I have both, a Fatboy screamin' 110 and a Victory 106; the Fatboy is way a better sled in almost every aspect, my fave!, the Fatboy has more horsepower but the Victory feels like it has more torque, ride on!

Any tips for good shocks for a lowered ultra. I put on progressives and they are to stiff. They also don't handle any real dips in the road without jolting my spine and neck

I have a 2011 Hammer 8ball that I got new, love her but she isn’t made for long trips. Seriously considering a XC Tour because while I would love to grab a new Challenger, the price just isn’t in the budget. Back during the Victory demo days where the semi would pull up with all the models, I would go ride every one. I felt very comfortable on the Cross Country and wouldn’t mind having one in the garage.

I know this is an older video but I really want mid controls on my Victory.....kingpin, I know I know but like you if i want my legs out on highway, there is engine guard. who did your work on the putting the mids in and, where did you find them because there are none on ebay, witchdoctors or anyplace else ive looked. Thanks in advance if you get to this, I love your bike wish i could have waited to buy one before i got the kingpin.

Look at how much money you have to fork up to just compare to the Victory's power, torque, and handle ability. But ppl still believe HD is the superior bike, lol!

Those mid controls are terribly hard to find. I'm a huge fan of mids especially when I bought the Vegas. They're just more comfortable for me because it helps prevent that cruiser clam shell, rounded lower back ache.

Looks like some how it has Buell turn signals.

In my opinion,Polaris should have kept producing Victory motorcycles along side of Indian, Victory had much better styling.

Anything Victory brings a lot of nostalgia for me. As good as the Goldwing is, its nowhere near as cool and raw as riding the XC was, I miss that bike. Luckily I do most of my riding off-road now, so I don't have to miss it too much. 😉

Hello, I´m a proud owner of a Road King Special 23 and I´m looking at seat reviews for the last 3 months without being able to decide (apart from the fact that in Europe you don´t have the chance to test seats before buying, so I really have to make sure thru reviews that TH-camrs are honest). I´m 6´1¨ and weight around 240 pounds. I have the stock seat with the Harley backrest mounted on the frame and the main reasons for upgrading are two: After around 2 hours butt starts hurting (must be the soft foam going flat) and I feel my legs are like 1 inch or inch and a half too much up front (tip of the right foot goes under the break pedal even with extended reach pedal). My doubt is .... should i get the daddy long legs or the normal reach seat?

I installed crash bars and 2 days later... they were tested ;-) If you mount your lights the way they extend beyond the bars, you will be 500$ down if you drop your bike (ok, maybe 1/2 of that as only 1 light will be damaged)

Why ride when you can walk faster .

As for wind management fixed fairings are generally better at wind management. However it is easy to correct on the Victory by putting on the Witchdoctors fork wind deflectors. Then I put chaps on the engine guards and you are in for a very smooth wind wise ride. I have that same Havasu Red 2014 Cross Country, expect for chrome tri flow pipes. I compare mine to the Harley Street glides and the Street Glides are much more cramped for my near 6 foot height. To get an extra 25 or more horse power is achieved by cams, mine are 501s, and then Lloyds air filter, ande then an ECU Maximus tune and now at 115 hp and 115 torque. The Victory is less top heavy and extremely nimble with a superior suspension, and definitely more trouble free. In all its years I have only done normal maintenance, and oil changes cost 30 to 35 dollars. A lot of the Victory DNA went into the Indian Challenger and Pursuit and those are the only bikes that would get me out of my Victory. That said by what you like.

Like the looks,but I will never trust or own another Harley. I had 3. I bought a new 650 Suzuki Vstrom in 2009 and rode it for 87 thousand miles with NO problems. Then I bought a new 2019 Suzuki Vstrom 1000xt adventure. I have approximately 40 thousand miles on it with NO problems. These bikes are in a league way above Harley. I recommend you never ride one because you will be extremely disappointed. Appreciate your honest review.

Yo, one more thing,Raylon, who owns the Vic Shop in Iowa does a rebuild on the fuel pumps on victories. They are better than new and he warranties them. Send them in and he’ll send them back better than new. I think theyre a couple hundred bucks now akt 101,000 I replaced mine although my stock one was still working, but I thought since I got a pull it out to do a fuel filter I might as well put a pump in, Ride on.

Id put that fender back on . Front tire debris will beat the heck outta the motor and oil cooler. Yeah the day vic shut down . Bummer. Although , I first saw the 108 Persuit motor on a Cross bike. Ive only got a 107k on my cross country. Its in for new tires brakes and bearings as we speak . I do bearings every 40 k. But a new Persuit is probably in my future. Its a Victory disguised as a Roadglide. But under the cosmetics , its the same bike! Ride well and ride on!🍻

T isn't torque, it's traction control. 😅 P is power, i.e. torque.

Vented dipsticks may or may not solve problems, but the biggest problem is the constant 'over-filling' of oil tanks. When your bike's engine is running there is oil everywhere inside it, when the engine is stopped all that oil runs down into the crank and cam compartments - it can totall about a quart of oil. When you fill up the oiltank to the 'full' mark on the dipstick is when YOU create the problem especially, A, if you check the level when the engine is cold as oil expands when hot, and B, if you fill the tank whilst the bike is on the jiffy stand as that will give a false reading. When the bike is started, the return side of the oilpump will send the oil in the engine back to the tank and there is no room as you have overfilled the tank !!! Also, when the engine is running and bike is being ridden, the bike is upright so the incorrect reading that you filled the oil level upto is now even more overfilled.... check you bike's oil level when the engine is hot, stop the engine from running but keep the bike vertically upright as that'll give you an accurate dipstick reading. Remember that there is still upto a quart of oil in the engine so you need to leave the level on the dipstick about a half way between the 'full' and 'add oil' marks on the dipstick. So boys and girls, all you read in Harley manuals about checking the level on the jiffy stand BEFORE a run is W-R-O-N-G...... look at the old brit bike's oil tanks, all they had was a minimum level line on the outside of the tank which is quite low down so as to allow enough room in the tank for the oil evacuated from the engine by the pump when it is hot AND upright.... This info brought to you by a 65 year old biker with 50 years of experience.... not some know nothing twat who wrote the rider's manual !

Just seeing this video. I have a 2013 Victory Vision Tour,,,Love It! Where did you get the smoked windshield? WitchDoctors doesn’t show one. Would like to swap mine out. Great videos,,,,both. Nothing rides like a Victory.
