U.S 20K National Championships | Taking Risks
The U.S. 20K National Championship gathers top talent from all 50 states in New Haven, Connecticut, where they compete for the title of National Champion.
This was my first time racing at the U.S. 20K National Championship and my second appearance on the U.S. road racing circuit. My debut came in March, just after the U.S. Marathon Trials, when I raced many of the same competitors in a 15K and finished 12th.
The U.S. Road Circuit is a series of races ranging from the mile to 25K. To earn a ranking, you need to compete in at least three races, and only the top 10 finishers score points toward your overall ranking.

do u like live paycheck to paycheck justt to focus on running and are hoping to make it big a score a contract/salary with a major company to make it your ultimate career? is that your hope? or do you have like money and savings already so you dont really need to work a full time job and thats how ur able to run at an elite level and prioritize training it seems? i find it very interested to watch videos of high level runners who aren't actually on a typical contract or sponsor with decent $ so i wonder how you do it. do you just make running a bigger priority than having a job/stability? or are you balancing both and you also have a career and do work full time in a normal job??
I do not live paycheck to paycheck. I live way under my means. I have a job that pays decent and live with roommates. My job is very flexible with my training but it can be difficult once a month. I work for a racing company and we host road races so I have to work those events on race weeks. So I plan my races carefully around my work schedule. I can make a more in depth video about it sometime soon

Hey Habs I love your stuff, just have a question from someone trying to break out as a runner, I can run fast decent workouts @4:50 pace for intervals and 5:20 for longer stuff with 80 mile weeks but my 8k-10k races are just so slow(just ran 26:30😪) any tips for improvement?
