    I remember seeing this video when I was going THROUGH it friend! I wanted a part time job to help fund homeschool trips but then my husband was let go from his job so praise God my job became a full time work from home position 😭🤍. I struggled because I didn’t work for 8 years and then went to full blown full time working mama! I cried so much thinking I had to send my babies to school and seeing your video helped me see that you can work AND be home with your babies! We homeschool in the morning and I work from lunch to dinner time. It’s a huge sacrifice but I’m so thankful God blessed us with this job! So thank you for posting that video because it truly helped me when I was in the middle of a storm! 🤍

    We also do Bible Stories for history with our preschoolers and kindergarteners. You can find good children’s Bibles at Hobby Lobby. We are Catholic so as they get older we use a Catholic Children’s Bible. My 10 year old is beginning the study of the gospels for Faith Studies, from a regular Bible this year. I usually do Bible studies with the little ones for history until about 1st grade and then I switch to keeping the Bible and Catechism as Faith studies and we add history as a separate subject at which point I do American folk stories.

    I had no experience/education related to the teaching profession when I went into homeschooling my older child, several years ago. I went through a program in our community that has the curriculum already set up for you online. It is the same curriculum that the local (public) elementary schools in our area use. Also, as an added plus, I was considered a “coach,” as my son went to a certified teacher once to twice a week. Interesting side note… When my son first started being home schooled in 2nd grade, the teacher that worked with us said he was behind in reading. When he went back to in person school years later, they tested him at above grade level in both math and reading! He still is, to this day! And he loves going to in person school. But my time with him, when he needed, and wanted the one on one attention is a great memory! Interesting side note, my daughter/younger child, has always had in person school, except for during the height of covid. Personality differences between the kids, definitely!❤👍

    Seeing this video come up on my feed two years after you created it, wow! 😂❤ Anyway, I loved it! I have been a stay at home mom for about five years, now. Home schooled my son in 2nd and 3rd grade, and then both he and my daughter had “online” school with a local elementary school, for a year to year and a half, during covid. Now that they are in 5th and 7th grade, do I miss the military, or billing? (I was in medical billing after the Army.) No, I do not. Even though my kids are no longer home schooled, being here at home is great, as I can take them to and from school. And when the kids have conflicting activities (sports, band, etc.) my husband and I are able to make sure each of us goes to one. That way, neither of our kids miss out on a practice or a game. Even better, both the communication between my husband and I, as well as with the kids, is so much better than before. Thanks again for the awesome video! And sorry for the long comment!🤣❤️👍

    EXPERIENCES FROM TRADITIONAL STAY AT HOME WIVES AND MOTHERS: I once saw a comment that said, "Men want a stay at home wife till they find out she stays at home." I've seen a number of cases where the man insisted he wanted the wife to stay home and be with the kids and then turn around to tell her she contributes nothing to the household and is a freeloader. My former colleague who worked 2 jobs told me it happened to her. After she had a baby, her husband insisted she stay home and he would pay all the bills. She even got offered her old job back, and he told her not to take it. She said barely 6 months in, and he started complaining that he's the only one paying all the bills and the verbal abuse started. Men feel its their right to withhold money, but women should not withhold the free labor they're doing for the entire household. My mum has lived for 20 years with a man who hits her, and when I asked her why she never leaves she said, "I have no work history, no bank account, no money, no education, mental health issues...what else am I supposed to do?" She's only 40 years old and feels like she has no future. Young women need to hear this because they are falling for a fantasy that will ruin their lives. It's not even good for the children because for years her sacrifice, the stress/depression that I saw in her, and the daily violence created a huge rift between us. I got into a big argument with my husband last year and he gave me 2 weeks to move out. Ever since then i moved in with my mom to finish my degress. That was the last time I'll ever live with a man or depend on one. Weird how these trad wife content creators think their husbands will live forever and always be smitten by them. Their husbands go out every day and work with other women. Some of those women are attractive and intellectually challenge him. Do they think talking about what she and the kids did that day is going to keep him interested? This basically happened to me. After staying at home while caring for two young children and the household, he told me I "contributed nothing of value." I was treated like I was not allowed to use "his money" and even told if I wanted to buy something for the home that he didn't approve of I'd need to pay for it myself. We were never poor, so money wasn't an issue...it was all about abuse and control. They need to criminalize abandoning a woman and 5 kids like they criminalize abortion. DNA tests at birth and automatic child support orders against the fathers needs to be a law. They want the death penalty for women who terminate pregnancies? Same penalties for men who abandon their families for other women (or men). I’m 60 and this trad wife shit is disturbing. When I was a teen in the 70’s so many women were newly divorced, with 4+ kids, STRUGGLING. Working as cashier or home daycare, children in rags and hungry. All my friends KNEW we needed education, careers and financial independence. These young ladies are delusional. They have seen their mothers working and decided they don’t want that life. They have no idea what they are signing up for. Any grown adult who insists on their grown adult partner being 100% financially dependent on them is objectively vile and a danger to society! My husband left us homeless twice! The second time I was done! He went to jail for abusing us, and the kids and I ended up homeless in a shelter. Now I'm in subsidized housing and no money. Take care of yourself first before marriage and children and don't rely on a man to take care of you. Protect yourselves ladies because most men won't.

    It's crazy this video came up when I just decided to go back to work in person andnit has been a rollercoaster of emotions. From co workers with bipolar attitudes who carry their personal to work to getting ordered around like a slave because I am the only African American girl there😢. Crazy thing is i actually enjoy the job because I connect with senior citizens and we do all types of crafts/games etc like getting paid to play (a dream job) but now the center is closing and us as the workers are left to explain to these ladies and gentlemen that had a safe entertaining place to come to will no longer have that available 😢 it sucks and its actually some women who treated us as we were a second family because they are widowers, have lost children etc. This is really tough for me to leave them😢😢

    Currently struggling with this as well... ive already put in my 2 weeks because i just had a baby and i was being told that my home environment (even tho i work remotely) needs to mirror the office, meaning my child would need to be at day care during my shift. Im simply not comfortable with that plus she's a preemie so that's definitely a no-go for me. After much consideration and discussions with my husband, i decided it was best for my family. Even before i came to this decision, i felt the pull or the "calling" to be a homemaker. Mind you, i was very career oriented and took pride in earning a degree prior to starting our family. Now that my baby's here, i feel such a strong pull to just be present for her and my husband. However, im struggling to shake this odd feeling of guilt associating with quitting a job and not having another one lined up.

    I cried watching this 🥹 I made the decision in 2021 to be become a stay at home wife and can relate to sitting in front of a computer and letting life pass you. My family (mainly women) judged my decision but I’ve had to ignore their opinions and trust my inner voice which was God leading me. I now am 4 months pregnant and getting ready to become a stay at home mom which is truly God answering a prayer. Thank you for touching on as African women not having examples of women who have become stay at home wives, moms, or even homeschooled their children. I’m learning that we are the new and few African women, wives, and mothers who are setting a new tone and pace to live the life God has truly intended for us. Thank you again for this inspirational video!

    Your daycare experience is very valid! I have always been wary & scared to leave my kids at a daycare because of the horror stories yes, and I also worked at a daycare once and that was enough to make me not want to send my kids there! But my question for you is: do you have to be very knowledgeable I guess, to be able to homeschool your kids? I always thought if I homeschooled and my kids needed help in a subject that I wasn’t fond of, I could always get them local tutoring right?

    • @KaylaElizabeth
      @KaylaElizabeth 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Bringing in a tutor is a great option! I think if I homeschooled long term it is something I would for sure implement. Because my boys are so young, I don’t find it necessary just yet.
