I've spent hours... HOURS... on this issue. Following at least a dozen other articles, posts, threads and videos.... NO LUCK... My soul was beginning to break, and just as I thought all was lost... When I thought there was no hope... In my darkest hour... I found this video. Please accept my most humble and sincere THANKS for this fix. Worked first try and without, clearing my cache, resetting the app, resetting my PC, doing a repair install of Windows 10! My long search is over, I can finally rest! I never dreamed that my solution this whole time was 3 clicks away... Thank you, you have brought peace to my life once again and I cannot express the sense of utter contentness that I am feeling at this very moment. Man thank you so much ! You’re literally the only person that fixed this you’d think they would fix the damn Microsoft store ! What the hell are the devs doing ? How hard is it to add a drive selection in app
I know this has nothing to with the video but every time I try to edit any halo 2 campaign level with assembly it won't work it kicks me out. I even decompressed some of the maps and all that does is basically tell me fatel error or ue4 something don't know.
yo, so my issue is weird. ive reset the store, uninstalled, signed out, everything. so when i open the xbox app or microsoft store and click the "X" to cancel my download of MCC it will not clear. it just TRIES to cancel and errors out. it instantly starts trying to redownload the game and is stuck in an error loop. Same situation in both apps. now im at a piont where i cant even use this video because the game wont stop trying to install itself. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much, had no idea that xbox app even existed lol. Really nice to be able to choose where games are installed at download and not have to move them between drives after installing. Was a massive headache trying to use games pass through the microsoft store
doing all what? its one thing u had to install. the xbox app. if you think that's a lot of work maybe pc isnt for you my guy. best advice i can give you if you think that's a lot, switch to xbox and save yourself the stress.

You need to google “instal won't cancel windows store” and follow the steps to cancel the download then try this video again
i got the download working on the xbox app but it does not show up on my Microsoft store that it is downloading. is that fine?
yes that is fine, it wont show in the windows store for everyone just in the Xbox App
