What I consider to be proper road racing videos with good information for those looking to learn.
I began riding road bikes in 2016 with NJ MiniGP from there I moved into CCS in 2017 winning 8 championships in my rookie year. In 2018 I raced as an expert in CCS winning multiple races as well as making my professional debut in just my third season riding road bikes. I raced at Pittsburgh and New Jersey Motorsports Park Motoamerica rounds with a best finish of 4th at Pitt and 5th at NJMP after setting pole by nearly a second. In 2019 I continued to race CCS in the northeast and did one round of Motoamerica at NJMP but unfortunately had a mechanical issue that resulted in a DNF after qualifying 8th.
I have since continued to race just less and less frequently. Many years of working in the industry at places such as Fast by Ferraci, HSBK Racing, Ducati NYC, and as a mechanic at Metric Devil Moto has given me a ton of insight into the world of road racing.

Awesome vidoes man! Keep them coming! These help me get through the winter time lol.
I've had so many streetbikes i've lost count including several literbikes, but none of them were as fun as my two SV650s. You can ride them all out all the time, instead of having to hold back the power. I might get another soon.
Great name
Great Vid and team spirit 👍
Rewatching this. I have a 2024 SV650. You obviously know this bike. What would be the best upgrade for my bike (using only new components) for about $1,500? Thanks!
Awesome man. Looks like a fun time for sure
Solid little bike, really enjoyed it.
cool video!
Thanks!
you’re doing well if you’re lapping 600cc I4s, stay on the SV, get an ignition advancer, and give ‘em hell. Once you put in a season or two, hop on a faster frame that lets you stay in that class, you’ll go from being as frustrated as can be, to points leader if you can make all of the races.
The SV at the time of this filming had cams, power commander, a cut air box ETC. The bike is more than set up and this suspension took me to a pole position with Moto America. I think I know the limits of the SV chassis. This exact setup has won me 10+ regional championships and hundreds of race wins.
the transition point isn’t necessarily the point where you begin your drive or full throttle while the engine RPM’s are approaching or within the power band “launch” acceleration, it’s usually (depending upon proximity to other riders) the point where your maximum physical limit of speed for the racing line taken in a particular turn is also the slowest rate during the turn and almost always the same point where the most acute steering change occurs. The other variable here being the racing surface, the only condition that remains constant is the pavement camber, shape, and orientation, be it dead on level or horizontal, __ pitched to the inside or banked, and the amount of that let’s start with a left turn, and the banking angle, in NASCAR direction is at it’s most extreme or maximum degrees of lateral pitch the highest side on the right and the surface is cupped upward, or concave, and it’s shape becomes increasingly exaggerated to the right may have 3° to the inside left, and 10x more angle 2/3 of the width to the right 30° and then at right near the wall close to perpendicular which is why the safety fence seemingly curves inward toward the track center but the top is literally facing downward, these variations in track configurations dictate the optimal procedure to reduce lap times, (blasting through turn one may require an earlier braking point for turn 2, which kills your drive out and reduces your speed entering turn 3 to the point where you are itching to get passed, the transition from most NASCAR Ovals to the infield road racing courses involves a sharp >~< dip at the optimal point for maximum steering input, but if you don’t reduce your speed to address the 120° grade change at full lean, hope you bring spare pegs and foot controls
Are you uding stock size tyers ? ...i oen a sv650 2008
190 rear tire with a GSXR rear wheel conversion.
are you still running a 160 rear or did you go 180?
Now it is a 190. The bigger rear makes the bike feel more planted on corner entry IMO
What was your suspension setup on this bike during this race?
Penske double clicker shock and AK-20 cartridges in stock forks. Tuned and build by MDM (Metric Devil Moto)
Awesome! Are you able to pass in the corners because you are a better rider and/or because the SV is better in corners than the other bikes?
Riding the wheels off the bike. 600s have better chassis and are capable of more corner speed IMO
I wonder how well a SV1000 would do.
Not well, those bikes are heavy and suffer from poor geometry
Stock size rear and front tire?
Rear was a 180 on this video on a GSXR wheel. I now run the 190s from Pirelli, it’s tight but they fit
No way that lap timer is coming off.
Wasn’t risking it!
Rippin
Geez Man !! You were REELING ‘EM IN 😎👍🏼
Sweet vid!
Awesome Video!!! keep them coming!
HE IS BACK
hi, there are any difference for the ingection sv650? i have to star with a new project with like track/hard road legal bike
The are fuel injected, mine has bored out throttle bodies tuned through a power commander 5.
@@tylerhumphreys5312 how many mm?
@@snayke8503 I really do not know, I had Zoran at TWF racing do it
SV650 vs the world!
why does every track bike pov disable their speedometer?
On this bike it’s because the speedo is a spacer on the front wheel. Removing it simplifies the front wheel changes. Also, you don’t need a speedo on track
Great racing, dude. What kind of suspension work is needed for this?
This bike has AK-20 cartridges and a Penske double clicker shock
@@tylerhumphreys5312 That’s cool. It looks like it’s on rails.
That was just great to be involved with through my PC screen. I absolutely love my old gen 1 SV and to see an SV leaving 600s behind makes me smile. I've been riding 650 twins for 53 years and 2 years ago I brought my first Suzuki SV 650 and it's blown my mind. What a fantastic motorcycle that just loves passing big sports bikes through the bends. So easy to ride fast and it never feels like it wont do exactly what's asked of it. The way you ride your SV against those 600 4s is a real pleasure to see and I'm so glad that you put this video up. Thanks for showing us what a well sorted little Suzuki "V" twin can do in the right hands. Just brilliant!
Hi ! did you cut weight on your bike ?
A ton, lots of removed part and titanium hardware
Amazing stuff. I'd be interested to know how much power that SV motor is producing!
This one was no more than 80
Just bought a brand new SV. Stoked!
Hell of a bike Hell of a rider
absolutely love my 23 sv650 xo
Awesome video! On city streets I enjoy the torque of a V-twin much more than an inline. It’s 2024 and I’m riding a 2003 SV1000s. It’s a blast in the city once you get used to riding a 1000cc V-twin sport bike in those conditions. I rode a ‘99 SV650 back in the early 2000s. The “trick” on the SV1000 compared to the 650 is spending most of your time between 4K and 6K, or higher gears for lower RPMs. It pulls really hard in that range and allows you to be prepared for anything. The 650 is probably better for city riding for most people I would think.
the level of control this kid's got is amazing..... especially when he got wobbly coming in hot on that turn, my dude is a mini-marquez!
chill but informative narration and great riding! sub'd
That SV V-twin motor just sounds awesome.
I have much Respect for you AWESOME video!
Super impressed with your ride on the little bike!)
Time for a GSXR fork swap!!! I put ZX6R forks and ZX14 brakes on my Ninja 650 and the braking is amazing. Only limitations now is the meatbag in the saddle. Great riding dude!
I prefer the stock front end with aftermarket internals myself!
If you have to choose skill beats horspower any 😊day of the week.
Were you running the stock 160 in the rear or 180?
180
Watch me out man
Hey everyone I got some information to pass through all about @tylerhumphreys
Sweet Video bro, Does the SV lean faster/better than a 600?
The chassis on a 600 is better. Arguably other than a slight weight advantage the SV brings nothing to the table
I live by there
I tried my girl's track SV650 a while ago. Except for the low rev limiter compared to my R1 and endless shifting (luckily she had a quickshifter) it handles quite well. I never thought i would have as much fun on that back as I did!
What quickshifter does she have if you don’t mind me asking?
@@twowheelhooligan6821 a quickshifter from a company called HM
Thanks
Nice job man! I was tracking my 10R but decided to build an R6 to race, at 44 years old it not worth the added risk racing unlimited class.
On a tight track with lots of curves and not much for straightaways, the SV is a beast.
I’m going to have to check out those titanium bolts for my 02! And you’re so right, the AK20’s from Traxxion are worth every penny.
Nice Shooting👌 Greetz from another 75Hp Rider✌🙂
