I just bought some roxel rx310 stereo and hd headphones with powerful bass, but that's an understatement and they're way to bassy, punchy, and too loud. They're a bit higher quality headphones but they went overboard with the sound a bit no doubt. I've devised a configuration for stereo headphones that will make them sound like a pair of sony headphones. It will work with any media tv shows, movies, music, and games while still getting enough intense bass without killing your eardrums. It should work for most headphones just adjust it when needed. Made at 100% volume. Mixer volume 50% - 62%. Adjust the volume when needed this is set for my overly loud headphones. Balance the mixer volume with your computer volume by setting it to the same number e.g 50% mixer and 50% computer volume. You may need to turn it down on a video or certain aspects in a game though. To get your computer volume working click to automatically set to default in the orange bar in the mixer window and sonar will usually choose gaming as the default but it'll set any output you select in windows sound settings to default. Then go to the bottom of sound settings and click "more sound settings" and set your computer's audio device e.g "speakers realtek audio" to default. Sonar will then switch the output back to the steelseries sonar gaming output but your computer volume will now work. First i started out with a new Flat configuration and then adjusted it mainly keeping the frequency the same i simply adjusted the db on each dot. Sub Bass. Purple Dot: gain 5.0 db. frequency 36.4 hz. peaking eq 0.707. Bass. Blue Dot: gain -2 to -4.0 db. frequency 120.0 hz. peaking eq 0.707. Set the bass box under the equalizer to 3.0 db this is for how much muffle you want on your bass. The blue dot in the equalizer is the overall bass level. Any older music like from the 1950s and 1960s or with two ear channels such as simon & garfunkel you may want less of an overall bass level if it sounds too harsh, the same with any music with loud acoustic and strong electronic sounds and bass. Low Mids. Light Orange Dot: gain -4.0 db. frequency 339.8 hz. peaking eq 0.707. Click on the white line somewhere past the faint line under low mids in the equalizer to add a point and adjust the low mids. Mid Range. Pink Dot: gain 5.0 db. frequency 1000.0 hz. peaking eq 0.707. Upper Mids. Red Dot: gain 8.0 db. frequency 6.00 khz. peaking eq 0.707. Highs. Dark Orange Dot: gain 6.0 db. frequency 18.00 khz. peaking eq 0.707. Under the equalizer set the voice to 2.0 db. Spatial Audio: immersion -6.0. closeness 80. You may want to turn spatial audio off if listening to something with two channels. The path of exile game configuration is pretty good though but i think their configurations need working on because that's the only one i've found that works well enough. Or rainbow six siege by ubisoft that's pretty decent but the not as great spatial sound but some people like it for certain games to hear footsteps from far away. You will need to adjust the bass levels in the equalizer a bit along with the mixer volume.

I use the best controllers and one of the best headsets the steel series but I always hear an echo and other players say the game volume from me is too load is it just when other people have crappy headsets ?

In software settings for the drop downs, i only see arctis nova pro wireless. i no longer see the "chat" or gaming option

mine does not have the Steelserie Chat in the Sonar option only it has Headphones Arctis Headphones for game and for chat.

Ur such a troll dude i bought a new series 2 elite and a 250 dollar headset if i put my headset audio low it dissappears or turn off my mic but then i cant hear the game

very good video, but i will say your settings for media are kinda bad at least with my iems (specifically turning on spatial audio sucks), they wash out the audio really bad

I have people that say it’s my headset even tho I have a Corsair hs50 pro and an Xbox adaptor to plug into the controller I can hear through peoples mic that not in party chat lol never had problems but only with others they say it’s mine but I have brand new controller the Xbox elite series 2 so how can I fix this I’ve never had issues with it. It they say it’s mine just certain people in a party

whenever I talk to my people in the game via Discord, he is silent during the time when people are talking and it doesn't matter who is playing the game with me. But as soon as nobody says anything, I hear the in-game sound. Is this due to the headset or Windows? Thanks in advance

I have an elite series 2 and it’s up to date. Will reducing other sounds by 50% lower game volume drastically so I can’t hear enemies coming?

You cant fix Echo on fortnight. Give it up trying. Until Epic fixes there chat BS, no matter what your settings are you will have echo at some point. From your self or another person your playing with. and for those who say they dont well you get my point!

My headset doesn't show up on the software setup part for some reason, it only says Headphones RealTek (R) Audio. I own the Arctis 7P+ Set up your settings though so gonna try them out tomorrow.
