So until this one really falls apart we'll stick with it. Yes, this December will be filled with lots of thoughts of being grateful. And soup is so good! I love this potato soup! Hi Jenny 👋 your tree is gorgeous!! Yes, we put ours up last weekend and you’re right it takes time putting the tree up and decorating it. We actually downsized this year with tree. It’s a bit smaller than last years which we also had for a long time. Only a few decorations outside which we have not done yet. I like decorating my dollhouses that I have collected. Can’t wait to see your tree with ornaments. I’m sure it looks beautiful!! It looks so pretty now with lights and the way it turns. Going to watch your orange muffin video now. 🧡

We had looked at replacing our tree a couple years ago with one that just has 3 parts to put together and already has lights on but we didn't like the way any of them looked. I'm sure that time is coming as parts of our branches are breaking off now. I wish we could put pictures in these comments. I would love to see how you decorate your doll houses! How nice you got to celebrate Thanksgiving with Wayne’s mom and sister and later with your mom. I actually remember the WKRP turkey drop episode, so for Wayne to get the t-shirt is so funny! The Christmas rug you made is very cute! I’ve never seen a turning Christmas tree, how beautiful and it’s so old and still looks great. "Grieving the Me of Last Year"? Wow, that says volumes. I had ended up with the same mindset year after year until I decided to break the habit. It wasn't easy, but it had to be done. (head injury et al). Now I just let life flow the way it wants to and I enjoy wherever it take me. Is there a magic solution? Is there a perfect direction? No!!! But there is the right way for each and every one of us. None of it is the same. So, just learn how to flow with the flow and enjoy the ride. Life is too short to do otherwise. Happy Holidays. Our weather sucks here, Jenny! Wind chills below zero. Blustery and frigid out and we are moving stuff 68 miles north to Even colder Minnesota!! I'm to old for this cold weather!!!

I know we usually have a week of near zero temps in February but then that's usually it so I am grateful for the just cooler weather right now. I'm starting to realize why people retire to the South, too! 😄
Gosh this video hit me Jennie. I cried all day Saturday while putting up my tree, mostly because I was also grieving the past me, and I wasn’t feeling well but had to get it done, but also because it’s a painful time of year. I had to go no contact with my siblings 4 years ago so I grieve that loss every year. The tree my Mom had was like yours with the branches you stick in a hole, they were color coded, it was a beautiful tree, the ones today aren’t as full. Enjoy the season!
I am sorry you had a crying day. I hope you were able to feel your feelings and get them all out. I'm so sorry you don't have contact with your siblings. That must be very difficult.
