Catholics need to back away from politics. And focus on the risen Christ. The Risen Jesus that overcame crucifixion. One issue this American has learned serving as a grunt in Vietnam almost 60 years ago. Having visited mostly and not as a tourist 40 some nations. Suffering through the 60s riots concerning race. Stuck in an isolation ward with other wounded Marines, and Navy Corpsman. When MLK, and RFK were slain! I’ve seen the slow decline of the “ global apostolic sacramental” Catholic influence. The Catholic Church in the United States has morphed into separate Christian church then its Latin global Roman Church. The US Catholic Church shares very little with traditional Catholic values. More and more US Catholics have become radical extremist evangelical Christian. It’s not Catholic anymore. Traditionalists claimed that they want to be traditional and go back to the Latin mass. If these people really want to be traditional in mass why don’t they go back to the liturgy and the rite that looked more like the byzantine rite we see in Greece today in Saint Patrick’s time. It is time to stop thinking politics and focusing on the risen Christ. Catholics need to hear what Christ told his disciples who asked where he was for 3 days. He told his disciples that he has spent three days “in the place of the dead announcing the good news”. None of these dead were Christian. We RC need to back away from politics. And focus on the risen Jesus Christ. .

There are some Supreme Court justices who claim to be Catholic, but they ignore the pope and they support a former president who actually wants to overturn the constitution. The Supreme Court and many of these so-called Catholic justices recently said that president can be immune from being held responsible for their crimes and they were referring specifically to Donald Trump. This is one of the worst Supreme Court rulings since Roe v. Wade for abortion and the Dread Scott decision of the 1800s that protected slavery. Donald Trump said yesterday to fundamentalist protestants that all they have to do is vote for him one more time, and there will be no more elections after that. He plans to turn the government into a dictatorship. How can we blame the Germans for allowing Hitler to happen when we might allow him to do this as well? This is very serious. He does not.joke around and has no sense of humor. Donald Trump has never been pro life when he told his nephew that his dying child should be allowed to die and disabled people really don’t deserve to live. He said he never needs to ask forgiveness of anyone but since we are all sinners, how can we not ask God‘s forgiveness if we expect to avoid hell. Donald Trump is a functional atheist and not a Christian his greed and his sins and his cured abortions and mistresses go way back. The Republican party is so corrupt now that it will collapse in this decade and the Democratic Party needs radical reform as well, but at least it’s not trying to tear the country apart at the moment. Dear Mother Mary, patron of America ask your son Jesus to change us quickly.
