I had a similar experience in the beginning. I didn’t like it as much. Seemed like the 90s fragrance to me too metallic and too barbershopy. But I was curious to try it again, and I realized that the metallic and barbershop notes go away soon (topnotes) and the much more beautiful mix of whale blended, sweet and almost flowery-fruity notes emerge. And I really love the sophistication behind this now and I don’t mind the initial top notes anymore. Spray more and smell after 15 minutes so beautiful.

The dark rum note just lingers the whole lifetime of the scent. but in the firt 2 hours OMG it is intense. but mellows out but never leaves.

I never understood the fasle hype with this one... It smells like a cheap Flinstones Push Pop/Creamsicle... Just horrible. NOTHING like the quality of Bleu De Chanel... Now that's a great fragrance.

How about a early morning work fragrance around the coffee pot fitting a cup, and my beautiful Melanated CEO sister looking well rested by the eyes. To me, it smells like almost nothing. I just received it, so maybe it needs time to macerate, but I just pick up an alcohol smell and that’s it.

It does smell like laundry, specifically the posh hotel laundry I got when i was in Dubai. Therefore smells expensive to me!

I own the full bottles of Renaissance and Harlem Nights, Autumn Rhythm (more leather and woodsy), and Oud Galore (a sweeter rose-based oud with cloves and cinnamon). I definitely recommend one of Chris Collins' latest releases, Kingmaker (which has patchouli, sandalwood and bergamot).

I never realized how much these were a much needed item until a few years ago. Preferably, for me, it is the one without any label distinction on it.

Maceration, most fragrances seem to get better and stronger the longer you have them(if stored correctly).
