Glad to hear Mandy safely made it! Hoping everything goes well fpr her! Hope the fires in LA get better quickly as well. God bless and have a blessed week!
Oh these look so so yummy! I love dates even more as I got older... I'll try this one day♥️
So happy to hear Mandy is adjusting, hope her cold isn’t too bad! I join you in prayer for California, it’s been heartbreaking to watch but conditions to seem to be improving! Have a great week Jenny!
Thanks, Sandy! I'm looking forward to the weekend when I can chat with Mandy more and hear how things are going. Happy that conditions in LA are improving. I hope you have a wonderful week, too! 💜
Oh a cold really stinks! Especially being far from home. You must be so proud of your kids! Blessings to all♥️
Thank you, Marji. Hopefully Mandy's cold only lasts a week. It's hard enough dealing with new things when you're well. And, yes, so proud of my girls. They are good people. 💜
Happy to hear Mandy is adjusting to her new job and life. The fires in LA is terrifying!! We have friends a little bit south of the fires. They are worried and hopeful the winds die down.
Thank you, Deny. I can't even imagine being in the LA area right now. I also can't believe that the fires are still burning after a week. So many prayers for it to get put out. I hope your friends stay safe. 💜🙏
Prayers for Los Angeles and for Mandy. 🙏❤🙏 God's blessings to you and your family.
❤the air is so very toxic. Sad
Thank you, Diane. So many prayers going out. 💜🙏
Jenny, thank you for the update on Mandy. Hopefully, she will feel better soon. She needs some of your homemade chicken and veggie soup. ❤ Starbucks? Cool... I have never had a coffee from there, but I hear the coffee is good, yet strong brewed. I wish her all the best. I am glad there are good folks out there to help the families deal with necessities from the loss due to the fires. Lord knows there are many families struggling. Well, take care, Jenny. Oh, I meant to mention that the Korean paper money is so interesting, especially the difference in size. Very cool! Thanks for sharing that information! 🤔 Enjoy your day!
Thanks, Pam! Right?! I asked her if she bought some soup from the store and she said no. She did find a warm honey and fruit type of a drink that they don't sell here. And Mandy doesn't like to drink caffeine, but Starbucks has good croissants and hot chocolate. Hopefully her cold will only last a week. I am grateful for all the help going to LA, too. Many good people in this world helping. 💜
Thank you for the update on Mandy, I sure enjoy hearing how she’s doing. Too bad about the cold. Hopefully she’ll be better soon. I like the idea of having a bus stop, 7-11, Starbucks and a store nearby. It must be hard co-ordinating times to chat with her. I agree, it’s wonderful to hear about all the people helping with the terrible fires. I’ll sure be sending positive thoughts and wishes for things to get better soon. Take care. 💜💜
Thank you! Yeah, Mandy has a cold and is dealing with lots of stress of new things. Hopefully it only lasts a week, as most colds do. She should be at lunch soon, so hopefully she'll be able to check in. Looking forward to the weekend when we will have more time to chat and maybe have a video call. 💜
Oooo I bet chocolate chips would be good ❤❤❤
That sounds like a good addition! ☺
Late to the video since I've been a bit busy lately but so wonderful to see you! Absolutely love the recap - you are truly such an inspiration to all of us with how strong and amazing you have been the past year and over! God bless and keep up the amazing work! Happy 2025!
Aww, thank you so much! It was quite a year! Thanks for checking in! 💜
Dates are delicious natural sweeteners for recipes! These look absolutely delicious! Will definitely try it!
They are really tasty! I have come to like dates! ☺
Looks delicious!! I’ll have to try these!!
They are really good! I hope you do get to try to make them. ☺
Yeah Jenny! You did a great job with that difficult recipe! You had my mouth watering! I made some at Christmas but couldn’t taste them thanks to Covid! I kept 1 roll in the freezer to bake next month (currently enjoying some beach time 😊) I do slice mine thinner and cook mine about 10-12 minutes, thinner makes more cookies too 😊 I’m so happy your family enjoys them. My Mom always rolled hers into a long oblong shape. The food processor or blender is an interesting idea. I’d never thought of that. I guess in the days that recipe came from those didn’t exist, I might have to give that try! Have a great week Jenny 😊
Thank you, Sandy! I'm glad I did your recipe justice. I hope your taste will come back soon and you'll be able to taste yours. And I hope you are enjoying your beach time and that that is healing! 💜
How’s your daughter that working at school ? Hope things are going Well …
Thank you, Mary. She is doing ok. Today is her first day teaching alone and she has caught a cold. We figured that might happen. I did send some Advil Cold and Sinus with her so hopefully that will get her through. ☺
Thanks, I may just make these cookies.
Yay! Let me know if you do and if you like them. 😄
@@jenny_rice sure will.
Jenny, I bet they are delicious!! Great job, and your mom will enjoy them also! Thanks for sharing!😊
Mom texted me this morning that they were delicious! And my husband really likes them, too! Yay! 😄
@jenny_rice Well...I have no doubt they are yummy, and will be enjoyed by you and your family! 🙂
Good to hear Mandy made it!!wont take her long to get everything down!! What a great adventure ahead. For me it’s when I find a penny, means my Beagle Eddie is thinking of me ❤ Prayers for all the people involved in the fires in So California.
That is so neat that your beagle sends you pennies! I love that! And, yes, little by little Mandy is settling in. She got her phone figured out today and bought some food to have in her place. Slowly but surely. And so many prayers being sent to California! 💜
Have you ever considered flying to visit the girls in Korea? It might be an interesting and fun trip.
We have been thinking about it. Wayne has been checking out flight information. If we do it would probably be near the end of Cassie's semester. That would be exciting!! We've been joking about the Korean phrases I know. I'll say to people, "Hi, I'm Jenny. I love you. Goodbye!' 😂
I feel for you and Wayne worrying about Mandy so far away. Like you said, once she gets settled you’ll feel not as anxious. My daughter went to work in Africa when she was younger and I felt the same. It’s neat you could follow her plane trip online and be able to see a video of her room. I hope she feels comfortable there soon and thanks for sharing with us. 💜💜
Thank you! Africa! Wow! So yeah, you know what it's all about. It gets better day by day. She's slowly getting things done like getting her phone straightened out and buying some food. She still would like to find a money exchange place to exchange some of her American cash. In time. So grateful for having the computer to communicate and see her. 💜
Awe hey beautiful Cassie❤
Thank you! 💜
Jenny, I am glad Mandy made it safe and sound. It is such a long trip and makes for a long day(s) of travel. She will get acclimated in no time! Young folks can melt into the schedule and soon become a pro of their surroundings! Take care. I am glad Mandy made it! Blessings to you, Jenny! ❤
Perfect comment ❤
Thank you, Pam! I'm glad the Principal gave her her first day there off to get acclimated. She went in on their Friday and had a good day so that made us feel better. She'll be in a routine after another week or so. Today she got her phone straightened out. She still has to find a place to exchange some cash but it's the weekend so she's looking into it. Slowly but surely. 💜
driver should be monitoring the flight....not great...glad she got there!!
That's what I thought, too. Lessons learned. Mandy was supposed to tell the travel agent when she landed and so we figured she wouldn't let them know until after she was out of customs. That way it wouldn't matter how long it took the driver to be there because that would have given her time to get her SIM card and have it installed and get some Korean money and look around. But she is safe and sound so that's what matters. 💜
Absolutely especially when these kids are coming from different countries they know better
So glad Mandy got there safe and sound. It sounds like quite an exciting adventure she’s embarking on! I get Pennies from Heaven from my Mom. They do show up in the oddest places and at times just when you need to know they are there. Rest up Jenny and take care of yourself!
@@Sandy_Lou_Who Aww, sweet! So nice to get little messages from our loved ones beyond! 💜
I can understand that. My Danielle lives in Wyoming and I'm in CT. When she gets severe storms (and she has health issues) I worry. And we have no control over any of it and I try to hand it over to the Divine source! Blessings to all of you❤
Exactly. Give it up to God. 🙏
❤❤❤
Thank you! 💜
Airport goodbyes are just the worst :(( So sorry Jenny ❤
Thank you! Yes, they are hard. Especially when she's going to be gone for so long. 💜
Blessings for your daughter. She will have a wonderful adventure. God's peace for all of you.
Thank you, Diane! She will have a wonderful year! Especially after her sister gets there and they will do lots of sight seeing together. 💜
Oh Jenny, my Momma heart cries with yours! I remember when my daughter moved to Wyoming, I cried for 5 days and lost 7 pounds in a week, I was a wreck!! I’d go visit her and it didn’t get any prettier. I’ll be thinking of you this week, try to have a great one!!
Thank you, Sandy! Yeah, it's hard when they're so far away. I will hopefully feel less sad in a couple weeks when she has a routine down and her fridge filled with food and stuff. 💜
Happy your daughter arrived and it settling in. I can only imagine your anxiety and concern. Such a great experience for both your daughters. Happy New Year to you and your family Jenny. Stay well 🙏 looking forward to your next baking video. ❤
@@patriciaconstantino4774 Thank you, Patricia! I hope you are having a wonderful year so far! And a baking video should be coming on Monday. ☺
Oh my she looks like you and I cried with you both🙏
Yeah, she's my mini-me! ☺
Mandy!! Oh blessings on your journey.. so exciting. And as a mom who has a daughter who lives in Wyoming and us in Connecticut I feel this. Blessings to all of you♥️✨🙏
Thank you, Marji! And, yes, it is hard to have a child living so far away. I hope you get to see your daughter at least once a year. Thank goodness for computers and phones that we can talk with and hopefully do video chats with them! 💜
Good luck Mandy!! What an adventure for her. Glad she got out of LA before the fires. Is pretty awful near the airport.
Thank you, Deny! And, yes, I'm so glad she got out of LA! Those fires are so devastating. 😢
I’m way behind. What is Mandy going to be doing in Korea?
i have the same question.
Ha, ha! She is going to teach English as a second language (to kindergarteners I believe). So she'll be there for at least a year. If she likes it she may try to get an extension on her Visa and stay longer. ☺
@@danielbobberson9849 She will be teaching English as a second language to kindergarteners. ☺
@@jenny_rice wow what an experience....good for her and then I guess your other daughter is going to study there? I really felt your sadness. My daughter has never left except to do to camp...a year is a long time but these days you can stay in touch so easily. Thanks for sharing this.
@@danielbobberson9849 Yes, I am so grateful for the computer and being able to video chat her! 💜
Oh y’all gonna make me cry😢❤ I remember those days ❤ my daughter is now a nurse and so busy I miss those days terribly 😢and it’s been ten years 😅❤I will never stop missing my kids ❤blessed Prayers for safe travels for your child 😊 Also wish I had her skin she literally has no pores 😮❤️❤️❤️💘both your daughters are so beautiful
Thank you, Wanya! That is so nice that your daughter is a nurse. I am so grateful for people in that position. And understandable that you miss your kids. 💜
All the best to Mandy. May she have a fantastic year, learning and exploring and making memories. Jenny, hang in there...a year will go by before you know it. God bless you, Jenny, and your family !❤
Thank you, Pam! I'm sure the year will end up going fast but for now it seems like a long time. I'm sure she will have a wonderful time once she settles in. 💜
What a wonderful family you have Jenny. You are so blessed.🥰
Thank you. I truly am blessed. 💜
My husband & I grew up in Manitowoc then Appleton before moving down here to Louisville, KY in 2011. I don’t remember touring much in Milwaukee so your tour is mostly new things for us. We honeymooned at the Pfister Hotel which was VERY pricey at $42/night. Hah!
Neat! My daughter went to Oshkosh University and worked in Appleton. I was surprised to know the Public Market opened in 2005! I don't feel like it's been around that long already. When I've been to Milwaukee, it's usually with a destination in mind - like the Museum or Riverside Theater or what was called the PAC so I haven't walked around much either. I have always noticed the buildings, though, and loved the decorative concrete. Wayne said we should go walk around in the summer when it will be nicer out. Very neat that you honeymooned at the Pfister! Did you notice any ghostly activity? I hope you are doing well and aren't affected by the snowstorm. 💜
@ This is day four of “snow days” - the 10th largest amount of snow in 10 YEARS. It’s sticking around tho’ bc they don’t plow snow on the side streets. Public school remains closed through at least Thursday. My 13 yr old grandson has enjoyed snow boarding, etc.
@@atyourside3123 Day four!! Oof! Neat that your grandson is enjoying it! That's what snow days are for! I hope it warms up for your soon so the snow can melt. 🙏
Love this video!! 👍Great tour!! Beautiful. Thank you for taking us along on this journey. Happy and Healthy New Year to you and your family Jenny ❤
Thank you, Patricia! I hope you have a healthy fun-filled year! 🎉
That was so fun following you through the Public Market and seeing all the goodies. I really like walking through them too and having lunch. So, as soon as I saw the Milwaukee sign I immediately remembered the two shows Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley, which the latter song is now stuck in my mind! So funny. I loved the photo of you and The Fonz. Thanks again. 💜💜
Yeah, you have to sing the songs when you think of them! I'm glad to finally was able to see the Bronze Fonz! And the Market was neat to see, too. ☺
Happy New Year Jenny 🎉😊❤️
Happy New Year! 🎉
Fun to go along with you! I love the old buildings in cities. We are near St. Louis so lots of those there and my sister lives in Pittsburgh, another city with old historic buildings. I love going to markets too. Pittsburgh has an area with lots of markets, fun way to spend a day. Happy New Year Jenny🎉
Thanks, Sandy! I have been to a few markets and have liked them. I'll have to try going more. Seeing as you're near St. Louis - have you ever been up in the Arch? I was when I was a kid. I'd like to take my girls some day. We were going to do that for our vacation in 2020 but then the world shut down so that's still on my list. I hope you have a fabulous New Year! 🎉
@ I have not been up in the Arch, my family has but I have a fear of heights as well as closed in spaces and the cars that carry you to the top are small and it’s not a quick trip, so I’ve never worked up the nerve to try it
@@Sandy_Lou_Who Understandable. I think going up in the arch was mostly where my fear of heights came from. When we were at the top my dad pretended like he was going to push me out the window! Funny not funny! 😜
@@jenny_rice sounds like something my Dad would have done🤣
@@Sandy_Lou_Who 😂
Place looked splendid - great and fun tour! Man, now I feel hungry looking at all that food! God bless and have a Happy New Year!
Ha, ha! Yeah, it was all such good food! It was fun to walk through and then sit up above and look around. I hope you have a fabulous New Year! 🎉
Wow, you did some walking! All the food looked so good, particularly the bakery items. I would have eaten dessert first! It looked like so much fun. Happy New Year❤
I know, right?! I told Wayne I wanted one of everything! Thought I might get a truffle after eating our lunch but I was full. I hope you have a fabulous New Year! 🎉
Felt like I was there with you! What struck me when you first started at the market was how there was an abundance of men there shopping! Guess I never thought about it before, but evidently most shoppers (especially in food markets) have mostly women in my experience. Hmmm Neat!
Interesting. I didn't notice when I was there. ☺
Great tour. I too love walking through old towns. One of my favorite places is downtown Boston. So much history. Thanks for taking us along on your journey today
I have not been to Boston but would like to see it. ☺
Very nice tour!
Thanks! ☺
Will they work with healthier ingredients? Whole wheat flour or almond flour, honey or maple syrup instead of white sugar etc
I think it would. I know they came up with this specific formula and people asked about the sugar and Dr. B said that as a one time treat this would be fine to eat. But I think it's mainly that because of the blue dye you can see that in your output and so can tell how long the transit/digestion time is. ☺
Happy New Year! You are an amazing and strong woman and I applaud you! Blessings to you!
Thank you, Marji! I keep doing my best! Thanks for being here through my journey! 💜
Such a great and fun video!! Love it!! Looks like you and your family had a great time. Wishing you and your family a very Happy and Healthy 2025 🎉❤😊

Thank you! Yes, what a difference a year makes! I'm grateful to keep feeling better day by day. It should be a great year! 💜
Thank you for your video! I really like your new grill, I’ll have to look into it, so small and easy to clean. Your new sweatshirt is adorable. I wear a lot of 3/4 sleeves now too, as I like to roll up my sleeves in the house. My go to breakfast is peanut butter on whole grain toast, honey and a latte. Yours looks good too! We stay home on New Year’s Eve now, checking in on which country is celebrating at the moment, then back to watching some of my taped shows. Thanks again, and Happy 2025, may it be a healthy fun one for you!! 🎉💜💜
Thanks! The grill is really nice! We used it again the other day and Wayne found out the lid does come off so that makes it so easy to clean! And the food tastes just like it was grilled outside. Honey and peanut butter. Sounds delicious. I've had both separately on toast but not together. Since we were playing a game on NYE I missed the celebrations around the world. My mom said there is a video of that so I'll have to look it up. I hope you have a fabulous 2025! 🎉
