiency as well. Those drawer organizers are nice. Also, seeing Aladdin on SNES took me back. Lol. I feel the same way, I was a major gamer before gunpla that it feels like I let go of an old me. I still play from time to time, but like before.

Where do you do airbrushing? Will you use a portable spray booth at the desk? Anyhow, great looking setup. I love the asymmetrical look with the ultrawide off to one side. Also, I hope you find a good new home for the CRT. I'd love to have a retro gaming setup like yours.

This makeover turned out so beautiful! The Nanoblock Freezer is such a tasteful addition to the setup 😌 Why on earth are you hiding these beautiful retro consoles in a drawer? 🥹 There must be a more appropriate solution.

A couple months ago, I also made a dedicated hobby space. It's an old card table that used to just be piled with junk. It's deep enough to hold some plastic drawers while still leaving me plenty of space for building. Acrylic nail polish stands are perfect for storing small, Vallejo paint bottles. The set up isn't perfect, but it's much better than what I used to work with.

I think it turned out great! If you don't like the tone of the wash, you could have used a lighter colour like sand to give more contrast to the chips👍
