Awe thank you! ♥️
A very refreshing video!Wish I was there
Beautiful shots
Thank you ♥️
Well done. I felt I was right there, even felt itchy! Love to Venus. I will watch for you.
Awe thank you 😊
I used to canoe camp in Algonquin, it is a magical place.
At 3:49 I thought that was a huge snake for a quick second. Hahaha
💜💜 You’re such a Joy! Love watching you.
Awe! Thanks a bunch! ♥️
Watching for awhile now good job....
Thank you ♥️
Done the trip over 50 times during 2019 and 2020 with my buddy catch and release fishing. It's well worth the trip for a measly 81m portage especially if you're staying overnight. An extra 5-10 minutes to be on a lake less trodden will always be worth it. This double portage is without a doubt the best one to take if you're planning a portage trip for kids, seniors, beginners etc. Last thing you want to do is be kilometers deep in Algonquin Park with someone who isn't ready for it.
I've been to that park a few times, the first time I went there i camped on Big Salmon Lake, although that was so long ago I don't remember it. The past few times I've gone I went to the west side of the park, so that's the area I know a little bit. It's hard work when you can't drive to your campsite, when you have to either paddle or hike to it, but that's part of the fun, you have to really plan what to bring because you have to carry it. I load up my kayak, piled high with all my gear, with bungy chords holding everything in place, and hope I don't tip. That park is full of poison Ivy, it's everywhere, you really got to watch what you're doing, and don't go walking around in the dark, I got it so bad one year I had to go to the hospital. There's lots of nice hiking trails in that park. I'll probably visit it again sometime this summer.
Thank you for the poison ivy warning. I would like to go back as well. It’s the park closest to my home, I’ve only been once. So much to explore there. 💛
Beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. sub & 👍32
Thank you ♥️
I really enjoyed watching this, thank you for taking us along, beautiful scenery and great get away, following and like 32
Thank you so much! ♥️
My fav girl❤❤
I enjoyed that very much. You captured well the power these trips can have - I could feel the stress melting away just watching. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!! That means a lot 😊
Hey, we’re going to be backcountry camping with the kiddos this summer on Canisbay Lake and wondering what site number this is. Looks like a family friendly spot.
Hi there! The sites aren’t numbered, but it’s the closest site to the launch point on the left. It’s a great site! Enjoy!! ♥️
If I was in that setting, all I’d want to do is relax in a hammock too! Don’t blame you for not wanting to do much else lol. Thanks for sharing your stay at this beautiful spot!
Haha!! Thanks!! 😊
❤❤❤
Enjoyed your adventure! Venus snoring, such a cutie pie😊😅. We did Sucker Lake 3 weeks ago, snow flurries and -5 but this place is worth it. Thanks for sharing your trip!❤
Thank you!! That still sounds like an awesome time!! Glad you enjoyed! ♥️
Awesome, thanks for sharing! We're doing this in 2 weeks.
Exciting!! Enjoy!! 🏕️
Your content is amazing but the views are very low
❤❤❤
This sounds and looks absolutely beautiful my friend! 👏👏
Thank you! ♥️
Great video of Presqu’ile!
I highly recommend you drink that nitro stout in a glass/open vessel next time. Shake the can prior to doing a heavy pour. It is phenomenal. Thank you for your winter camping too! It’s next on my list, but it’s a huge jump in preparation!
I saw that it said to ‘shake before opening’. I’ve never seen that before and couldn’t bring myself to do it! lol i will try shaking it next time now! Must try winter camping! It’s honestly my favorite time to go - and unfortunately my busiest time of year.
BTW, you were camping in the crown land?
No I booked through Ontario Parks.
I went there a couple of weeks ago, the lake water is as dark as soy sauce, will it be cleaner in summer time?
I found the water clear in the summer, but I think it’s quite deep in a lot of areas. Were you camping there?
Thanks for prompt reply! The dark water could happen only in the winter time@@Camp_the_woods
Been a while since I was there. Nice spot. It's nice to snowshoe after a fresh snowfall. Early morning or at sunset the deer come out looking for carrots lol.
That’s awesome!! I’ll definitely be going back soon!!
💜💜
Nice, relaxing trip, Meagan. That breakfast looked so good, with those eggs cooked to perfection 😍 Thanks for taking us along ✌️.
Enjoyed the video. What site where you at? My son and I will be up there hot tent camping in Dec right before Christmas! Can’t wait. They shut down the non electric campsites so we got moved to 61 from 112. Have you been around site 61 in the hydro campground?
Hi there! I was at site 81.. normally I book I site up on the other side of the lake as there is no traffic noise. I wanted a change. The site I was just as can be seen from highway 60, so you do get some traffic noise, but it’s not very busy and dead at night. I haven’t parked at the electric sites at all. I hope you have a wonderful time!!
Nice trip 😊
We were here in mid October! Had a rainy weekend but it cleared up at night and the stars were amazing :)
❤❤❤
New subscribers! Hello fellow Ontarian! Really love your logo!
Hellooo!! :) thank you! And welcome! :)
Thanks for sharing this location I definitely check it out ☺️
Hi! I love all your videos. I'm in SW Ontario so you give me ideas of where to canoe and camp 😊 How do you like the Esker 9x9? I heard it can be tricky to put up solo. Is it big enough for 2 people. Usually it's me and my dog (who's a little bigger than Venus 💕) but very occasionally 2 people. Just trying to decide between this and the 10 x 10 Fox so would appreciate your thoughts. Thank you! Sorry you can't get out again for a while 😞
Thank you so much for the compliment! Honestly if you can, I would go for the 10x10. It would be tight with two people and a dog in the 9x9 - not impossible but the 10x10 would be the best fit. 9x9 is best solo. It can be hard setting up on your own sometimes, so worth it though - trees are your best ‘support’ lol let me know what you decide, and maybe I’ll see you out there! ❤️
Thank you so much! This is VERY helpful. I hope we do cross paths one day! I'd recognize Venus 😃 Pretty sure I have the same boat as you but with a canoe seat, and a little brown dog 😆
My son and I are heading up to hot tent camp at Mew Lake in Nov and Dec. we love it. Don’t see to many women winter camping so good for you. Ps love your dog!
Have a great time!!! ❤️
Venus chewing her bone at the beginning is such a treat. lol Always enjoy your video, so much good information and beautiful views :)
Thank you so much!
just watched the video....we had to cancel out on our trip to Sucker this year and hope to get there next year. have you ever tried the Haliburton Water Trails system. some nice lakes to explore in that park
I have camped there once.. it’s beautiful too! Very ‘wild’ there!
What a wonderful trip! Love your videos! And Venus is such a doll!
Thank you! ❤️
I really enjoyed this video---the colours are amazing! Just wondering if you could provide a link for the green wool blanket you mentioned you got on Amazon. Thanks!

Amazing scenery, camerawork and editing. What camera are you using?
Thank you! I film everything with my iPhone pro max.
Just discovered Shall Lake access #17 amazing.Heading up for my 3rd trip this year tomorrow on Crotch lake. 26 km logging road is no problem for small cars.
Looks like a gorgeous spot!! Thanks for sharing 🪓🔥🎣🛶
beautiful park. I used to go all the time but I just dont like the clusters. Im going camping solo with my dog to get away from people not be right beside them. Sometimes on both sides. Any way havent been in must be 10 years. Alot of people saying theres a huge tick problem there. Any experience with that
I totally agree with wanting seclusion. Whole purpose lol I’ve only been to that park the once, but would like to try some other lakes. It’s always booked when I look and I really seem to gravitate towards Algonquin or Kawartha Highlands - hard to beat! As for the ticks .. I did have one crawling on me when I was sitting in my camp chair by the water.
What time did you get out there?
I got to the site around 4pm or so ☺️
Subbed!
beautiful spot. I got to know it from the Couples Resort side a few yeas back.
Happy Birthday!!
Thank you!!
Hey luv. Happy birthday.
Thank you!!!!!! ❤️ hope you are well!! It’s been awhile!
