Ladies, I'm glad you took the advice. Shotgun is good for dealing with zombies. It is more efficient. For bosses, it's better to use pistol and grenades. Shotgun is powerful when up close. It's dangerous to be close to a boss, right? You should collect a lot of pistol ammo. 45CP and 9mm are different ammo. 9mm doesn't appear in the second run Leon part, and you have to combine gun powder, which is a waste. And the magnum gun called the Light Hawk is one of the best weapons in this game. Use it for boss fights or dealing with strong mobs like Lickers. You don't have to avoid all the zombies. Just take out the ones on the paths you often pass by. Shoot a zombie's face with a shotgun at close range. You can take out a zombie in one shot. You'll still have plenty of shotgun cells left over.

You are safe from Mr X in the Waiting Room, he can't follow you in there. I think you missed a First Aid Spray in the STARS office (it doesn't show on the map as it's in a box on the wall). There are also extra handgun bullets at the end of the hall if you turn right when exiting the library on the 2nd floor.
