    For resin casting with details, you can open the mold and brush on a thin layer of resin to get into the cracks and crevasses and cure that. Build up in layers and then fill. 3D printing anti yellowing resins works well and it's cheap. 3D resin is also less viscus and great for fine details.

      That is such a great tip. I will keep that in mind. Building up the layers with a brush, so good! Thanks man, very much appreciated!

    Nice documentation on your hobby. I cut off and bin my large pieces and leave the tiny ones on the runners because they are easy to loose. If I bag tiny parts, I will use a small zip lock bag for those. V-fins I would tape that to a scrap runner so it won't break. I will use a sharpie and write the numbers on the back of the parts if needed. It can be wiped off with alcohol. I usually build multiple kits at a time, I bag the parts in zip lock bags and put them back in the box.

      Hey, those are great tips. What do you do with painted parts though? Putting them together in zip bags would cause scratches, no?

    Remember, sometimes all a loose joint needs to get the added friction to hold it together, is a generous shot of clear coat.

    • @GiantRobolove
      @GiantRobolove  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha yes, for some reason I always forget about that particular trait of top coat. Thanks for the reminder!

    5:11 That's what i've been doing, too. I cut all the parts from the runners and put them in labelled compartments from Allit Sortimentskästen.
    When i'm finished renovating my new place i'll probably put up something wallmounted.
    Edit: Great idea and an awesome job!

      I was contemplating that for the outer parts because I'm still undecided if I want to weather this kit or not. But yeah, I definitely should have done that for the inner parts.

    • @GiantRobolove
      @GiantRobolove  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't have the package of the LEDs anymore, but basically those were decoration LED strips with small LED units. As for the wires: 2,6mm diameter. Just look for ones that are very thin, because you won't have a lot of room to squeeze them in. Batteries are just normal AA batteries. I'll talk more about the electronics in the follow up video.
