Awesome mod job, Even my wife was like, "NOPE, couldn't handle that while trying to sleep" lol Gonna pass on the RG35XXSP myself, I have yet to perform a similar mod on my black Powkiddy V90. =)

Thought I'd give the RG35XXSP a try despite the clicky and heavy buttons but these mods would fix it. Nope, not for me. Even if the travel distance is reduced they still feel so heavy... So using them for spammy games it just shakes all over and is really tiring after a while. Hope that Miyoo's take will be different.

If my console *a rescue I revived is already moded, will this work?

Mine came without the rattle. Maybe they fixed it, or I just got lucky...

I honestly don't feel the need buttons feel fine to me and I never feel the need to shake my SP like a rattle muos was my only change I made waiting for an SP update which I hear is coming soon. I still appreciate the video for those who are not happy with there stock SP 😊

The SP i got from amazon came with little felt pads on the L/R triggers, volume, and power. The one i got directly from anbernic didn't and is more noisy. I use felt on the L2 and R2 buttons, it decreased the travel a bit and doesn't rattle. The felt I use is the one just like what they put on 3d printed grips for my miyoo, its like a thin felt sheet. I will try electric tape on the dpad and buttons. BTW i also put felt on my RP3+ R2/L2 dome buttons as well, decreases travel and lessens noise. Thank you.

2 layers on everything for me including the shoulder buttons. Used IPG masking tape instead of M3. They are little bit thicker and softer. The device is silent when shaking.

Great video. I actually like the clickiness and feel of the buttons. Maybe not so much the Start and Select buttons but I can deal with it. The shoulder buttons rattling doesn't bother me either because at no point do I feel the need to shake this device for any reason. 😂

Playing with a clicky button is a nightmare, especially if you are playing games like super metriod. My experience with metriod Zero Mission was not comfortable with GBA sp after 1 hour. My thumbs started hurting me. Now im curious if you can do super metroid wall jumps with this device 🤣🤣🤣

Might have to give this a go. The bumpers are insanely jiggly on mine, as well as the buttons being rather clacky. Do you find the face buttons / d-pad easier to press with this mod?

its actually a 1.5mm hex bit! many t6 bits will fit but its not correct and can strip the screws

Only video that showed me how to do the N64 button mapping. Can N64 C buttons be mapped to holding Y button and pressing direction on dpad, how would this be done?

Knulli ftw. I am brand new to the "SP" but by far the most feature complete! Wifi (and distro updates!), Retro achievements, custom retroarch config in a sane way, nerdy ssh/smb/syncthing (backup your saves!) greatness. Personally any wifi lacking distro is a no-go for me, I constantly tinker and upload roms via cli. But the batocera base is a beaut.

Anyone reading this… trust me. The OS called Knulli is way more seamless and polished currently compared to MUOS. muOS is amazing BUT for a way better experience I strongly recommend KNULLI OS instead. Thank me later -Waffa

Hey, Coulter! I have a question. I ordered mine with the included 128gb Sd cars that has more games on it. Would that be the card I used to install muOS? Also, when doing so, would it delete everything off of it?

Amazing guide. but I have a little bit of a different problem. I'm using unleashx and I'm trying to extract the hidden Panzer Dragoon original game from Panzer Dragoon Orta but every time I copy it to a new folder it doesn't show up on the games menu screen with all my other games, but it does show up on the file explorer. Is there certain files that need to be in that Panzer dragoon file folder? This is happening with all the hidden games I try to put in there own file folder. Please help if you can 😅😅

I like the video in general but you fast forward through a lot of the specifics and don't explain them (like where to remap folders, how to remap for standalone, etc.)

This is already waaaaay too complicated for avg joe.

I got the tweaked version of the stock OS after watching a RGC video, and honestly it fixed my only issues with the device. I don't know if all of these custom firmwares are all that necessary for this one. Not that they aren't cool nonetheless.
